I always look at something like this and ask myself, how can this be improved? If you mounted the plunger on some sort of crankshaft assembly it would reduce a lot of the effort, but that's just too darn complicated. Other than that I would make two complete sets, one for washing, the other for rinsing. This one really is the soul of simplicity.
