Should the new Macgyver drive a Jeep?

I think he should drive a jeep. It would be a great nod to the original series but more importantly it's an extension of the MacGyver personality and mindset.

The jeep wrangler is the SAK of the car world.

How about the Mercedes-Benz Citan?

I think he should.

The Jeep is a must for me. I can't imagine Mac driving something else.

It could be this one from the 90's:

Why go back to a 90's model? The reboot will be set in 2016 and Jeep is still going strong and still producing the Wrangler model so he could drive the latest Wrangler.

I can see them using the identical model of the original as a nod to the show. He would be using it as a first car before moving onto bigger things.

Definitely a Jeep!

Well maybe you're right, perhaps it wouldn't make sense to go for a 90's model. I guess I always looked at MacGyver as a lover of retro/vintage things.


The Wrangler it is then.

You know, I love Mac, and his Jeep just the way they "were", but Mac also liked his motor bikes, and if you think back to flashbacks scenes such as the one in Flames End, then younger Mac did have a bike.

I wonder if they might go down that route? Hmmn....

(Not saying they should, but rather could) If I had to choose, he'd still have the Wrangler.

That's a good point. In fact if they were staying true to the already established timeline they would have him riding his motorcycle - at least for a while.

A motorbike would also be cool and an interesting nod to the original series.
