I just watched this episode with a friend of mine. At a certain point in the episode, it seems like everybody is going home for the rest of the weekend. Than we have MacGyver going to Sandra's office to say goodbye. To get rid of him she says something like: 'You better go MacGyver or you'll miss your chopper.'

What chopper? Because after he catches up with Pete, they're going to the Jeep as if they were really going home.

When the doctor is getting old in her office, her face and hair get old, yet her hands stay young.

if macs radio audio was down becuase of a broken antenea how was he able to hear that the general was ordering the firestorm?

mac says" Everybody stay away from that window" because the organism is eating through and then immediatly goes to the window himself and then calls sandra over

MacGyver did what he always does, he risked himself to save others. He ordered everyone away for their safety. Then he took the risk himself to make the assessment (one sick is better than them all being sick) to see if he could do anything to stop it.

I presume part of his assessment was that it was safe for Sandra to help him.

Not so much a nit pick, but when Mac goes into that decontamination thing, the guy tells him that it will strip away the first layer of his skin.

Sounds very painful. Mac should have come out with bright red skin, and have been in a fair amount of pain - yet he looks fine.

And also, I dunno if the ladies noticed this...but if he went into the room completely naked and that stuff DID remove the top layer of his skin...he'd have a rather sore, erm...willy, wouldn't he?

Nah, exfoliating isn't painful.

Also the machine wasn't stripping off the skin. It killed it off and reduced it to dust, which is what happens to the top layer of skin on a regular bases anyway.

Dead skin is responsible for making up the majority of dust particles in the home, I would expect the machine would be something like a sun bed with low level radiation.

I was sure I heard the guy say it would 'strip it off' - what exactly did he say, then? I did wonder why Mac looked at his hands afterwards, maybe that was why.

He says "zap off your outer layer of skin"

if you watch closely you'll see a bunch of dust fall from his hand, that's what he's looking at.

Oh okay. I can't hear very well so that's probably why I got it wrong. Yeah he did seem kinda interested in his hands, didn't he? Hehe

I noticed during the lad explosion that they use some footage of the lad exploding from the Pilot. It only appears for a half a second and takes few viewing to notice.

when Mac retrieves the canister in the marshy area and gets up to meet the chopper his knees are completely covered in black muck yet when he arrives at the Phoenix foundation a short time later and gets out of the helicopter his uniform is completly clean and white

There's more stockfootage. I think also in Tough Boys and Prometheus Syndrome they use the same explosion footage all over again.

If MacGyver lost audio/video communication due to a broken antenna while retrieving the canister how was he still able to hear Pete?

You mean when he hears them arguing about sending the aircraft to destroy everything? Maybe he was able to receive audio but not sending audio to them.

I thought about that too, but they couldn't hear or see him until he fixed the antenna, which indicates that both audio and video where through the same system and on the same signal (like a TV signal. So with the antenna broken neither send or receive would work.

I'm trying to remember if I've ever had sound with no picture on a TV while playing with the aerial and if that could apply to this situation?

Just thinking about this.

When the organism is eating it's way through the seal Mac, Pete, Sandra and Phelps are all exposed, yet nothing happens to them. The leaking cannister killed 900 animals while still in the cannister. Sandra and Ace are exposed after Ace knocks a sample out of Sandra hands but when the organism leaks through the sealed window, they're all clear despite being exposed all four of them. The four of them should've been dead.

They're not exposed because it didn't eat all the way through. That's the whole point of the scene. They stopped it before it got out.... so no exposure.
