This is another episode with Mac in suit! He looks terrific in suit/tux, I love that so much!!

I also like his interaction with Lulu: he totally doesn't know how to handle her. He looked shy, a bit uncomfortable and embarassed blush.gif , but still couldn't resist from helping her.

My 9 year old says this episode is boring.

I'm inclined to agree with him. I actually thought about switching it off at one point.

Nothing seems to really work for this episode, there's some humor, but that wore off pretty fast when I realized it was the only thing keeping me awake. sad.gif

This one goes to the bottom of the pile

I thought this was an okay episode. Entertaining enough in a light-hearted way. But I couldn't shake the feeling that it was written to be a Penny Parker episode, and then maybe Teri Hatcher wasn't available, so they quickly rewrote it with a new character. Obviously certain scenes would have been different with Penny, but overall, it really had the feel of a Penny episode.

Possibly. Why is it that there were so few GOOD female characters throughout MacGyver's 7 year run? I guess we should just be thankful that Zoe (from "Legend Of The Holy Rose") didn't become a recurring character... that may have forced me to stop watching entirely.

Ok..it was a pretty silly plot but loved the music related them and the 20's clothing. I did wonder why he didn't insist upon driving the car.

Mac was dressed as eye candy, for sure.

Definitely one of my least favorite episodes. The women is annoying. The whole plot seems un MacGyver like.

Now technically I'm driving a stolen car following a kidnapping... and I didn't even get to have my first cup of coffee. (Mac)
Your burning hot MacGyver... And so is Pete! ! (Murdoc)
Does anyone have a knife?? Yes...it has lots of different blades (Macgyver music plays while mac examines the knief) ...I know
Why are you taking your pants off?? You got a better idea? I'm still trying to figure out what yours is!!

I liked the character of Lulu. Even though she was a Penny Parker type character. She did have enough since to get the handcuff key off of the security guard.

I like the 20's theme. I also liked the end when Mac introduced Lulu to Mitch.

I wondered the same thing. I kept waiting for him to tell Lulu "Hand me the keys, I'll drive." I wonder if Mac had to be treated for whiplash? laugh.gif

The car wasn't' his, so it's a bit hard to insist upon driving someone else's car.

I wouldn't have gotten in the car with Lulu in the first place if I had known she drove like that. I wonder how many tickets she got for reckless driving?

He couldn't have minded it too much if he kept getting in the car with her. Maybe he liked to live on the dangerous side from time to time.

I noticed that neither one of them were wearing a seat belt. So that must be true.

Actually I notice that a lot in 80's TV shows. Seat belts seemed to be very optional back then. At least on TV shows anyway.

I just wonder what Lulu's auto insurance rate was? Did the GEICO cover her? Can you imagine how many reckless driving tickets she must have had. I don't think seat belt laws really came into affect until the late 90's

Lulu makes Penny Parker look like a genius. And she is seriously annoying. I didn't like the way she ran over MacGyver, about killed giving him a ride home, then stuck her tongue down his throat. It was all just...weird.

Mac seems to be a little irritable in the beginning of the episode...especially with the guy with the stereo....but then again he was knocked off his bike and bopped on the head later on lol

I'd be irritable too if I had to put up with that psycho women. She's the main reason I don't like this episode. She's like Penny Parker on stupidity steroids.

lulu was way annoying however the scene in the car where she buries her head in macs lap looking for the claim ticket , macs reaction and putting his hands up and looking around to make sure no one can see and misunderstand is priceless and unexpected from the macgyver writers.

Lulu pissed me off to the point I wanted to slap her. And her driving!!! Did she get her license from a cornflake packet?

Apparently I am in the minority for this episode. I really liked this ep! I agree that Lulu was annoying, but I got a kick out of Mac's reaction when she had a couple really good moves: switching the Amadaeus for the band players fiddle and stealing the hand cuff keys.

One thing I really took from this episode was the Healthy hints. I am not sure if that is what Mr. Anderson and the producers wanted me to take from this episode, but I really took them personally. I am only a few years older than Mr. Anderson was at that time and he was in fantastic shape. I liked how he encouraged Wilt after their bike ride. Also their comments at the end of the episode where Wilt feels and looks better after adopting Mac's healthy diet. I am quite out of shape, but this episode just drove home the encouragement I needed to begin getting myself healthy!!!

Here's to getting healthy enough to do the things I want to do. I have already hit the local mountain bike trail for the first time ever! boxing.gif
