With the original pilot being scrapped I am wondering if CBS will release a new pilot at comic con to show case the new show?

They begin filming in 3 weeks time, so I reckon the earliest we will see a promo for the pilot is late August.

I also think based on the bad press with the First look promo (which now has been removed), they may be reluctant to go down this path again.

Sir RDoyletv, San Diego Comicon will be on dates July 21-24, with July 20 as a preview night. Dunno what that means but, yeah July 20 is preview night. Hope this helps Would they be able to whip up a full pilot episode by the first or second week of July for the clips to make a trailer, tho?

I'm wondering, though, if they'll want to. On one hand, as RDoyletv pointed out, the reaction to the first trailer wasn't great, so they may be hesitant. On the other hand, that may be all the more reason for them to want to show the world that they've come up with something better. I'm leaning more in that direction. I think CBS knows they didn't make a great first impression, and now they'll want to say, "Hey, look! We fixed it! THIS is the show you'll actually be getting!" Because if they DON'T show a new trailer, people will naturally assume the original trailer represents the show, and I think that's the last thing CBS wants people to think.

I've been wondering about that, because I've seen several comments on Twitter indicating that they are showing some MacGyver promo on TV in the US... so they're still using the trailer for promo right now.
