Cynthia and her late husband, Booker, have known MacGyver since
the late 70’s when he started working full time at the Challengers Club after leaving
collage.
Since her husband was killed, she has
continued running the organization on her own. In spite of some trying times Cynthia has
kept the Challengers Club running and continuing to be a positive influence for troubled
youth in the community.
In 1990 Cynthia brought an ex U.S.
Marine, R.J. Hines, onboard to
help run a new program at the club, a year later she apparently handed over day to day
running of the center to Hines.
