Personally I lean more towards the backside Phillips (ex: Tinker) since I find it easier to use due to its T shaped mechanism as regards torque. Also, the tip is different than the inline one, somehow I like it more.

What do you think? Appreciate your opinions on this.

Thanks

Yeah I like the backside phillips as well.

It seems to fit better and you can't beat the T shape for both torque and pressure on warn screw heads.

I prefer the grip and size of the backside Philips, but like the inline better if only because I can use an extension on it to reach hard to get to screws. I like having the corkscrew to undo knots too.

Thanks for your replies guys.

The backside Phillips of my Tinker EDC never failed me in every situation I required it. thumbsup.gif

To be honest, I prefer it more than a corkscrew since it is more useful for everyday needs... and I also find the knife to have a smoother grip thanks to it. wink.gif

I use the awl for undoing tight knots. Seems to work just as well and lets me have the screwdriver in place of the corkscrew.

Yep, the awl (reamer) works for me as well when it comes to undoing knots.

I prefer the screwdriver on the back personally.

I know some models come with smaller tools which wind into the corkscrew, but I've often wondered why so many models (and even other knives) all have a corkscrew instead of more useful tools.
