I think my favorite Mac/Pete scene is in the beginning of Easy Target when they're arguing over running out of gas.

To me they're not co-workers or boss/employee here, just clearly good friends

Yeah that's a good one. It's very organic. It plays so well into the episode.

First one that comes to my mind is the lost murdered exchange in Soft Touch. Both Anderson and Elcar nailed their one word lines. Like MacGyver is not a traditional hard nosed agent and Pete is more an organizer but in an acute crisis situation like being in it is often more important.
