..Aaaaaaaand on that note...

Murdoc's Top Ten Favorite Accessories for Disguising Himself as a Woman:

10. High heels. Because seriously, why would you wear them if you didn't have to? Adds that touch of realism. (Also, they can be a bit empowering if used properly.)
9. Lipstick. The right shade makes all the difference. (Or so I'm told.)
8. Clip-on earrings. Much more convenient than piercings.
7. Brassiere. Padded, naturally, to help with that girlish figure---but also, again, why would you wear them if you didn't have to?
6. Scarf. Perfect accessory for any look.
5. Purse. Gotta have someplace to hold the weapon when you don't have pockets!
4. Ankle holster.
3. Thigh holster. Goes especially well with a slitted dress or skirt.
2. Bra holster.
1. Jewelry! Who says ladies can't wear skull rings, too? wink.gif

When you put it like that, sounds like us women have more of what it takes to be a professional assassin! Honestly, Murdoc pulls it off well, which, in a way, is kinda creepy hmm.bmp

In my opinion, women in general make better professional assassins than guys. Women have a lot of advantages over men in a lot of ways. Women tend to be much more manipulative and better at deception because most women have a natural advantage in communication. Women also tend to be smaller, faster, and more agile (not me, but athletic women!). Also, women who kill people usually choose to do so using more "passive" means, such as poisons, instead of using brute force (I.e., stabbing, shooting, strangling, etc.), and in some cases that can make female killers harder to catch and convict. It's true that men tend to be stronger and have a more muscular build than women---we have a muscle-to-fat ratio of about 4:5, whereas theirs is about 1:3---but there are a lot of women who are much stronger than the average man due to exercise and martial arts training (like Chyna, Nia Jax, Bayley, Candace LeRae, and Nikki Bella wink.gif ).

And I hate to bring up the stereotype of the seductress femme fatale, but just due to the world being the way it is, women are usually much better equipped to use society's preconceived notions against it. Generally speaking, women are viewed as being much more non-threatening than men, even in the modern world, so women can get into a lot of places and get by with a lot of things that men can't. For instance: when I was in high school, I had a male friend who was at least six feet tall and very, very large. I'm very short and you can pretty much tell by looking at me that I'm a space cadet. Well, our drama club held rehearsals at a local mall, so in between scenes we'd pass the time by wandering around and looking at all the shops. Whenever we went into a store together, people would get a little tense around him and give him looks, but nobody ever gave a second glance at me. Why? Because people are subconsciously preconditioned to view men as threatening, especially big ones. Women make better assassins because they're not viewed with that same lens, which gives them the psychological advantage.

And honestly, even if women didn't make good assassins, it'd still make sense for Murdoc to pose as one. Because if Pete recognized his face, then obviously the DXS and other law enforcement agencies have a pretty good description of him. So, if the police are told to keep an eye out for a 5'8" scrawny Caucasian male with a rock star haircut, they aren't going to suspect the middle-aged lady in heels or the blonde nurse who just beelined for the hospital. Sarah was an even better disguise than Jacques Leroux, because the female personas are so radically different than the profile. It's definitely creepy that Murdoc is so good at what he does, *especially* with mimicking ladies' voices (!), but that's part of what makes him so dangerous! You just never know where or who he could be!

Eh... I guess that's a little off-topic, so---pretend that I wrote out all of that as the Top Ten Ways that women make better assassins than men, or something. wink.gif biggrin.gif

"I am not mad. I'm just very, very determined." ------Murdoc, 'Cleo Rocks'

"What is the color of night?" ------Oblivion

Highly Illogical. Delightfully Useless. Achtung Y'All.

Okay, this is the Top Tens list I promised. Let's see how this goes.

