Chapter III. Now we'll learn what effect the horrible videotape has on MacGyver's life and mind. This is the final chapter for now, cuz I'm stuck on chapter IV! I hope you enjoy!

(We fade in with a nightview on the Marina and some dark music in the background then it fades away)
Chapter III
Nightmares
The Beginning of the Journey
Deborah’s Story
The Next Day

Night fell over the Marina. The lights were still on in the houseboat, even if the time was going to midnight. Peter Thornton was still at MacGyver’s place. Just like the night before both men had pizza for dinner and were discussing the matters that struck MacGyver since he came back from his last assignment. Pete saw the videotape and MacGyver explained him everything that happened during the day. Just like MacGyver, Pete was shocked when he saw the video and the pictures. He also heard the message and read the letters.
‘These men are good, MacGyver,’ Pete said serious.
‘No doubt,’ MacGyver said, ‘and Deborah is in on it.’
‘I don’t know why but I kinda feel responsible for this.’
‘What?’ MacGyver said. ‘Pete, I never blamed you for this. You had an assignment for Maria, she took it. It went wrong after her assignment was over, you send Nikki after her because I wasn’t here. They caught her too.’
‘I know, but still…’
‘Pete, it’s not your fault. We’ll get them out of there.’
Pete knew MacGyver well enough that he spoke the truth. They’ve been through a lot together since they met. MacGyver always spoke the truth. He didn’t know how to lie. That was one thing he didn’t know how to do it. Lying. He knows when someone is lying, but he himself just can’t lie. It’s not in his nature.
‘Well, maybe you’re right. You’re always right.’
‘Of course, I’m right. But we’ll do everything by the numbers.’
‘Step by step.’
‘Right.’
‘Right,’ Pete said.
Tiresome, MacGyver rubbed over his face with both hands.
‘You’re tired, Mac?’
‘Yeah. It’s been one hell of a day.’
‘Through a message and a letter being led to a videotape is not to be taken lightly.’
‘I didn’t. Tomorrow we’ll leave with Jack Dalton’s airplane. Did you packed everything yet?’
‘Just some stuff. What do we need, actually? The same like last time we went to Romania.’
‘Exactly. Not much, some clothing and that’s about it.’
‘And guns.’
‘Pete!’
‘I know, I know. You don’t use them. Just wanted to let you know, I’m taking mine along.’
‘That’s up to you to decide.’
‘So where do we meet? At Jack’s place?’
‘I’ll pick you up at your place around nine o’ clock.’
‘Nine o’ clock? That’s fine. You can park your car at Jack’s place the whole time?’
‘I’m taking it with me. Jack’s got a cargo hold in his plane and I think I can use my car there.’
‘Alright, then.’
A silence went through the houseboat. Pete broke that silence by saying…
‘I must be going now, MacGyver.’
‘OK.’
‘If we leave tomorrow morning, we surely need our rest.’
‘True. We’ve got a tough assignment waiting.’
Pete got up out of his seat and MacGyver as well. MacGyver gave Pete’s jacket and led him outside, out of the houseboat.
‘Thanks, MacGyver. Just hang in there,’ Pete said while tapping his friend’s shoulder.
‘I see you tomorrow, Pete.’
Pete went to his car and MacGyver went back inside.
By opening the door Pete got in his car. Troubled he looked at MacGyver’s houseboat. He hated to see his friend in problems like this. MacGyver is strong and has very strong will. Pete sighed and started his car. He drove out of there, towards home and his bed.
MacGyver had sunk in deep thoughts, he was still being haunted by the images of the videotape. Maria and Nikki being beaten to bloody things. He saw the videotape twice by now. The second time it seemed less intense but it was still horrible to see. The videotape was laying down on his personal file. MacGyver turned off all the lights in the houseboat and took his file and the videotape upstairs.
He flicked the lights on in his bedroom and placed the videotape and his personal file on his bed. He took off his shoes, socks and shirt. With the small TV he had on his room and VCR, he decided to take a look at the video one more time. He put the TV on and watched the video again. Same images as before, equally awful.
