Very nice! How's everyone doing?

I smashed my head into an open locker door today at work. Two older ladies saw it and made a fuss. The sheer embarrassment made me start crying, which made them fuss more. And now that I'm home it's my mom's turn. Can I please just suffer in peace?

I'm sorry to hear that Dragondog. There's just some days that go that way. The good thing is that tomorrow is a whole new game

Definitely better than yesterday. Other than the bad headache that got me during the last fourth of my shift (which went away after I snuck off to take something), it went well. Especially when one of my coworkers ordered pizza and breadsticks for everyone

Unfortunately, because my shift varies between Mon-Fri and Tues-Sat, I fluctuate between three day weekends, and only one day off. This week is the one day off

That sounds like some of the schedules I've had over the years. I always envied the Monday thru Friday, 9-5 crowd

Unfortunately those same people still leave their lockers open despite apologizing and admitting that they shouldn't have done that in the first place. At least I'm more aware now?

Got assigned to Christmas displays today. They were all behind a forest of Christmas trees... which couldn't be moved... so I had to forced my way in between trees covered in fake snow. My clothes will never look the same XD

Also swept up pieces from a display stand someone knocked over, helped a coworker after she dropped a box of fragile stuff, and mopped up a mess from a tube of orange acrylic paint...

I worked in retail for 10 years. No 2 days are ever the same, and the training in dealing with the public is priceless. You're doing great Dragondog! Christmas retail is unreal

I overheard a story in the break room, apparently an older lady came in and argued with the assistant manager because she felt they short-changed her 35 cents. They took it out for taxes...

She even said, "Even if I have to pay taxes, you should give me the full amount back!" No, Karen, do some research on how taxes actually work...

On the positive side, someone brought homemade cookies into the break room for everybody

That sounds about right. After this, you'll be able to do anything!
