| Oooh! I've been waiting for this one!! Poor Mac, having to "die" twice! You did a great job with Jack and it makes sense that he would ID him because he's simply Mac's best friend and no one would have reason to doubt him. Not like if Nikki or someone from Phoenix identified him. LOL...the coroner calls him "Angus"! Once Murdoc enters the story you do such a great job with both characters. Mac keeps falling for the voice trick...duh! Mac's off-the-cuff plan with his "Kill Me Now" sign is great! Take away the one thing Murdoc wants most! But, of course, I don't want Mac to die!!! Only Murdoc would think of killing someone by guillotine!! Awe...Mac saves the bunny!!! Part of me wishes, and almost thinks, that Murdoc has a sensitive side that would feel the same, but it does tug at the readers' heartstrings! LOVE the line "Gurgled your last gurgle." Quite accurate and somehow really amusing to me! Wow, that's some spider web! Awesome!! And as a Mac fan I feel bad writing this, but just thought it was funny when Murdoc used a stun gun to get a true expression out of him! Mac needs to improve his acting skills!!! Well done!! Waiting (im)patiently for Ch. 2! |

| All I can say is... I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE IT SO FAR!!!!! I can't decide which exchange between Murdoc and Mac was my favorite. Those two never agree on anything... Not that I expected them to. It's like kind of like Halloween Knights all over again. The bickering between them was one of the best parts of the episode. Can't wait for more!  |

Thank you!! I'm just glad that Murdoc turned out halfway in-character... After all, he's the *real* star of the show, right?  (I keed.)Ba ha ha! I'm glad you liked the dig about the 'Kill Me Now' sign! I thought it was hilarious when I wrote it, but I'm never sure how funny jokes are actually going to be once they've left my head. :-D As for the guillotine---it was surprisingly hard to think of an outrageous way to attempt murder that Murdoc hasn't already tried.  Oh my gosh, I just *love* what you pointed out about Murdoc's sensitive side. I definitely agree that Murdoc would secretly not want to kill the bunny. He'd still do it because it'd be "what's best for business,"* but it wouldn't be his first choice. I can just picture him, so clearly, sneaking off where MacGyver couldn't see and just spending some time cuddling that fuzzy little bunny.  *.........and now you've just made me wonder what would happen if The Authority from WWE hired Murdoc. Thank you for that! I love it that you loved that line, because that's something else that I wasn't sure anyone else would get! Also, you have no idea how delighted I was when I started researching and found that there was real science to back up my crazy spider web idea. Truth is stranger than fiction, and science is so cool!! Ah ha ha!! That sounds like it's time for me to punch the air. You'll be joining the dark side with me & Murdoc before you know it. Thank you so much! You're really too nice. |

Aww, thanks, Dragon! Writing the banter between the two of them was by far my favorite thing to write. I could literally spend all day just having them quip at each other back and forth! They're both so funny and clever that writing that section was easy. I know I can't ever live up to Halloween Knights and so I don't even try to, but I really worked hard to try to bring a bit of that reluctant-ally dynamic to them for this episode, so thank you for the compliment! |

Yay! Part 2! LOVED IT!! I liked the "conversation" between Mac and Murdoc when Murdoc noticed they were being followed...how he kept saying "hm" and totally annoying Mac! So didn't expect the assassin to be a woman. I just watched The Negotiator the other night and immediately thought of Deborah!! Totally loved the car chase scene...very descriptive! I wish Murdoc had been driving the Trans Am, but it makes sense he'd still be using the Crown Vic and makes for an interesting escape. Well done!  |

Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun writing that part, too. Any scene with those two is bound to be hilarious.  I'm glad that my assassin was such a surprise! I thought she'd be a neat little spin. I wasn't sure how anyone would react to her, so I feel pretty happy right now.  Maaaan, you know I wish he'd been driving the Trans Am too... But that's okay. Bad things tend to happen to Murdoc's cars, right? I'm surprised that nobody's seemed to notice the Joshua tree thing yet... Am I the only one who still listens to U2?  |

Yippee! Perfect lunch hour reading:)) Things are really getting interesting now! So wrecking Xia's Trans Am made the hit a lot more personal...I can totally understand that! Nobody messes with my car!! Ah, a flamethrower ala Murdoc! Is that standard issue from HIT!? LOL! And good ole baking soda and vinegar...way to go, Mac! YES! The return of the spider web!!! Poor Mac did all the work to catch her! I can just hear Murdoc's slow, sarcastic clap! Oh, and he's such a baby when Mac insists on no killing and Murdoc says, "I never get to do anything I want." Nope, not when Mac's around! Not really trusting that Xia wants to turn against HIT...the guys better be careful. Poor Mac must have been so appalled to learn that HIT is using *him* to help train it's assassins. Wow! Did NOT see that comin'! And Mac is such a trusting soul...I'd keep Xia at arm's length!! Great episode! Excitedly awaiting the conclusion  |

Thank you so much! Yeah, and I'm sure you can imagine how much it pained me to even *think* about a Trans Am being wrecked! Ha ha ha! Flamethrowers aren't standard issue *yet,* but if I were the Chairman instead of Sonia, they would be! :-D The spider web was way too cool not to use twice! My inner geek went nuts over that one. For whatever reason, I loved Murdoc's sarcastic clap just as much as you ladies did. And I don't even know why. Murdoc's just so darn funny. |

I loved this SO MUCH, but now I'm sad it's over:( OMG, where to start??? Good to see Mac appreciating a good car...and he's so modest  I really liked his line: "It's hard to plan for what you don't know." I can so relate to that because I *do* it! I make up all these possible scenarios and drive myself nuts thinking of solutions. I guess I better take Mac's advice!Thanks for providing a little backstory for Xia. I felt really bad for her when she said "I'm not good for anything else" except murder and arson. Actually reminded me of Murdoc and how we've discussed how he thinks he's unlovable, etc. and his only *redeeming* quality is being a top notch assassin. Oooh, didn't expect Xia to turn on Murdoc! And then when he "wins" and is ready to kill her, the "Sorry, but I hate snakes" line is just pure perfection! But good ole Mac can't let anyone die! Classic Murdoc fall and "MACGYVER" yell! Of course he'll be back!!  LOL as Robinson talks about all the bad things that could've happened to Murdoc while Mac is battling vertigo!Oh, I forgot that Jack still thinks Mac is dead! That whole exchange between Jack, Pete and Mac is just awesome! You wrote Jack SO WELL!!! Asking if Pete could see Mac's "ghost"...LOL...everything about that was just great!!And the note from Murdoc at the end? CLASSIC!!! So hope they will have another meeting at some point (with Mac winning, of course!). PS: Nice MacGyverism making fuel for the flamethrower...should I be scared that you know how to do that?? Super great story, Sanguine!! |

Aw, thank you! I'm really glad you liked it! I'm especially glad that you liked Xia's backstory, because I wasn't sure how well that would go over. I kinda tried to keep in mind MDB's mantra about how villains don't care if they live or die while I was creating that character. It seemed to fit. Yes! It does sound like Murdoc, now that I think about it! I'm glad that that line made sense to somebody other than me! I wasn't sure it would. You can thank Rocket for the vertigo conversation and for the exchange between Mac, Jack, and Pete. Both of those scenes were her awesome ideas!! Of course they're going to meet again. I already have *several* ideas. As for the flamethrower: my interest is purely scientific. That was probably the most well-researched part of the story apart from the car chase, to be honest! |

| I'd write a review, but I think Uniquelyjas said it all. But I will add that I loved Murdoc's "Sorry, but I hate snakes" comment and the Jack/Mac/Pete convo best. |