(Creepy music comes up here after another nightview on the houseboat)
MacGyver was still awake after he shut everything off. It was completely dark now on the houseboat. With only his jeans on, he lay down on his bed. He looked at the clock near his bed. 2:15 am. Not even seven hours left but still plenty of time to get a good night rest. MacGyver rolled over on his other side, in hope he could catch some sleep. The video kept haunting him and the only thing he had on his mind was Maria. Again he rolled over, now on his back. A nightly shower went over California. He looked through his roof window at the crescent moon that was about to be fully covered by a dark cloud. The rain clattered on his roof window. He listened to it. It relaxed him a little. His eye lids was getting heavy, slowly he closed his eyes and fell asleep. His eye lids were moving fast from left to right. He was dreaming. (The music changes into the Bad Dreams track from Aliens) Not a dream about the Old West though. The video kept going through his mind. He saw those images in front of him while he kept going from one side to other in his sleep. Maria got beaten and kicked. It was as if she was begging for mercy and for MacGyver to get her out of there. The needle was stabbed in her throat and then she got choked. Kneed in the face. Suddenly a white flash. Nikki Carpenter got beaten too and whacked around. He saw them both, bleeding, unconscious. Then he saw a third individual. Deborah!
‘This is all your fault, MacGyver. Your doing. Your doing. Now finish the job.’
A pair of hands were seen, pulling the unconscious bodies of the two woman out of their chains. They were brought to the middle of the room. A can of gas was given to the pair of hands. It was emptied on the bodies. A match got lit up and was thrown on the gas. A fire emerged and burned the unconscious bodies. Deborah looked at the person who emptied the gas and lit up the fire.
‘Well done, MacGyver. Well done!’ she said, turned around and disappeared.
MacGyver looked brainwashed at the burning bodies.

‘Aaaaah!!!’ MacGyver jumped up from his sleep. (The music becomes psychotic and comes to a sudden stop)
He was sweating and breathing real hard.
‘I killed her! I…, I killed them!!’ he said delirious.
Trying to regain his senses, he got up and went to the bathroom. He flicked the light on and went to his sink. He turns the faucet open with cold water. Filling his hands with ice cold water, he splashed it in his face. Again he did that. The sound of the running water relaxed him a little. (Slow tense music comes up again) He was still trying to regain his senses until he noticed something. Lifting up his both hands. He was shivering but what was worse is there was blood sticking at his hands.
‘What?’
He looked in the mirror. He saw Maria’s bloody face in it. (The music becomes psychotic again) He looked behind him but Maria wasn’t there. He looked at his hands, the blood was gone. (The music stops too) He shook his head while looking in the mirror again. He closed the faucet and went back to his bedroom.
He sat on his bed, thinking. Looking at his right, the time was a quarter to four.
‘Not even four o’ clock yet.’
MacGyver lays down on his bed again, still troubled about the dream. Was it a sign? A premonition? It was still so fresh in his mind.
‘I killed them, in my dream.’ (Slow tense apprehensive music comes up again)
He tried to catch some sleep again but he didn’t manage it. He got a bad feeling since that dream. MacGyver aimed his head suddenly up. (The most becomes more tense) Did he heard something outside? A vague thud or something? He had to check it out. Grabbing his blue shirt while getting up, he put it on, leaving it unbuttoned. He went to edge of his spiral staircase and looked around. The place was dark, he only saw shadows and black shapes of his furniture. Step by step he went down the staircase. Down at the stairs, he looked around again. At the moment he looked at the doors that led to the terrace, he saw a shadow running away. (The music speeds up) He immediately ran after the shadow but it appeared like it vanished into thin air. MacGyver ran around the houseboat but it was gone. He came back at the terrace, looking in every direction he could. Nothing! (The music slows down again)
The sound of breaking glass!! His attention was drawn to that. Back inside, he saw that the windows of his entrance door was shattered. Carefully he stepped over the glass, not to cut his bare feet. He stepped back outside and looked around. The ground was cold and wet from the rain to his feet. It was still raining softly.
‘Who’s out there?’
No answer. Though he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being watched by someone, and he was being watched. (The music becomes more tense)
From out of a dark vehicle parked near his own Jeep but still out of sight, somebody was watching him with a night goggle. When you look through it everything looks green. MacGyver went back in the houseboat and the person in the car placed the night goggles away. It was Deborah who was watching him. She had a demonic evil look in her dark eyes, and smiled sadistic. ‘You’re all ours, MacGyver. It’s just a matter of time, now.’
