Just did a Q & A with Kerry Lenhart who was credited with writing 4 episodes and helped create the Jack Dalton character.

Great Q&A with some juicy insider tidbits being rescued off the MacGyver Scrapheap .... and now, of course, forever preserved within the Cyberworld!

Don't know how you do it! Amazing interview! Again! Inspiration behind Jack is pleasantly surprising and yet something I HAVE to see for myself next time I watch M Lighting. biggrin.gif

Thanks Joe and Denizen, glad you like them! I gotta give full credit to Kerry and the other interviewees who have taken time to jog their memories and then write out long, thoughtful responses. Kerry did had some really interesting stuff to say.

The MacGyver Project Blogspot has a new interview with scriptwriter Kerry Lenhart. Apparently this man brought Jack Dalton to life and wrote Three For The Road along with Rob Hedden amongst others and Mask of the Wolf. His part on the show didn't last very long due to other starting projects at the time.

A very interesting story on Three For The Road, I might say. Apparently the chase in that one was supposed to last four acts. Or at least that's what he wanted. The chase still takes up a good amount of the episode, at least half of it. It is one of the lighter episode as well, but in this case, I can appreciate it. It is one of my favourite episodes of the second season.

Read especially the part on how they decided who would get the writing credit and the story credit for the episode. Apparently there is a difference in pay for those who wrote it and who figured out the story. They kinda let fate decide it but on a real Mac-ish way.

They also explain on how Mac took out the bad guy with the car hood. Enjoy!
