It's a pilot and hopefully it gets picked up.

As real_ness mentioned, it's just a pilot. We don't know if it will get picked to series and if yes, when they would film the rest of the season.

If he booked it before knowing about the cancellation, he might only appear in the pilot or be a recurring character in a handful of episodes. Heck, he might get killed off in the first 5 minutes.

After Reign Edwards (Leanna) went to New Zealand to film "The Wilds", it took over a year for them to go back to NZ to film Season 1; despite the show being picked up before they even finished the pilot.

He filmed an entire movie during hiatus between S3 and S4; why not film a few episodes? He's too talented to sit at home and look pretty; waiting on CBS to correct their mistake tongue.gif

Judging from IMDB, Henry Cusik has several projects in the works.

There's one TV series in the works with David Straiton and Monica Macer, who were producers/showrunners on Season 5. So that one could be interesting.

Still stuck in pre-production though, so not clear if that one will get going any time soon.

ICYMI: Sadly, FX has passed on "The Spook who sat by the Door", the pilot for a series that Lucas Till has filmed in Baltimore back in May. October last year, executive producer Leigh Dana Jackson (who had written the pilot script) tweeted about being (understandably) disappointed.

Official news didn't come until February, though: https://deadline.com/2022/02/the-spook-who-sat-by-the-door-lee-daniels-spy-drama-redeveloped-fx-1234956930/#comments

FX Boss John Landgraf said to Variety that "The Spook who sat by the Door" is not moving forward and being redeveloped. According to Deadline, they’re looking for a new writer to pen another pilot. They still haven't announced a new writer, yet, so there’s a good chance that the project stays in “developmental hell” for quite a while. With Leigh Dana Jackson out as writer and showrunner, the cast and crew of the current pilot might not be part of the project anymore once it finds its way forward.