(The music reaches it's peak and we fade out. We fade in again with a morning view on the houseboat)
Sunrise. MacGyver was still awake when the sun slowly moved over to his roof window. He didn’t really slept anymore after his dream. He had sunk in deep thoughts. He kept thinking of Maria and Nikki. He looked at the time. It was half past six. He only had a few hours left to get some sleep. With a little forcing he succeeded to get some more sleep, without having bad dreams. Around eight o’ clock, he woke up again. Tired, that he was from the lack of sleep. MacGyver groaned when he got up. He took a shower and got dressed. Same clothes as the day before. The blue long sleeved shirt with the jeans and his black shoes. Out of a drawer, underneath his closet, he took a shoulder bag. After opening his closet, he quickly grabbed some clothes. His white T-shirt, another blue jeans. His khaki pants, red shirt with white dots, dark blue shirt with white dots. Black jeans and jacket with the American flag on. Not forgetting his Nikes. Swiss Army Knife, ductape, matches, all in his pants. He checked everything, he needed to. He placed everything neatly in the shoulder bag, so it wouldn’t be too heavy to carry. Most things of his clothing he took with him just in case. He was ready. He took the bag with him downstairs and prepared some coffee. Taking a black mug with his name on in a red and gold letters with the explosion on the background, he filled it up. He drank his coffee, black, hot and strong. It helped him to wake up but still he looked terrible. Anyway it was time to leave. He went to his door, where now a piece of cart board was attached to the broken window. He had to get it fixed or fix it himself when he comes back from Brazil. The broken glass, he cleaned it up after he got back inside the houseboat earlier. (Music comes up here)
He left the houseboat with his bag and went to his Jeep. He opened the jeep up and placed his bag on the passengers seat next to him. He looked for the last time at his houseboat. How wonderful was that houseboat. He lived there for several years now and was planning to do so more with Maria. Worried he started to car and drove backwards of his parking space. He drove on the road to Pete’s apartment, he was supposed to pick him up there at nine o’ clock.
(Something MacGyver-theme-like is heard here, then the music fades away)
After ten minutes of driving around he arrived at Pete’s place. For someone who is the Chief of Operations with the Phoenix Foundation, Pete didn’t live that big, while he earned good money. But that’s how he wanted it. Why should he live in a big house for himself? Besides, if there’s one thing that he and MacGyver got in common, it’s that they like their privacy. Pete took his last things together and placed them in a sports bag. Then the doorbell rang. Pete went to the intercom.
‘Who is it?’
‘Pete? It’s MacGyver.’
‘You can come right up.’
Pete let MacGyver in and few moments later, MacGyver knocked on the door. Pete opened it.
‘You ready, Pete?’
‘I think so. I’m gonna do a check.’
Pete checked everything out. ‘All set.’
‘Alright, then, let’s go,’ MacGyver said.

MacGyver and Pete left the building and went to the car. During the ride to Jack Dalton’s hangar, not much was said. Until Pete noticed MacGyver’s fatigued face.
‘What’s the matter, MacGyver? You’re so quiet and look so tired,’ Pete said.
‘Nothing,’ MacGyver answered, but he knew that Pete wouldn’t believe him.
‘Yeah, right. Obviously you didn’t get your sleep last night.’
‘Alright, then. You have to right on an explanation.’
‘Go on.’
‘After you left last night, I watched the video again.’
‘What? MacGyver that video is…’
‘Awful, I know.’
‘Then what?’
‘I couldn’t sleep for a wile. In the end I fell asleep, dreaming about the videotape. I was there, so was Deborah and I…,’ MacGyver got stuck in his sentence but still tried to continue. ‘I…, I killed them, Pete.’
‘How?’
‘I saw them getting beaten unconscious as on the videotape. They were pulled to the middle of the room and gas was poured over them, and I take it that you can guess the rest of it.’
‘Getting burned,’ Pete said.
‘That’s right. By my doing.’
‘MacGyver, it was just a dream, you know? Only a dream. Dreams can’t hurt you.’
‘Oh, can’t they? Maybe this wasn’t just a dream. It could’ve been a sign or a premonition. Something we should keep in mind. Perhaps they want me to kill them.’
‘MacGyver, that is something they can never do.’
‘Let us hope so.’
‘MacGyver!’
‘I’m sorry, Pete, but after what happened last night, I got a bad feeling about this.’
