Here's an idea for all those who like to compare and contrast and such. (As I've stated before, I'm not much of a discriminate person, so I hate to choose between anything. But I'll give a shot perhaps at some of my favorites.)

How about what would be your favorite season of MacGyver- if you chose 24 (the standard amount of episodes for a television season) to comprise a "dream season" from all 139 episodes...- oh hey, throw in the TV-movies if you want and make it a double length episode!

Okay- that was hard for me to do! But those are some of my favorite episodes- (and believe me, there's plenty I wanted to put in that got left out) and also these are some that have a lot of siginificance to the show- and to me personally as well. So anyway, there's my picks for 24 favorites. Which I guess is kind of representative of the whole show. Though you could also go another way and just list episodes together if you have a different preference for airing order. (i.e. I've picked 24 episodes here- but I could still air the 115 in an alternate order for 6 more seasons. - I didn't decide to try list all that many, but if someone wants to- go for it.)
Though I'd do much better on this kind of thing in picking 139 favorites and 2 TV-movies.

I used to do this and let fate decide, but on matter of favourite haven't done it yet. I'll make up a list as soon as possible. But I'm not sure I'd get to 24 episodes, probably more but hey, it's my season huh?

Well, I think 24 was standard in the 1980s anyway...and that is when MacGyver started, so I'll go with that.

(Hey, back in the 50s and 60s, some shows had as many as 30 or more per season! That's back when they had a lot more faith in shows and just let them shoot apparently.)

I'd say 24 is a fair amount with 27 as max and 22 minimum.

Yeah, I know. This is why I generally hate doing such lists. But if you like, you can think of it more as a reordering of the episodes, with the assumption that the ones left off your list would be aired in later seasons.

Many others that I would happily watch anytime--like I love Bitter Harvest, Eye of Osiris, much of season 6--but the end of the season with Pete's glaucoma stole my interest.
