Michael Thornton (Not funky) but odd Pete's son is never heard from again for the rest of the series.....

He is unfortunately more a trope than a person. In both episodes. Mostly because it is an hour long show. Family drama is one of the few things they couldn't pull off. Even though both episodes have something interesting plot wise.

I prefer the "Family Matter" Michael Thornton episode....

It was the first time I saw a dramatic twist on TV

He was in jail.

They said at the end of Fraternity of Thieves that he was going to serve jail time - for treason I assume, which is normally a life time sentence. They said his cooperation would reduce it, but it would still be a long sentence.

Still odd that they never even mentioned his name again. Not even card or letter when Pete had his eye surgery.