‘This isn’t you, MacGyver.’
MacGyver gave Pete a look.
‘Just try to understand, will you? Once we’re there, I think I go out and scout on my own.’
‘No way, MacGyver. I’m with you until the end.’
‘Pete, I don’t want you to get hurt in a crossfire.’
‘And I won’t.’
‘Yes, you will, Pete. I can feel it. Something is going to get terribly wrong and I don’t want you to become a casualty.’
Pete sighed.
‘MacGyver, this is way too dangerous to do on your own.’
‘I like dangerous and I like to work on my own.’
‘Can we discuss later, when we’re there?’
‘Yeah, I’m sorry, Pete.’
‘I’m sorry too, MacGyver. Would you mind telling me what else happened last night?’
‘It’s going to get much weirder, Pete.’
‘What do you mean?’
‘When I woke up from my dream, I went to my bathroom, to freshen up a little. I noticed my hands were shivering and blood was covered over them.’
‘Blood?’
‘Yeah, blood. But I wasn’t bleeding anywhere. Then I saw Maria’s bloody face in the mirror. It was as if she was behind me, but she wasn’t there.’
‘That’s creepy, MacGyver.’
‘That’s what Jack Dalton said too. It is eerie. Even insane.’
MacGyver and Pete shared a look on that final remark. ‘I tried to get to sleep again, but I couldn’t anymore. My feeling told me something wasn’t right at the Marina.’
‘What then?’
‘I went downstairs to check on everything. It all seemed alright. Then I noticed a shadow passing my terrace doors. I went after it but in a flash it was gone. I looked all around the houseboat but nothing. I came back at my terrace and I heard glass shattering. The widows of my front door were broken. I took a look there again but nothing and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched. Maybe I was. I just don’t know by who.’
‘You’ve been through one hell of a night, MacGyver.’
‘And a day.’
‘So what happened after that?’ Pete wanted to know.
‘Nothing. I just tried to get some sleep and I did by forcing myself.’
‘That’s really something, MacGyver.’
‘You betcha,’ MacGyver said while driving into Jack Dalton’s hangar.
Jack Dalton was fixing the last things on his plane, when he saw Mac’s jeep coming in.
‘Mac, Pete!’ he greeted.
‘Morning,’ both men said while they got out.
‘Is everything ready?’ MacGyver asked.
‘Yeah, the plane is filled up with gas. I got my stuff so everything is set for take off.’
‘Good, Jack. You wanna open the cargo hold. I’m taking the Jeep with us.’
‘Alrighty.’
Jack opened the cargo hold from out of the cockpit and MacGyver drove the Jeep in the airplane. Pete got in the airplane too. MacGyver left the cargo hold and went to the cockpit. Jack already took place at his seat of the cockpit. MacGyver took place at the co-pilot seat and Pete sat between the two pilots. Jack pushed to button that closed the cargo hold. Our three heroes were ready for a journey to South America. Jack drove up to the runaway.
‘Are you ready?’ Jack asked. ‘Seatbelts tight?’
‘Yep,’ MacGyver acknowledged.
‘OK, then. Here goes!’
Jack took serious speed and then he pulled the plane into the air.
‘There we go. We’re airborne,’ Jack cheered.
‘Yeah, great going, Jack,’ Pete said a little bored.
‘So what’s the plan, Mac?’ Jack asked.
‘Going to Brazil, save the damsel in distress, getting out of there.’
‘That’s the short plan, I sense, Mac. What a plan! What a team! But I care for more details.’
‘Jack, we’re in something sinister here. I’ve been through something strange yesterday.’
‘Like what? Tell me.’
‘When I came back home yesterday after I was at the hangar, I received a strange message on my answering machine and weird letter in my mailbox. It let me to old industry buildings near the forests. There I founded pictures of Maria and Nikki Carpenter and my own personal file of the Phoenix Foundation. Then I was lured into trap after I noticed my name was written in blood on a wall. I went into the forests with a dark person. I got locked up after getting knocked out cold. I woke in a storage room that was hidden in a cave. There I discovered a horrible videotape. So I escaped, of course and ran in on who captured me. We fought. I won. I wanted to know who captured me and it appeared to be a woman.’
‘A woman?’
‘It was Deborah, Jack.’
‘Deborah,’ Jack said unbelieving, ‘the one we’ve met on Whistler’s Cliff.’
