A few months ago, I assumed that if they go for it, it happens in the first episode and the relationship falls apart again just so they can find each other again towards the end. Because drama, baby  Now that they added Cusick, I think they will do it as a slow burn similar to how it's happening at H50 at the moment. Drag it out so they can get together either in the season finale or either in "midseason" (which would be in Episode 6 or 7)... |
I seriously hope it doesn't happen at all and maybe Desi will fall for the new guy. Isn't the romance on H5O between the secondary characters? To have two main characters get together is not usually Peter's style and it needs to be done right.
From what I read, many of those even non-shippers don't like the idea of a romance between Desi and Mac. They seem to have made their feelings known last season with some of Peter's posts like the bed scene with Desi and Mac while on the mission.
I remember reading a tweet someone wrote about a romance when the one scene of Bozer telling Riley about Sparky's reaction in the lab, and Peter said "don't jump to conclusions". This could be Peter's way of playing with fans.

I hope not, that definitely would be a wrong idea. There should be a balance drama and action. Hopefully they will have the romance between Desi and the new guy maybe.

I couldn't agree more . As I said before I don't see any romantic chemistry between Desi and Mac other than co-worker and possibly friendship. I think you're right about Peter playing w/ fans. I think he might just be teasing them/us : having a possible romance between the two characters than having them decide not to be romantic in the end. Of coarse that is just speculation there.
