I've always wanted macgyver action figures.

So once i saw the richard dean anderson "jack o'neill" figure from diamond select toys i knew i had a good starting point.

I decided to use the free comic book day give away figure version because it was just him in a t-shirt. i can build up on it instead of using a dremel and chopping off all the military gear other versions of the figure are molded with.

i used a molding compound called Apoxy to add more hair and his jacket and high-top sneakers. and to make the pocket knife and duck tape props

for painting i decided to go with dark sandy brown/blonde hair. i "prefer" the earlier season looks of macgyver before season 5 when he went full blonde mullet.

That's pretty good.

You might have been better going with black boots so they look like the army type boots he wears in later seasons, but I'm guessing you were going for the mid seasons look of jeans and white high-tops?



General Hammond would be the obvious choice to turn into a Pete figure.

I definitely agree with KiwiTek about using the General Hammond figure as the model for Pete. The Hammond figure comes with the dress blues on which would probably be relatively easy to make into a suit that Pete wore. You could maybe try for the look and color of the cashmere jacket that Pete's son gives him in "Fraternity of Thieves" (S.4 E.10)

actually i didn't know about a general hammond figure. i saw the link but ill have to look more into it because i've never seen it on ebay.

and no i haven't done any more macgyver figures yet but i have considered using a terminator figure as a foundation for murdoc.

I agree, that would be cool. What type of look were you thinking about giving Murdoc?

i haven't decided yet, keeping the police outfit would fit his personality of master of disguise. but i do like the flame thrower look from the episode mike dies in season 3 i believe on the mountain.

but if i don't want to do the scaring on his face i can keep the head mostly the way it is and go with a black leather jacket and jeans outfit like in the episode unfinished business in season 6.


and still looking for a figure for pete. the general hammond figure and all of wave 5 of stargate was cancelled years ago.
