Not the best episode for me, but I’ve always had a soft spot for the nature-friendly angle. Love those eagles.
My main qualm indeed pertains to the stock footage, which is a little too sketchily integrated. You can just about pinpoint specific plot points that were directly influenced by the images they had at hand. It gives the entire episode a bit of an artificial vibe...
The villains weren't particularly inspired either, and I for one wasn't that taken by the Shane-style dynamic with the kid.
Much appreciated to MiracleMac et al for having taken the time to ascertain the source for all the stock material, by the way. I’ll be watching those films in full as they look really good and well photographed - and were Oscar-nominated to boot.
