I voted Murdoc. He is my favorite character in the whole show. He should have been in more episodes.

I used to feel kind of sorry for Murdoc, especially after learning that he had a sister, that he was supporting. He wasn't my favorite character though.

I voted Harry (John Anderson)! Always loved their relationship as grandfather-grandsom: it seemed so real to me! I always fell very sad and cry when I see Passages. Love this grandpa so much, that I wish he would be mine too. Everytime I see him on Mac's episodes, I want to kiss him and hug so much like he was mine!

I agree that Harry and Mac's relationship did feel very believable. In fact, as a kid, I used to wonder if they were really related since both actors were named "Anderson."

I know that this is a little off of topic but I noticed that almost everyone who guest stared on MacGyver had a last name of Mc or Mac. Except for Dana Elcar and John Anderson.

How did you come up with that idea??

Just by some of the episodes I've watched. For example Bruce McGill. I'm not saying everyone had the last name of Mc or Mac. But there were some minor actors that did. Here is another example Patricia McPherson who played Mike.

I didn't go through all of the episodes to find out all of the guest actors. But I just thought it was kind of ironic.

yeah 6 is quite a long way from the "Almost everyone who guest starred" statement you originally made.


Imagine if there was someone with a name which pronounced as MacGyver. Such as McIvor.

Imagine that call on set.. "Now MacGyver goes this way".... Both RDA and other actor look at the director and say "You talking to me?"

I had a teacher in college whose name was MacIvor.
