I hardly found one poor "behind the scenes" from MacGyver on YouTube, does anyone know where to find others?? Some funny staff, where they make jokes or kidding eachother you know... biggrin.gif

Not really. The most you're gonna find is tidbits in interviews. Kind of a bummer. sad.gif

Yeah it is a bummer, but remember MacGyver was made in a era before DVD's or any other form of media sharing was event thought of.

Back then the closest we got to out-takes was a show called TV Bloopers and Practical Jokes.

Some other old shows have got blooper reels on the DVD releases though, but then they also have remastered picture and sound too, something Paramount seems unwilling to do for one of their biggest shows ever. dry.gif

No Kiwi, there is a lot of funny behind the scenes from other TVseries. Little house on the pairie/Highway to heaven with Michael Landon have a really good ones for example! tongue.gif Star Trek original series was not bad either biggrin.gif
But then none from Mac, too bad sakopen.gif

I wonder if some maker from the series ever filmed any material with handycam on the sets behind camera. There can be material, but somebody is keeping them for home use not sharing for public.

Yes because they have had the effort put into them. Paramount doesn't appear to consider MacGyver worthy of any effort. Which is really weird considering it's one of their most famous shows, but money talks and sometimes it has some strange things to say.

I personally think the outtakes are still on the original video tapes they used for editing. It's just a matter of CBS wanting to use them.

perhaps, or no one made jokes, or they just deleted the scenes, never thinking Macfans would ask for them 30 years later! whistle.gif

I've heard and read various comments which indicate they did goof around on set. In http://www.macgyveronline.com/pages/article8.html#.VT_oFvmSybM RDA initiates the goofing.

I think all TV shows and movies have funny out-takes. It's just the nature of the beast and RDA seems to have always been up for a good laugh whenever possible.
