I picked up the smaller 36mm one from a re-seller in Japan but now it looks like it is available from the US online shop, and I would guess a retailer near you sometime.

OK, here's the resin-cased 36mm one:

And the 40mm in aluminum:

Enjoy!!

Kev

This is awesome!!

They've pretty much fixed all the complaints I've read and heard about this watch over the years and turned it into a watch you can actually wear everyday without worrying about breaking or drowning it.

It's not available on Amazon yet, but I've added it to our store with a link to the timex site.

I wish the yhad made it wind-up though. I really can't stand the loud TICK of most Timexes. tongue.gif

There is still one thing which for me makes it a bit of a pain for everyday use. The nylon straps stay wet for ages and you constantly have little drips of water running down your hand or arm for the next hour after it's gotten wet. Cold wet strap doesn't feel very nice on your arm either. I've also found they wear out a lot faster than other strap types too.

It may be a personal preference, but nylon straps don't work for me.

I picked up one from the forum store and really like it. The glow in the dark hands are easy to read at night, and it weighs next to nothing. thumbsup.gif

My 1989 0 Jewel handwind I got on ebay for $60 ....which believe it or not is considered a pretty good deal

I've seen them go for $100+ lately on ebay. They have become very collectible.

It keeps perfect time.

Also in stainless steel!
http://www.timexwatch.jp/fs/timex/TW2R58300

For the $ though, I'd go with the aluminum or the resin cased one. Trying to find out if the steel one uses a different movement (read not as LOUD) as the current models. smile.gif
