Well, another good one. I actually like it that this episode picked up where the other one left off. Yes, it may seem weird Bozer was still upset about what happened after they pretty much made up. I'm also glad MacGyver stood up to Thornton by threatening to leave Phoenix if Bozer didn't get better treatment.
I think the adding of the secrecy of Phoenix is just to do the opposite of the original. It may not be original, I know. How many movies or series are about organization that actually doesn't exist? While the original stands out because Phoenix is highly respected by the public and has positive reputation within the government.
I more or less agrees on the lack of relevant episode titles though it hasn't bothered me that much. I know I said I was trying to rename the episodes as I go along but I only have a sor far few like: The Ghost. But I think for the last episode I would've gone with 'S-218' and for this episode: 'Embassy Siege.'
The mission itself was great. For some reason White House Down came to mind. Couple of great MacGyverism and I liked the way he did his calculations and explained everything. There was lots of action in it and having the embassy members question Mac's ideas was a nice touch. Despite what the rest say about Riley, her scene with Janis was a good one. As if he was trying to convince her to let him go and she seemed to do so yet she doesn't let him get to her. A nice Riley moment. If she only cuffed his other hand as well and ductaped his mouth, that would've made it great.
This was a good episode.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. Sometimes you just have to die a little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of you. It's better to be a little sad than to be fake content.
