I received this great little story from a fan of Dana. It's such a nice little background story that I wanted to share it with everyone.
As a child, I remembered that the late Dana Elcar use to eat in my late father Mario’s restaurant, Whitey’s Tavern, whenever Mr Elcar was in Greenwich Village, New York. My father use to say that Dana was a very nice person. Years later when Dana developed glaucoma, my father felt so bad for Dana. Mr Elcar was a very good actor and I enjoyed watching him on television. So did my father. I just found out recently that Dana passed away. I extend my condolences to his family and I know Mr Elcar is resting in peace. God bless. Angela |
