Richard Dean Anderson will once again return to New Zealand next month but unlike last year which saw him only attend the Auckland Armageddon expo, this year he will also be attending the Christchurch expo and as an extra bonus he's bringing his StarGate SG:1 co-stars, Michael Shanks and Corin Nemic, along with him to both events.

Both events will feature a StarGate SG:1 panel with all 3 StarGate actors at noon on Saturday and then a MacGyver and StarGate SG:1 panel with Richard only on the Sunday also at noon.

As well as the stage shows Richard, Michael and Corin will all be doing photos and autograph signing sessions on Saturday and Sunday at both events.

Just saw this on the Legends web site...

Richard's appearances are limited in 2016 and this will be his only visit to the Southern Hemisphere this year.
He is also scheduled to headline the Homecoming Sea Shepherd fundraiser in Vancouver in September and at this time, that will be his only appearance in North America in 2016.

I wonder if that's to do with his back still playing up?

I kinda wondered that myself. Usually he's booked for more than that by now. He did update fans over at RDAnderson.com a few days ago that seems to confirm that his back is still giving him trouble. Source

Responding to the caring curious...

I would say... Yes!! I believe I have received every "Wellwish" and Loving Acknowledgment/Celebration of my continuing passage of time. I've lost much/many of my cynical edges, and find it easier to accept honestly, the wonderfully intentioned cards, letters, parcels and presents that you forwarded on to me.

(For the sake of Everyone's Heart, I'm finding that I need EVERYONE to know and believe, that I have received every "communiqué" sent in my direction... and, I've read them!! ......all. Thank you, ALL!!)

Am I feeling... Better???!! I don't think it is yet time to commit to an answer, here. In part, as you know, I am likely to continue to dart in and out of my cave, or out from beneath my rock... For an honest answer I CAN say that it would have been extremely difficult to feel any worse than I did at the onset of the most recent of "Events"!! I can say that. So, better?...... Sure?

As of yet (it's a BIT late, don't ya know) I have gotten no invitation to be a part of anything MacGyver-istic. BTW, I am not hurt by this. I'm fine with it, for a number of reasons...

Richard is looking quite well in the photos that have emerged so far. Hopefully his back isn't too bad after the long flight and he's enjoying himself!
