Would you rather not know the actual locations?

I was watching a RDA interview and the interviewer said he visited BC not long ago and went to some of the actual filming locations.

It got a point where he felt it ruined the magic for him. Being in an area which was supposed to be Bulgaria for instance in the show, but merely a spot in Canada.

Would you do the same and skip the "tour" of Mac locations?

No, I love everything about them. But for some I get it. I think Romania is the one he's talking about. It's the uncanny valley. Superficially BC can look a bit like Eastern Europe, but not really when you think about it.

what a... "unique" point of view.

For me (and I think most other people) visiting filming locations is much like collecting memorabilia.
It gives a connection so when you watch it you can say. "I've stood in that spot", "I've been to that place".
Knowing that they have filmed certain scenes in the place you're standing is cool.
I think it adds to the magic rather than takes away from it.

Do yo mean the swing bridge?

It's very cool to stand there and look over the edge and see the exact same thing we see in the episode - even today - it hasn't changed (by today I mean 7 years laugh.gif )

Yes just like that stadium is MacGyver Stadium. Wait, Henry Aaron Stadium is better. Probably not Eraser Stadium.
