I wrote a new story for the forum. It's called The Hitch hiker. This is a horror/angst story. It's a short story set in the middle of the night and... nope I'm not going to say anything

. A few things, you should know...
1) It's rated R for some laguage, blood and gore.
2) This is a kind of a teaser, if you like it, I'll make it a little longer but not as long as my other unfinished story which desperately needed to be finished ASAP. Perhaps in the next few days.
3) Most of all enjoy and don't drink too much you might wet your pants if you get afraid. Be very afraid moehoehahahaha!
MacGyver – The Hitch HikerMacGyver had just finished another assignment somewhere in Europe/Scandinavia. It was a rescue mission which he managed to do it all alone. He’s been away for ten days and was now thinking of his bed. It was 3 am and he was driving alone in the darkness, having difficulties to stay awake. He rubbed his face with his left hand and sighed trying to stay awake. He was almost home from as soon he got of the freeway, but the freeway was still long and dark. The only thing he could do was to watch the empty road, no car to be seen from either direction. Occasional he saw a lantern pole lighting the road up a little. He turned on his car lights, which he usually never forgets. He felled like Bill Pullman and the Mystery Man in the Lost Highway or like Sam Neill as In The Mouth of Madness. No cars on the road, it was just like he was the only man in the world, driving his car to no real final destination. MacGyver looked up at the sky and saw a full moon in it. He sighed again. How much longer did he have to go on riding like this, the freeway seemed longer then it used to be. MacGyver felled alone, usually he didn’t care, but this time it was different. He didn’t play any music which made it extra quiet, by the way he wasn’t in the mood. The only sound he had was the one from it’s engine. Maybe it was because it was night and he was tired that it looked longer. He had the feeling he was driving for three hours now. He couldn’t take it much longer and decided to stop the car on the freeway. He got out of the car and took a breather. He sat on the hood of his car, breathing in and out for fresh air and looks up to the starry sky. He didn’t say a word, because after all what was there to say? He took a few steps away from his car and looked down from the bridge he was standing on. It was pretty high and since his fear of heights… he decided to look at all the lights from town. It was a beautiful sight, funny actually to see so many lights at this hour of the night. Suddenly all the lights went off in town.
‘What the hell? Must be a electrical power breakdown,’ he said. He looked behind him and saw a lantern pole flickering, going on and off, on and off. He looked back at the town, feeling uncomfortable.
‘I think I better get out of here.’
He said that but he didn’t, in fact he couldn’t as if some strange force was forcing him to stay there. The question was why should there be an electrical shutdown, if there was no lightning storm going on?
‘Maybe there’s a circuit blown.’
You really think so MacGyver?
‘Yep, that must be it.’
If you say so.
MacGyver looked rather worried to the dark city, but why should he be worried? Maybe he’s just imagining things because he was so tired. There was no point of standing there any longer so he decided to go back to the car. He tried to start motor going but it didn’t work.
‘Now what?’
He opened the hood to see but there was nothing wrong, except that motor was a little bit overheated. There was nothing he could do about it except waiting to let it cool down a little. While he was about to fall a sleep something banged real hard on his window that scared the hell out of him.
‘What the hell?’
A man completely dressed in black was banging his window.
‘What? What do you want?’
‘Oh, excuse me there, can you give me a lift?’
‘What?’
‘If you can give me a lift?’
‘Why?’
‘Because I asked you.’
‘I wish I could but I can’t.’
‘Why not?’
‘Because the motor is down.’
‘Try again, I’ll take a look.’
‘You can’t. There’s nothing to do about, the motor is a little overheated. Hop in.’
The man entered MacGyver’s car, he was carrying a black sports bag. The man self had black hair and a black moustache and was in his late twenties.
‘Where are you going?’ MacGyver asked turning on his engine again.
‘Just drive on until you drop off the freeway, bring me then to some motel so I can spend the night there.’
‘Okay.’
MacGyver’s engine started and they drove on.
‘What were you doing of the freeway anyway, walking like that?’
‘I needed a lift to town.’
‘You know, there are different and safer ways to get there.’
‘Yes, I know but in my situation…’
‘What do you mean in your situation? You in trouble or something with the police?’
‘Well sort of.’
‘How come?’
‘I can’t tell you that, because I don’t trust you.’
‘Can’t blame you for it. What do you got in the bag?’
‘Do you always ask so many questions?’
‘Sorry, just trying to make a conversation here.’
‘Well, don’t. I’m too tired for it.’
‘Well so am I. I’ve got the feeling I’ve been driving for hours now, I’ve been away for 10 days and all I want is to go home and get some sleep.’
‘Just drive and don’t ask anymore of your questions, okay.’
‘OK.’
MacGyver had the feeling, he was helping a criminal, the man was acting a bit weird.
‘You know, it just had to happen,’ the man said.
‘What?’
‘I had no choice, she was going crazy.’
‘Who?’
‘My wife, that’s who. She was out of her freaking mind, taking one pill after another swallowing it through with alcohol.’
‘What are you talking about, man?’
‘I had to do it.’
‘Do what?’
‘I had to kill her.’
‘What?!’
MacGyver brutally stopped the car.
‘How? Why?’
