My absolute favorite holiday is HALLOWEEN, so of course one of my favorite episodes of MacGyver was "Halloween Knights" from season 5 [episode 6] where Mac & Murdoc join forces Thought I would share some of my obsession with all of you. To begin with, I re-make Playmobil Victorian Mansions into Witch's Cottages and Haunted Houses... I recently sold one of the cottages over on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281806640446?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2649 Here are some of our home decorations... even I have to admit... I go a bit over the top... The Witch's spell table in B&W Many of the items on this table are actual props from the TV series Witches of East End that I purchased in auctions when the series was canceled. Spell bowls, tarot cards, spell ingredients, be-headed & bloodied doves, etc The Witch at her spell table...maybe been there a bit too long I'd say... Three dead mice taking an unholy interest in "the twins" Pumpkins trying to escape carving... at the bar... at the kitchen counter... These mice look like they've been around as long as our 1940 Zenith radio Our trusty Vampire Killing Kit [tray lifts out to reveal extra candles, wooden stakes, flintlock pistol, silver bullets, etc,] There's lots more but I fear I've already taken up enough bandwidth |

OKay the Halloween Decs are secondary when it comes to tube radios and so, I'll buy the old Zenith Tube Radio off you - check's in the mail! Kidding (sort of), you have a real talent in the spooky art depo, Mac2Nite .. very nice! I do all mine decs out of doors ...... (post a pic in a few minutes) .... done ... in the front yard, along the sidewalk, mostly for the neighborhood kids ..... and kids at heart |

VERY cool & spooky... love all the colors!! We do some decorating outside... problem is... we live out in the country and get NO trick r Treaters So I do most of the decorating inside... for us... and the grandkids...teehee... Now as for the Zenith. My parents bought her on Aug 31, 1940, the day after they married... it was the first piece of furniture they purchased as husband & wife Radio still works... short wave too...we even have extra tubes for her... but my oldest nephew John has claimed dibs when I die... so I'm afraid she's already spoken for Lamp Guy at end of driveway He Who Walks Among The Rows delivery guys HATE this one... A few more indoor ones: Boiling fetal bones on the kitchen witch's table too much? [the other witch's table is in the living room] Bats out of the blinds The Witch, her pups & kitty...looks like they've got a bone to pick with her...she forgot to feed them |

Mac2Nite, you're out of control! In a good way! Very creative, well done. And wedding gift, family heirloom or not, you'd better chain that radio down ,,,, because it's on my radar now. (kidding). I have five of my own .... they are so cool with their bells, whistles and lights ... more like a spaceship landing in your living room rather than a radio as we know it today. Here's my latest, need to replace the resistors/capacitors and fix up the veneer a bit, but it should be good to go soon .. (it's a 'Lyric' made by Mohawk Radio Ltd Toronto circa: 1928) http://s1036.photobucket.com/user/Naturepaparazzi/media/lyric_2206_zpscbc48f09.jpg.html |

I wasn't kidding when I said it's more of an obsession LOL about my Zenith.... Just try getting it away from me...or my nephew when I'm gone She's been in our family for 75 yrs... and counting... Your Lyric will be gorgeous after you tweek her !!! Love the cabinetry... That's back when radios were furniture all to themselves... Miss those days sometimes...but other times I love the sleek look of our drop down 100" movie screen... And our white entertainment cabinet that hides everything from view... Including our blu ray arsenal |

awesome I love the jump suit guy leaning against the pole. What is he made out of? I have always loved Halloween and anything scary and can appreciate the level of detail of your creations. |

Thanks so much....purchased an orange jumpsuit at the local goodwill...filled it with bubble wrap...ran a pvc pipe through the neck and down one leg...jammed a styrofoam head onto the pipe...jammed the other end (the part extending out of the leg) into the ground. Placed a scarecrow mask over the styrofoam head.. and viola...creepy guy...wrapped the arm around the lamp post for extra support..and safety pinned the other cuff into a pocket...Makes him look kinda casual I think |
