Thought I'd start a new thread based on TV shows you have seen which you are currently watching / seen years ago.

We just started watching Seinfeld again for like the 3rd or 4th time! It's a classic sitcom which is incredibly funny and has the perfect cast. If you were temporarily in another galaxy during its run on TV, don't even hesitate to pick it up and watch it. It's a 5 star entertainment package! thumbsup.gif

Not really following anything right now. The last show I saw from beginning to end was Ally McBeal.

Afterwards an old Belgian sitcom called 'Familie Backeljau'. It's nowhere else known except here but it resembles a sort of Married With Children about a low class family. The father is a lazy, agressive man much like Al Bundy who works in construction, drinks and hits his son a lot. His son is gay but doesn't know it yet. His daughter is the typical blonde girl with as much brains as Kelly Bundy and works as cop. Than there is also the mother, a chubby redhead dressed like Peggy Bundy would, who is pretty much the most normal family member. Than there is also the grandmother (played by the same actor as the father) who lives quite dangerously for her age with all sorts of hobbies she does with her dog. Her dog is also her scapegoat blaming him for everything she does wrong. Than there also the son's girlfriend who has six brothers looking like Hell's Angels and the Italian boyfriend of the daughter who might or might not have connections with the mob. There's also the neighbor who was one of the most popular characters of the show. Complaining and calling the cops for everything the family does. He himself is an annoying man wearing silly glasses with a band aid on and hearing aid. It was popular when it aired in the 90's and there has been many reruns through the years. It even got a rerelease on dvd about a month ago.

Seinfeld is on my list if I ever get around to buy it.

Right now I'm picking up an episode every now and than from Two and a Half Men when it's aired. I think it's one of the best sitcoms I've ever seen.

What my tv collection is concerned I take pride in MacGyver, Magnum PI, Xena Warrior Princess, Might Morphin Power Rangers, Band of the Brothers and The Pacific.

Out of those shows on the picture I've seen: Californication season 1&2. Dexter season 1. Entourage, almost completely. Rome, almost completely. The Shield completely. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles completely. Futurama (a long time ago) nearly completely. The Simpsons, most episodes. 24, completely. Curb Your Enthusiasm, almost completely. Arrested Development, season 1-3. Lost, completely. Deadwood, completely. Prison Break, almost completely.

One I have fully seen on YouTube was Boy Meets World, all seven seasons. It's one of my favorite shows. I was always partial to Saved By The Bell as a kid but after seeing those episodes again I know, Boy Meets World is far more superior despite there very silly and cheesy opening credits in the first season. And they have a worthy sequel with Girl Meets World. Though I'm a little bothered by the terrible acting of 6 year olds. The new generation is doing better: Riley, Maya, Farkle, Lucas. They have just entered the third season and seem to be going for the long run. Some episodes contain good lessons. Things I wish I knew or understood when I was their age. Because there were a lot things I never saw coming or understood in matters that things were changing. Anyway it's a good show and so is Girl Meets World. I think this is the first television show who managed to become a worthy sequel to it's original and a lot of it's people are involved: Executive producers and creators Michael Jacobs and April Kelly. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel who became producers themselves and are even directing episodes every now and than and also Rider Strong who makes an occasional guest appearance and directed several episodes himself. Maybe it's all a bit more polished because it's from Disney now instead of ABC but it's definitely worth a watch.

Never got around to watching Boy Meets World but it was quite successful if i recall.

Rocket, I am eager to watch Librarians but just don't get the chance. Burn Notice too!

MacGyver1985, Game of Thrones season 6 was superb. I recently decided to put my distaste for the show behind me and caught up. Nice to see the good guys finally winning. There are regrettably only 2 seasons left according to the developers. Season was going to be launched around the same time as this season being around April 2017 however some delays have pushed its release date to a possible May / June date. Also only 7 episodes are expected to be produced. Its slowly drawing to an end.

We got around to watching the pilot episode of Netflix's Stranger Things on Friday and it was very good! A mix of X-Files with a dash of 80's Spielberg made for a rather impressively well produced show. Can't wait to see episode 2.

You should give it a chance. It's one of those shows who dared to go where others usually backed off. Girl Meets World is continuing that.

I will try to find it sometime and give it a go. Thanks, MacGyverGod! thumbsup.gif

We finally got around to watching the pilot of 11.22.63 last night and it was incredible! Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name and produced by JJ. Abrams, 11.22.63 tells the story of Jake Epping, an English teacher who inadvertently stumbles across a time portal which sends him hurtling back to 1960 on a quest to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Production, plot, dialogue and stars all work together to recreate a lost time which looks more lavish than Back to the Future ever did!