‘She was completely out of it. I took a double barrelled gun and shot her right in the mouth. Her head exploded like in thousand of pieces, brains laying all over the floor, walls painted with her blood.’
‘Okay, now that’s it, get the hell out of my car. Get out! I said get out. No! In fact I should take you to the police but for once I don’t care, it’s too late, I’m too tired to take you there so get the hell out of my car.’
The man just sat there. MacGyver got out, opened the door and pulled the man out of the car.
‘Get out!’
The man got up.
‘You’re a sick man, dude,’ the man said and ran away laughing.
‘Hey, you forgot your bag.’
Suddenly the man was gone and MacGyver was yelling in the night. He took a flashlight from the trunk and went looking for the man.
‘Hey!’
His flashlight shone like a spotlight and could enlighten about 200 yards far, but it was just like the man disappeared into thin air.
He went back to his car and looked at the bag, maybe there was some stuff in it that could help him out of it. He opened it and threw up in his car of what he saw, the man was carrying.
‘Oh my god!’
The man was carrying a bag with four severed heads in. MacGyver continued to threw up on the street. When he was finished he let his head resting against a lantern pole. He rubbed his mouth and took a breather. He went back to his car to look at the heads, it wasn’t the first thing he saw what was severed. He once saw a dying a rhinoceros in Africa where the horns were sawn of with a chainsaw. MacGyver wasn’t sure of this was done with a chainsaw or with an axe, anyway he didn’t want to find out. He counted four heads. He took the bag outside and putted it on the hood. He took all the heads out of it and placed them one by one on the hood. Something wasn’t right about these heads. He looked at them like paintings. The first one belonged to Jack Dalton, the second one was from Penny Parker, the third one belonged to Peter Thornton and the fourth one was from Sam Malloy his son. MacGyver was shocked.
‘Holy poo! Oh my god! No!’
He turned around in disgust and counted to ten in the hope that the heads will be gone.
‘One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten! Please be gone!’
MacGyver turned around again, but the heads were still there.
‘Jesus Christ.’
Suddenly he got this creepy feeling, that the bag wasn’t empty. What if there was another head in it, one he mist?
His fear came true, there was head in it and also with that one something was wrong. He took the head out of it and placed it also on the hood, but this was his own head.
‘What the hell is going on here?’
The heads eyes opened all at once startling MacGyver and spoke one by one.
‘You…’
‘are…’
‘going…’
‘to…’
‘DIE!’ MacGyver’s head said, to finish the sentence.
Then they all started to laugh, MacGyver couldn’t take it anymore and ran away, screaming.
‘NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!’
Then MacGyver all of a sudden woke up screaming too.
‘NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!’
He stopped screaming and realised he was all wet from sweating. He was drenched. A lightning storm was going on above his head, hard rain, sound of thunder and flashing lightning. The lightning lit up his houseboat bedroom making him to see he’s own reflection in the mirror scaring the hell out of him too. He just sat there, trying to relax. When he thought the worst thing was over he laid back on his back trying to fall a sleep again, but it wasn’t over. He just looked through his roof window watching the lightning, like he used to when he was a kid. Suddenly the window broke and shattered, the man, he picked up in his dreams, fell in his house, taking a big sharp piece of glass and shoved in between his ribs. MacGyver fell a sharp dispensing pain going through his body. He tried to scream but couldn’t because the man took another piece of glass and stuck in his throat cutting his throat, blood gushed out of his mouth.
‘That’ll teach you,’ the man said sinister and let MacGyver die there alone, in a big puddle of blood.
‘WAAAH!’ MacGyver woke up again from his real nightmare this time. He was also drenched like in the nightmare and there was also a lightning storm going on above his head. He slapped himself to see if he really was awake this time. He was, now he was just touching his face which was full of sweat. He saw his own reflection again in the mirror that was standing at the back wall of the room when the lightning lit up the dark room. He was safe and sound now, trying to fall asleep again in his houseboat. He lays back and looked through the roof window at the lightning, he was hoping that it wouldn’t brake nor that somebody would fall in his house again. It didn’t, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that he’s being watched. When he was about the fall a sleep something passed the window, MacGyver looked up but didn’t find to strength nor the will to find out what it was. When he finally went back the sleep the man from his dreams was standing on his roof looking at him through the window.
‘I’m coming to get you one day, MacGyver!’ he said.
He turned around and jumped of the roof, disappearing into the night. The night still lasted long, for at least four hours, the lightning and thunder would keep their hunt through the heavens, but I doubt of the sound could ever catch the light. The lightning struck something in the far distant horizon causing the electricity falling out all over town, just like in his dream. The man went back to his hiding place wherever it was using the lightning as light to find his way back in the darkness, thinking how he was able to catch and/or even kill MacGyver, because that’s what he must do, kill, and why? No reason, he didn’t work for some secret company, or for someone that assigned him to it. He is just what he is and he’s a killer causing bloody massacres, like the ones in Texas in the early seventies. Is this man even human? Nobody knows and nobody knows where he comes from. Anyway the man went back to his hiding place, when meanwhile MacGyver dreamed about a new nightmare to would cause him to have insomnia if he ever wakes up again from this nightmare. Another nightmare to find out that all his friends are killed and their heads severed with a chainsaw or a bloody gory axe.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.