‘Yeah.’
‘But she’s…,’
‘No, Jack, she’s not dead, apparently,’ Pete threw in.
‘So, they’re not Stasi agents as we first thought.’
‘No, Jack,’ MacGyver said. ‘If Deborah is in on it, then the odds are great enough that Murdoc is also involved.’
‘Great two dead peoples are in on this,’ Jack said annoyed. ‘This is another fine mess, you got me in to.’
‘Well the only reason I got you in to this is that you fly for free,’ MacGyver said joking.
‘Yeah? Well think twice, Mac, before I show you my bill,’ Jack spit back.
‘Which I am not going to pay.’
‘And neither will the Foundation,’ Pete said.
Jack grunted.
‘Anyway,’ MacGyver restarted his explanation, ‘last night, I was having terrible nightmares of the place where Maria and Nikki are held captive. I dreamt that I killed them.’
‘How?’
‘By burning them alive.’
‘Alive?’
‘Knocked out cold to be exact.’
‘That’s heavy stuff, Mac,’ Jack said on a serious tone.
‘I know, Jack. Then I woke up,’ MacGyver said continuing his explanation. ‘I went to the bathroom to freshen up and I noticed I was shivering and had blood on my hands. When I looked in the mirror, I saw Maria’s bloody face. In a flash it was gone, just like the blood on my hands. I couldn’t sleep anymore, I decided to check on the houseboat. I found out someone was snooping around but when I tried to follow that someone, he or she was already gone. Then my front door window was shattered. Again nothing outside but I couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. That was about it what I’ve been through last night.’
‘Rough night, eh?’
‘You betcha.’
‘You think that, that dream might mean anything to you?’
‘Well, he’s been saying something about a sign or a premonition,’ Pete said.
‘Meaning?’ Jack wanted to know.
‘Maybe that dream was a warning of some sort,’ MacGyver said.
‘Dreams, letters, messages, videotapes. What are we getting ourselves into, MacGyver?’
‘Deep, deep troubles, if you ask me, Jack. But I’m willing to go in there to save Maria and Nikki and frankly I don’t care whatever it takes to get them out of there.’
‘You mean, you’re going to kill peoples?’
‘If necessary.’ (Surprising dark music comes up here but then turns softer)
On that Pete and Jack shared a concerned look.
‘MacGyver, we’ll get them,’ Pete said, ‘but you killing peoples? No way.’
‘Mac, you wouldn’t hurt a fly. Lighten up a little.’
‘Peoples can change, just like the times change,’ MacGyver said.
‘Don’t you ever change, MacGyver,’ Pete said. ‘Don’t go against everything you stand for.’
MacGyver looked at Pete. Pete was right and MacGyver knew. A clouded mind wasn’t good for the issue.
‘You’re right, Pete. We’ll make a decent plan when we arrive.’
‘Now, I hear you, Mac my boy,’ Jack said. (The music becomes uplifting again)
‘Oh, by the way, Jack. You checked everything on the plane?’
‘Yeah, why?’
‘Knowing you, there’s always something that is wrong with your planes.’
‘I’ve checked out everything, Mac. The plane is just fine and we’re going to land there the way it should be.’
‘Good.’
(Miltary music from The Abyss is heard her)
It was intense hot in the jungle. The first moment you’re out there, sweat will break out. With a green military jeep, Deborah was brought back to the hideout building. She entered the building. She was now wearing the uniform of a major. High heels, dark blue skirt, white blouse, dark blue jacket. Her high heels clacked over the ground she was walking over. Guards were everywhere wandering through the halls. Deborah was going to the control room of the building. Without knocking she went inside. (The music fades away here)
‘So?’ a voice said from out of nowhere. ‘What’s the story?’
‘You don’t need to hide in the dark. Come from out of the corner,’ she said.
‘No thanks. I like it here. Is MacGyver gone bananas already?’
‘I don’t know but we sure left a big impression on him.’
‘Big enough for him to come over and play?’
‘I think so. When he appeared in the industry terrain, I figured that he received the messages and letter we left for him.’
‘What happened there?’
‘What you wanted to happen? He founded the pictures in his personal file and I lured him into that trap.’
‘Too bad he got away.’
‘Did you ever doubted that he would escape?’
‘No. You probably did it well.’
