You know you have watched way too much MacGyver when you start thinking about how to take your Swiss Army Knife apart (And you also know that you don't have nearly as adventurous life as he does

). I have spent a long time researching and gathering tools and materials and now I have made quite a few custom Swiss Army Knives. Basically, Victorinox only offers so many configurations, and that's all there is. So, if you want something they don't make, you have to have it custom made.
Obviously there is money to be made doing this for people that have something special in mind but can't do it themselves. Just in case there is anyone on here who happens to be OCD enough about their SAK that this appeals to them

I thought I would extend to the MOL community that I will perform this service on a non-profit basis. So, if you supply the parts (or reimburse me for the ones I already have) then I will put together whatever your heart desires.
Some of you know I am a little obsessed with these things, especially after I started the MacGyver SAK Chronicles. Just thought I would try to give back to the community that has given so much to me. Oh, and my email is benjaminmark at comcast dot net. I wrote it like that so spambots don't fill my inbox up like MacGyver's mailbox in the Prodigal

If anyone wants to know what options there are, swissarmy.com and particularly smartknives.com are both quite helpful. I am inclined to think most basic knives could be made for $20 or less, and the most you would spend is maybe $30. It just depends on what you want. I can also fix SAK's that have broken blades, and clean/sharpen. Also I can use a SAK someone already has as a base and add functions, like a saw, scissors, file, etc. for just a few bucks. Anyway

just contact me if you have any SAK needs, I would be more than happy to help you out.