5 stars from me!

Game of Thrones is one of those shows that I love to hate, or hate to love... I'm not sure which. lol My sister hasn't finished the 6th season yet, so I've been watching it with her. I already know what happens, but still... it's fun to watch again. Brienne of Tarth has to be my favorite character... lol

I also follow Supernatural (obviously) and American Horror Story. I was watching Containment there for a while, but I believe it was canceled. I did check out the remake of Voltron on Netflix, which isn't bad if you like Anime.

Brienne! Taller than most men. I think she's about six foot three inches for a woman and in reality more attractive than in the show. I'd go for the Mother of Dragons.

My sister is also for Daenerys. lol She cheered at the end of Book of the Stranger.

I do love Tyrion Lannister as well. Also, I love how social media has eaten up Brienne and Tormund. XD I so feel Brienne in this show. lol That and the memes are hilarious. XD

GOT is a difficult show to watch, granted. Mostly due to the fact that the good guys don't always win. However for what its worth, Season 6 is quite possibly the most rewarding season as the tables turn for most of the bad characters.

Last night i finally got around to watching the pilot episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion (Japanese Anime Classic to those who are not familiar with it) and it was quite good. Quite scary just how many movies have ripped off its ideas such as Pacific Rim. But it is a fun show to watch if you like your anime.

For all you fans of MacGyverisms and quick fixes to everyday problems, Hack My Life is an awesome show to watch!
user posted image

TV personality Kevin Pereira and comic Brooke Van Poppelen explore the world of "life hacks": procedures or actions that solve problems, simplify tasks or reduce frustrations. From opening a wine bottle with a shoe, eliminating pet hair on fabric with a squeegee and flip-flop, or using a sock to make a toilet seat more comfortable, the successful hacks are designed to be fun, inexpensive time-savers. Those that don't live up to the hype are exposed, and undercover hacks challenge members of the public to overcome pitfalls.

2 Thumbs up!

Started watching Stranger Things on Netflix. It's so good! Not only is it set in the early 80's, but the style of the show is VERY 80's and in a good way, even the intro. So far, I've only watched three episodes, but there's tons of throwbacks to the 80's.

I miss Trapper Keepers... lol And there's even a scene with use of a Swiss Army Knife... well, to open beer cans, but it was in there! lol

Yup. Watching Stranger Things too. Also only seen 3 episodes so far but its getting interesting.

Everything about it is so 80's. Even the John Carpenter music. biggrin.gif

Right now, I'm watching Entourage. Just needed a little something to laugh at. Though not the first time I'm watching it, even if I haven't seen the last two seasons yet.

I used to watch the Simpsons religiously back in the day although with there being so many seasons, eventually got off it.

Lately i have been watching again from season 2. Have to admit, i love the old episodes. Burns could never quite remember Homer's name. biggrin.gif

Yeah, same here. I got into it and than out of it after years and years of reruns. It's still being aired here. I have the first season and a Halloween dvd but I never bought the other seasons because I figured I could always catch it on tv.

In the meantime I found a series called Hemlock Grove. Eli Roth's new horror series. It seems quite brutal.

I have recently starting watching the old Next Generation from the beginning. When TNG originally aired i was pretty much glued to my seat but soon lost interest due to the extent of time it took for each season to come into this country.

Some episodes were a little silly too so i stopped watching altogether. But i always regretted it because i read up about some awesome episodes including the alternate universe ones as well as the holodeck gangster episodes that sounded fun.

It's a no brainer that it belongs here with the ranks of great and classic shows and most of you have no doubt seen it. If i get through this, i will probably start with Deep Space Nine and move onto Voyager. Now, Voyager was a show i saw from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed. Its classic Star Trek at its best and TV, i fear, will never be the same.

Not The Nine O'Clock News is one of my favourite comedy shows. The actors were Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones and Pamela Stephenson.

Alas Smith and Jones was also similar to that, which I like too thumbup.gif

We used to watch that one when I was a kid and I have it back on the list and also another one but can't remember if it Voyager or Deep Space Nine.

I'm almost finished watching season 1 of Next Generation and i love it! Last night i saw the final episode to 11.22.63 and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you enjoyed watching Back to the Future, i recommend this show. Although quite different, it bears similar traits to the classic movie trilogy which you will appreciate. Also only have 1 more episode of Stranger Things to watch and that is another highly recommended one for those who have yet to see it!