‘And it was the plan that he got away, right?’
‘Not entirely. I… we agreed that we wanted to see his face when he saw the video.’
‘Well, I didn’t give up and harassed him some more at home.’
‘What did you do?’
‘I shattered his front door, then I hid in the car. Through those night goggles, he sure looked troubled. So I’d say we’re getting through to him. His boss was there by the way.’
‘Thornton?’
‘Yeah, if those two are together, then I think they’re coming. I just don’t know when. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow.’
‘Come on, we’re going to take a look at our hostages.’
The person appeared out of the dark.
‘Doctor Zito, I should’ve known,’ Deborah said.
‘My dear child.’
The two left the control room and went to the rooms where Maria Romburg and Nikki Carpenter were held hostage. In the hallways a lot of noise was heard coming out of the room were Nikki Carpenter was held hostage.
‘Let me go! Let me go! No!!’ she screamed.
Two male orderlies were trying to keep her under control. Zito came in the room angry.
‘What is going on, here?’ he yelled.
‘She refused to take her pills,’ one of them said.
‘It has to look convincing, right?’ the other one said.
‘You idiots,’ Deborah said in a sigh while rubbing her face with her hand.
‘What?’ both orderlies said.
‘Take her back and chain her up to the wall.’
‘But…,’
‘Just do it,’ Zito ordered. ‘We don’t got the time nor the feeling to explain it.’
‘Just do what we tell you to,’ Deborah said.
‘Yes, major,’ the orderlies obeyed.
Deborah looked at Dr. Zito.
‘Come on,’ he said.
They went to the room where Maria was captured. Maria was chained up against the wall. Tired, thirsty, weak. She looked up at the peoples that have entered her room.
‘What the hell do you want from me?’ she asked. ‘You’ve been keeping me here for nearly three weeks now. Let me go.’
‘We don’t want anything from you,’ Zito said.
‘We’re just using you to get MacGyver here,’ Deborah said.
‘What makes you think he’ll come after me, if he hasn’t seen the video yet?’
‘He saw it,’ Deborah said. ‘I brought him to the video. He’ll come and then we’ll get him.’
‘He’s done for it,’ Zito taunted Maria. ‘Oh, hell. Why bother to do it so difficult if it can go easy as well?’
‘Well, we can take it on the fun difficult way, too. We all have our fun with MacGyver,’ Deborah said.
‘You’ll never get him,’ Maria spat back.
‘Shut up, ***. Nobody asked you.’
‘He’s way to clever for it.’
Deborah stepped toward Maria and pulled her head backwards by her hair.
‘Look, ***. I saw MacGyver last night and he's already in it way over his head. He’s got no idea what we have in mind for and he’s dragging your boss with him.’
Rough she let Maria go.
‘Why are you doing this?’
‘Purely for revenge,’ Deborah answered.
‘Or you can call it rematch,’ Zito said.
‘MacGyver has caused us a lot of troubles.’
‘Stay out of his way and he won’t cause you trouble,’ Maria said.
Deborah gave Maria a nasty look.
‘You better shut the *bad word removed* up now, ***.’
‘One more question, tramp.’
‘Tramp?’ Deborah fell insulted and smacked Maria for it. ‘Now what?’
‘I heard something about a new henchman. Who is he? Do I know him?’
‘He’s no one and you certainly don’t know him and most definitely you won’t like him.’
‘That’s all I wanted to know.’
Deborah looked at Maria with a frown for a moment.
‘I’m going to enjoy, killing you, Maria. Unfortunately, I’m not getting that chance because it’s not part of the plan. But in case things go awry… I might kill you.’
‘Then what is the plan?’
‘I ain’t going to tell you that. It might spoil the fun.’
Deborah and Dr. Zito left Maria for what she was and they left her room, off to do some work and getting preparations done for when MacGyver could come.
(Music comes up again)
In another part of the building, there seemed to be a room that looked like a gymnasium. There were a few exercising materials and a ring. Soldiers gathered around the ring. The mysterious man that appeared there two nights ago was standing in the ring having some headgear on. We still don’t know who it is because of the headgear. The gymnasium wasn’t lit up very well. The only light that was on was the light above the ring. Between the soldiers two other mysterious figures were standing inconspicuous. (The music becomes more tense)
‘Alright so who’s willing?’ the man with the headgear asked.
