Hope I'm posting this in the right place, I wasn't really sure where to put it! I was just wondering if anybody can help with any suggestions as to where I can get region 2 MacGyver DVD box sets. I live in the UK and you can get Seasons 1-4 through Amazon.co.uk. However, you can't get any seasons further on than that. I have managed to track down Season 6 from Amazon France, and Seasons 5 and 7 are available from a Dutch website but at an absolutely astronomical price which I just can't afford. The first four seasons' price through Amazon.co.uk is around £15, which is fine. I didn't really want to pay more than £20, but with postage the ones from the Dutch website were more like £50 each and that's ridiculous. And seeing as I'm collecting the Stargate SG-1 box sets at the same time, it's just far too expensive
So, any help would be very much appreciated!

The box sets haven't been released for region 2 yet.

But the good news is that your DVD player will play region 1.

You may need to unlock the region free on the player, but thats easy as doing a Google search.

Talking about the full series box set or the seperate season ones? Because I can just walk into the store and buy them seperately.

I wish CBS Paramount would get their skates on and issue Season 5 in Region 2: they seem to have been releasing 1 season a year so far, on average, and it's about time they released Season 5 - I'm getting Mac withdrawal symptoms!

As said in the other topic: it is released in Europe, because I bought the sixth season recently at the store.

MacGyverGod - that's interesting, as I've looked at all my regular haunts for DVDs, and I've been unable to find the Region 2 boxset for Season 5 in the UK.

However, according to a business seller on eBay UK who I found doing a Google search, Season 5 ain't out here until March 3rd 2009. Just 2 weeks to wait, I suppose .

Just pre-ordered my region 2 Season 5 box set from one of my favourite suppliers (can I mention it?) today for when it's released in July (now that's even longer than usual between season 4 and 5).

I bought all the seasons now. So they are seperately available in Europe.

I don't know about elsewhere in Europe but in the UK Sally they have only released seasons 1-4 so, good to see Season 5 is coming... I had to divert to other means of aquiring them. Though I will buy them if they ever come out... You can buy a region 1 dvd player cheaply then buy the region 1 box sets if you really wanted. I wouldn't blame you. Damn Paramount they never seem to have any clue when it comes to the audience...

I have a question to those who own the region code 2 DVD box (S6+7) from the Netherlands.

What language and subtitle tracks are on the DVD? I'm asking because I know of DVDs where the first language of the DVD-releasing country is fixed when watching it in the original language (English). That doesn't have to be the case. But before I'll probably order the DVD I just want to be sure.

Alright, for those who are interested. My curiousity won and I ordered the Dutch Season 6 box. For those who wanna watch it in English it's perfectly fine.

You can chose between the language tracks: English, Spanish, French, Italian
subtitles: Danish, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Suomi, Swedish and Englsih for hearing impaired

The only thing they could have mentioned on Amazon should have been that the booklet and all the explanations are in Dutch and French. Anyway, I additionally put an English descrition from the internet in the box. The episode titles are in English though. So it's easy to find the right episodes.

Btw, I paid EUR 47.00 for the box which is 10 Euros above the price the season 1-4 boxes in Germany cost.

it's a dutch release but doesn't have dutch sound track? That's rude!