TOP TWELVE THINGS MURDOC WOULD SAY IN RESPONSE TO THE LEGO/MACGYVER CROSSOVER

12. "So you started in the middle? *scoffs* That's not confusing at all..."
11. (reading the part where he has to sing) "I'm NOT that shy! Oh, well, at least I get to punch people." (starts singing along as he reads).
10. (reading the part where he and Batman fight) "Now we're getting somewhere!"
9. (reading the part where everyone pokes fun at his failures after he brags about himself) "Thank you for reminding me. I almost forgot. dry.gif "
8. (reading about the crazy ride in the spaceship and Jack's head injury) "You ladies are just determined to torture me aren't you?"
7. (reading the part where Penny gives him a Pinkie Pie figure) "HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT SHE'S MY FAVORITE?!"
6. (reading about the super weapon and speakers) "Good idea... *reads about Penny thinking he's talking about hugging MacGyver* Well, THAT'S embarrassing!"
5. (reading the part where Penny sweet-talks him before leaving him and Mac to escape) "You, my darlings, are a couple of hopeless romantics!" (secretly wishes this would happen to him).
4. "Is it weird that I want my own Unikitty now?"
3. (reading the part where Penny tells him that she still believes in him) "I'm not crying... I'm not crying... *sniffles*"
2. (reading the part where he stuffs his face eating tacos) "I hate to admit it, but you actually portrayed me quite accurately, there, Dragondog."
1. "Well, that was a really great ending! nasty.gif Mwhaaa haa HAAA!"

I hope it's okay that I ended up with twelve instead of just ten. I couldn't narrow it down. And I tried to focus on parts written by BOTH Sanguine and I, but I might of strayed more towards my own scenes.

Top Ten Signs You Grew Old(er) While Watching MacGyver

Most true for (female) older millennials and younger GenXers, but there's a lot here for anyone who's young at heart. macsak.gif

10. You just realized you got your first library card before Lucas Till was conceived.
9. You grew up trying to decide if you wanted to be more like Murdoc from The A-Team or Murdoc from MacGyver....Guess which one won! smile.gif MWAHAHAHAHA!....seriously....guess.
8. When you grew up you learned the hard way that you can't fix everything with wire and duct tape like on MacGyver, but you can use that wire and duct tape to make a really awesome prom dress!
7. After learning about the facts of life, you searched endlessly in women's magazines for tips on how to treat a guy to a romantic date, but none of them ever seemed quite as hot as the campfire scene featured in "The Gauntlet". wink.gif
6. Growing up, you watched seemingly endless news reports about countries whose governments strongly resembled the one portrayed in "Honest Abe," so your opinion of government in general was pretty much at a nadir when you formed it.
5. You have a deep affinity for rubber duckies....and don't know why....
4. You still sometimes think you could backpack across the world with nothing but a SAK and a squashed roll of duct tape, and then you hurt your back while putting out the trash and decided to watch MacGyver episodes instead.
3. Growing up in an era of MacGyverisms and recycling awareness, you learned at a young age you could rifle through garbage and build cool things for people....a skill that comes in handy at the holidays. (Lemme see....I have five intact-but-spent incandescent light bulbs, duct tape, ornament hooks and two half-full cans of paint....)
2.You try to console yourself about getting older by reminding yourself that when RDA's daughter was born you were still technically jailbait. (Or at least looked the part in the right clothes from Rave.... or were just young at heart? ) The bad news is that if you went after Lucas Till now, you would look like one of those creepy teachers who dates her students. ...and you know it. sad.gif
1. A few years ago, you would have looked at Lucas Till's youthful success and said, "You're my age." Now, you look at RDA at the beginning of the original series and gasp, "I'm YOUR age!"

Well, I think you nailed it, MacsMinx! Though I can't really say, because Lucas Till is older than me *ducks from flying debris*. tongue.gif

10. Holding his rocket launcher backwards.
9. Getting hit by a train... Named Thomas.
8. Getting crushed by a meteor.
7. Choking to death on Pete's gas after one too many burritos.
6. Getting mistaken for a famous rock-and-roll artist and being trampled by screaming girls.
5. Food poisoning.
4. Getting stuck to a giant strip of fly paper.
3. Getting shot by David Dastmalchian (sorry, couldn't resist).

10, 9, 5 & 2 are my favorites....but the awesome thing is that I could totally see them having fun with something like this in a more comedic, lighthearted episode. smile.gif

Maybe while Murdoc's daydreaming?....

So Murdoc daydreams about choking on Pete's gas? Okay, I'm kidding, but maybe these are his nightmares. hmm.bmp

Maybe his nightmares....or maybe he's just having a bad day (Mac escaped again!) and he's feeling all pessimistic and grumpy and tries to cheer himself up with a list of things that could (in jest, anyway) go wrong, but haven't.

At the very least, I could see him making a clever and dramatically-delivered joke about Pete's gas doing him in....

Or, better yet, maybe most of these are reboot Bozer's fantasies of what could happen to Murdoc, not long after Murdoc showed up at his and Mac's house the first time.tongue.gif

Can you imagine? Poor (rebooted) Murdoc! roller.gif

One thing I've been wondering. If original Murdoc has a snake problem, will rebooted Murdoc have one as well? hmm.bmp After all, both Macs have a problem with heights.