The soldiers looked around to a possible volunteer. ‘If no one wants volunteering, I just pick somebody. Willing or not,’ the headgear man said.
The man turned around a couple of times and then stopped.
‘You, soldier,’ he said aiming his finger to a big soldier.
The soldier entered the ring, taking of his cap, weapons and jacket. He was wearing a grey T-shirt with a green army pants and boots. He was well muscular and tall.
‘Put your headgear on,’ the headgear man said.
‘Don’t need to,’ the soldier said. ‘Gloves?’
‘No gloves.’
‘Whatever. Get ready to get your bum kicked.’ (The music becomes more taunting, it's a build of tension and the music goes over to the fightscene from Trail to Doomsday)
The two started to circle around each other. The soldiers around the ring started to whoop and cheer. The two figures in the crowd remained silent.
‘Come on!’ the headgear man said.
The soldier screamed and tried a back spinning kick. The headgear man went backwards so the soldiers foot would miss his aim. ‘Not bad, soldier!’
The soldier growled and tackled the headgear man in the corner. The headgear man pushed him off. They putted their fists up. The headgear man threw a shot to the soldier’s head. Wham! A right fist connected to the soldier’s head. A left one followed. The third one was blocked by the soldier and the soldier rammed his gigantic fist into the headgear man’s chest. The headgear man was send backwards through the ring. With big footsteps the soldier came up to the much smaller man. He grabbed him by his clothes and lifted him of the floor until their faces were in front of each other. Bang! A headbutt right on the chin. He dropped the headgear man on the floor hard. The bang was too hard and perhaps he was willing to give up. The headgear man was bleeding out of his mouth. He got up a little shaky, the soldier came back to him and smacked on the headgear with his both hands. The headgear man collapsed. Painfully, he took off the headgear and tried to regain his breath.
‘What’s the name of this weakling?’ the soldier demanded.
‘My name is unimportant to you,’ the man said spitting out blood. ‘Man, you’re strong!’
Slowly he got up.
‘Do you want some more?’
‘I like having stuff.’
They went to the middle of the ring again and the big soldier swung his leg again to kick the man against his own legs. But the man dodges the kick by jumping up and somersaulting backwards. Everybody whoops on that one. The man managed to throw three shots at the soldiers, with the last one going to the nose. The soldier was shaken and got stuck in a corner but he was not hurt. Two other shots went to the body. The fist of the soldier balled up and with an immensely power it struck the man’s face. The man almost flew through the ring. Like a bull, the soldier came out of the corner, thumping up to the smaller man. The man got up before the soldier reached him and kept him on distance by doing a double front kick. The soldier went a little backwards. The man jumped on the soldier and caught his head betweens his legs. The man leaned backwards to support on his hands and throw the man to the other side. In other words: he did a Frankensteiner. The soldier sold the man a powerful uppercut and a left blow to the side of his ribs and a right hand to the face. The soldier’s arm reached out for the man’s throat, he lifted him off the floor again and choke slammed him. The man was dazed for a moment there.
‘Alright, then. Against better will in, I’ll go below the belt,’ he said and kicked the soldier in his nuts.
‘Whoa!’ the soldier screamed, grabbing his balls and fell to his knees.
A swinging inside kick from his opponent almost tore of the soldier’s head. In a matter of speaking of course. The kick caused a wound above his eye. Another kick against the chest. The soldier rolled over. The man grabbed the soldiers head and banged it against the canvas of the ring.
‘You like that don’t you?’
He banged it again and let the soldier go. The soldier was hurt now. The man stood up, just like as the soldier was going to but then the man elbow dropped him for the final blow.
‘End of the fight! You lose!’
‘Not until the fat lady sings,’ the soldier said getting back up.
The man sighed.
‘Alright, then.’
Swinging another balled up fist to the soldiers head, it caused a broken nose and the man’s unconsciousness. ‘You lose.’ (The music fades away here)
The soldiers around the ring started to applause. A few others entered the ring to help their unconscious friend.
‘Who else wants to?’
Nobody wanted anymore.
‘No one? Ah, bunch of sissies.’
‘No more fights,’ one of the mysterious figures said. ‘We can’t risk it. You’re too valuable.’
‘Alright, everybody, back to your posts!’ the other one ordered.
