Trespass
I crept toward the bureau, careful to make no sounds; I knew just where to step to avoid the squeaky floorboard. Nobody was home at the moment, but anyone might come in… and if I got caught, I knew I’d be in big trouble!
I eased the drawer open and searched between the folded garments until my fingers encountered the cold steel. I picked it up by the handle. It was strangely heavy, as if the gun was reluctant to be held.
How many thousand times have I wished that I had put it back and pushed that drawer shut?

Choice “Help me or feel free to go!” Murdoc pulled the remote out and pushed a button. The door at the top of the staircase clicked open.
MacGyver studied him briefly, before haltingly moving up the stairs.
Murdoc’s voice behind him was like a judgement...death of an innocent girl…
He stopped, gripping the railings. Was Murdoc being straight? A sister? Was it possible? Just knowing this was dangerous on so many levels. For both of them.
He had a choice. MacGyver slowly shook his head, looking at the stairs below him. Trust or mistrust.
Either way it was a gamble.
Wild Goose MacGyver fumed as he perused his belongings strewn outside the moving van. Then his heart skipped a beat and his fury melted. Blood? Jack’s wings were lying in it.
MacGyver bent, slowly picked them up and rubbed the red stickiness between his fingers. Stage blood? It was Halloween, after all. Still…
“Jack?” he called out, turning and searching. He almost hoped Jack would appear suddenly, laughing at his joke. “Are you in here?”
Squealing tires and there was barely time to dive out of the way. Gunfire made sure he wouldn’t be quick to follow.
This was definitely no joke!

His parting words caught me in a net of doubt. ‘The life of an innocent girl on your conscious’… How can he put this on me?
I can’t read him like I can read my friends; Jack’s got a twitch when he lies, and Pete I have known for so long I just KNOW when he’s stretching the truth. But Murdoc… the only way to tell if he’s lying is to check and see if his lips are moving!

No One’s Gonna Die
Using his safety rope, Mac lowered himself onto the ledge. He quickly fashioned splints for Paul broken leg, binding the pieces of his ski poles with duct tape.
“Mac, you should leave me here. Get help and come back.”
“No way! There’s a storm coming. You’d be a Cockney ice-cube by the time the Rescue got here. I’ll carry you. I’ve got extra rope.”
“You can’t carry me… the weight is too much!”
“I told you it’s no problem… and don’t think you’re getting out of this free and clear, bud. You owe me a new pair of ski poles!”

Just something I noticed about the end of season 6 and beginning of 7... I'm not sure about the exact time frame, but try to go with it.
The Worst Month of His Life
I wasn’t having the best month.
First I burnt my hands. Then, I nearly lost a foot. And THEN Murdoch got me with a bazooka and I lost my memory (again). After that, I was sure that I was safe for a while, but NO. Whadya know it, I got shot (in my lower left side, AGAIN).
So, I got to admit that when Pete went in for his surgery, I was feeling a little relieved. That meant that, maybe, just maybe, I could get some rest too!
Never mind that my house went up in smoke shortly after that.

Poor guy!
I'm having the worst month of my life (or so it seems) and when I popped in some season 6 Mac to soothe my wounded soul, I couldn't help but notice that he gets hurt 4 eps in a row... and then his house burns down. That almost, but not quite, beats the month I'm having.

Sounds like you could do witout any Adventure in your life for a while! Great Drabble!
Thanks.
Actually, an adventure sounds pretty good right now, anything to get me out of the drama of real life!

Acid Test
The gun is light in my hand… too light. Anger, frustration, revulsion war in my heart. I look down at this man… maybe THE man who killed my friend and his daughter, or at least one of the men… at my mercy now.
I stretch out my arm and look down the sight, trying to keep emotions off of my face. This is the test, I tell myself. If they suspect me, I’m dead.
And then suddenly I’m just angry, but not at this poor sap at my feet. I raise the gun and give Joseph something to think about…

Collateral Damage
It took everything I had to haul myself up out of the marina. I don’t know where I got the energy; all my strength seemed to be leaking out, draining through the hole Ralph had put in me.
Somehow I found myself on my feet—swaying like a drunk on a see-saw. All I could think to do was find Jimmy before the wiseguys finished their job, though I knew I was leaving a trail of blood and wet footprints on the pavement.
Just in case you didn’t know this: saltwater does NOT feel good in an open gunshot wound!

Thankee-sai!
Harry
He looks smaller than I remembered. Not just shorter, but shrunken almost… as if a great weight bore him down. I had to remind myself that the last time I’d seen him, I’d been only ten years old and three feet shorter myself.
He looks surprised. Maybe he thought I wouldn’t show… or maybe he hoped that I wouldn’t. Either way, he’s here and I’m here; we might as well make the best of it.
I offer him a handshake, but what I really want is a hug. I guess I’m still a little boy when I’m with my grandfather.

A Little Slice of Serenity
It took a little more than an hour to reach the ranch, but it was worth the ride. I could see a portion of the little valley that would become mine, thick with trees and glittering with ice-rimmed streams. There was a small herd making tracks toward the barn—paint faded a little but solid-looking and ample—and it seemed that I had never seen handsomer beasts.
The homestead spread out in a single storey sprawl, and smoke rose like a welcome flag above the snow-covered roof.
I nudged my horse into a trot. I couldn’t get home quick enough.
