These are my MacGyver jackets. The left one is the Chevignon and the right one is Avirex.






Then some thoughts. Chevignon looks much cooler on and in general it is tighter but heavier and more uncomfortable to wear. Avirex is also softer and likely made from goat hide. I tend to wear the Avirex more often because it is more comfortable but when I go to special occasions, I prefer to choose the Chevignon since it looks more sharp

There was never a definitive answer on what the Macgyver jacket was in the later seasons but I never ruled out Avirex. Both of yours look nice!

My understanding is that the consensus seems to be that the later jacket was Avirex, especially when considering their role in the industry. But as you said, there is not a definitive answer yet.