After everybody left the mysterious figures entered the ring and stood in the middle of it along with the man that fought. One of the figures was a man around the five feet and eight inches, speaking with a British English accent. The other man was taller, black and also very muscular. He was wearing a big sunglasses.
‘You did a nice job, Piedra,’ the English man said.
‘Thanks, Murdoc,’ Piedra said.
‘Sorry, we had to hold you down, but we need you for MacGyver.’
‘He’s the reason, we’re here,’ the black man said.
‘I know. That’s why I’ve joined you,’ Piedra said.
‘We’re going to kill him eventually. MacGyver is very clever but he can’t always escape,’ Murdoc said again.
‘How big are the chances that he can escape? 90 percent?’ Piedra wondered.
‘I tried many things on MacGyver. Hell, I even chased him down with a flamethrower.’
‘I heard that he even survived a coma and his own death.’
‘That’s true but if MacGyver ever dies, I wanna be there when it happens.’
‘So by killing his girlfriend and colleague you hope to break him down?’
‘MacGyver hasn’t many weaknesses but this is one of them,’ the black man said again.
‘Besides killing his girlfriend and co-worker, we still have a lot in mind for our MacGyver,’ Murdoc said.
‘And who gets the honours to kill him?’ Piedra asked.
‘We don’t know that yet. We all wanna kill MacGyver. I guess we have to come up with something where we both can have our satisfaction and joy in the suffering and death of MacGyver. We could let him starve but that’s a little tacky.’
‘That sure is tacky.’
‘So we’re going to make him useless. How? You’ll see then. Where? Here of course and when? Well that depends on when he’s gonna come.’
‘Aren’t we supposed to prepare things then?’
‘Well, we have most of our things ready.’
‘I just would like to see MacGyver’s face when he sees me again,’ Piedra said smiling evilly.
‘He thinks you’re dead right?’ Murdoc asked.
‘Yeah. But the dead always comes back for more.’
‘How’d you die?’ the black guy wanted to know.
‘I was running away from him and I blew a poisoned needle to him. He dodged it. I kicked him and tried to get away again. Only he made me trip over a garden hose and I ended up with my hand on my poisoned needle. I didn’t realise at first but when I noticed it, it was already too late. The poison began to work and the results was that I lost,’ Piedra explained. ‘So what did MacGyver to you that made you hate him so much?’
‘Well, MacGyver happened to be on the wrong place on the wrong time when I met him. But he decided to help Peter Thornton so I decided to kill him as well. MacGyver took out two bazooka’s with a home made cruise control. He was sitting in cab. Then they sort of made me go to a construction site. The building blew up on my. Seven years later, I dropped my dynamite in my truck by accident. I fell of a mountain by cutting my own ropes. I drowned after he electrocuted me. Then I got blown away by a grenade I threw to kill my boss from H.I.T, Homicide International Trust. So I’ve got enough reason to get my hands on MacGyver.’
‘What about you?’ Piedra asked to the black guy.
‘I never died due him. I was supposed to take him out, he took me out instead,’ the black guy explained, remembering his run in with MacGyver.
‘How then?’
‘The details are unimportant. I’ll explain it to you later. All I know is that I want this guy MacGyver dead.’ (Music comes up again)
‘Just like last time was supposed to go?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Alright, I guess we all want him…,’ Murdoc paused for a moment.
‘Dead!’ so the pretty obvious answer came.
(The music reaches it's peak with our last shot on the three man and we fade out here)

Oh, this is great!! All the bad guys (and gals, in Deborah's case!) teaming up against Mac. Looks like you even threw Axminster in there. Pete and Mac have no idea what they're walking into. Hope your writer's block clears up soon.

Thanks. Looks like you've identified our mysterious black bad guy. I hope it clears up soon too but I'm also so busy.

Well, there was only one black villain in the entire show. At least, I don't remember any others. And I hear you about being busy... I'm starting school two weeks from tonight, so I'll have my hands full, too.

This is it's prequel. A sequel would be hard since MacGyver died in the last story.

Mmm... negative. I thought the villain in Black Rhino was a white guy, and the black guy was just one of his henchmen. And as for Brainwashed... I hardly remember that one at all.

I know, I know... it's really sad that I can't remember these kinds of details anymore. sad.gif But I think I still remember enough odd details from enough eps to qualify as a bona fide MacGyver geek. wink.gif
