| It's been a while since I seen this episode, so my memory is a little foggy, but Mac said something along the lines of "this is all there is" when trying to convince the family not to lose their life savings over a so-called "better planet". I couldn't tell if he just meant "this is all there is" as in earth's the only inhabitable planet or if he was including the afterlife in that sentence. If he also meant that he doesn't believe in the afterlife, did he forget what happened to himself in "Passages"? Or did I misunderstand the sentence? |

| Kinda of late to respond after four years but I think you totally misunderstood that sentence. He's just saying that all they have right here right now is that there is no trip to another planet where people live. Got nothing to do with the afterlife. I just noticed that when MacGyver asks the sheriff to check out the Rigels you can see the boom mic above his head. |
