So this news seems like a smack in the teeth to all MacGyver fans.

This seems to be a new character REPLACING Jack Dalton!!!!!

So they're not even keeping the same character names. How much more can they stuff this up??

This is so frustrating!! What else should we expect from this new reboot?! What a complete fudge up!

Gunner? Seriously? The man who hates guns has a best friend named Gunner?

I think its a little premature to assume there won't be a Jack Dalton. He might show up eventually. We are all claiming there are only 16 pieces on the chess board when in fact there might be more that we didn't know about.

Well they had to cast someone in this role I guess.


I just hope Jack Dalton shows up eventually in the future.

First season episode where mac sees high school friend and NO METION OF JACK DALTON OCCURS ...


Again if this was a movie I would complain as a show I am giving the producers a bit of leeway as I want build up to familiar characters like Peter Thorton Jack Dalton etc...

Plus adding in characters not from the original show in a weird way helps to raise the stakes because Lincoln unlike Peter thorton could very well be killed. Gunner unlike Jack Dalton could be a bad guy...with the more familiar names coming in to replace the new ones who either die are written off the show or are really bad guys.

I totally agree. We are fearing the worst because we have seen it happen before. But it could veer off on unfamiliar ground and end up on the turf we all remember.
