Here's chapter two.

(Fade in)
Chapter Two
The Party

Several hours later the power got fixed again, the disco lights got fixed. There was also another set of lights installed the ceiling above the stage and another set that was able to stand on the floor on the other side of the stage. The actual party could begin. The Challengers Club was getting more and more visitors and by ten o’ clock the place was full. Kids, teens and adults were walking around or dancing. There was enough food and drinks for everybody. MacGyver and Sam got freshened up after their little accident and were controlling the lights and sound. The mood was cheerful and everybody was having a good time. At some point during the party Cynthia went on stage when the music was turned down.
‘Alright, kids, everyone. I would like to sing a song which meant a lot for me and my dearly departed husband Booker. It still means a lot to us and it’s meaning may not get lost.’
MacGyver pushed on the playing button of the installation and “I’ll be home for Christmas” started to play out of the music boxes. Cynthia started to sing along.

I'm dreaming tonight
Of a place I love
Even more than I usually do.
And although I know
It's a long road back
I promise you

I'll be home for Christmas.
You can count on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree.
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light gleams.
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams.

Oh oh ah I'll be home for Christmas.
You can count on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree.
Oh Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light gleams.
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams.

If only yeah
Well now, if only, only, only, only
If only in my dreams.
If only
Well, well, well Lord
If only oh
If only in my dreams.

When the song was over everybody started to applaud and whooping. Then it died out.
‘Thank you everybody. The next song will be more known to the elders around here.’
The song started to play and a few kids appeared on the stage. Backstage some kids were nervous who still had to go on the stage.
‘Come on, kids. You can do it,’ Sam encouraged them.
‘Oh, I don’t know,’ one of the kids whined.
‘Just think of something pleasant,’ MacGyver said.
‘Yeah, like Santa,’ Sam said playing along, ‘and presents.’
‘Or ice cream.’
‘Ice cream?’ the kid said with new courage. ‘Yeah, ice cream.’
‘Go on, it’s your cue,’ MacGyver smiled.
The kid went on stage.
‘Ice cream?’ Sam wondered.
‘It’s a long story. I’ll explain it to you later.’
In front of the stage everybody started to cheer when they heard John Lennon’s voice singing.

So this is Xmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Xmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Xmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so happy Xmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over now

Happy Xmas

Again after the song was finished everybody cheered, whooped and applauded. Immediately after the song was over another one started to play and the dancing began with the Jingle Bells Rock sounded through the room.

Jingle bell, jingle bell
Jingle bell rock
Jingle bell swing
And jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin'
Up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

Jingle bell, jingle bell
Jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in
Jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin'
In jingle bell square
In the frosty air

What a bright time
It's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell, time
Is a swell time
To go glidin' in a
one horse sleigh

Giddy-up, jingle horse
Pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and mingle
In a jinglin' beat
That's the jingle bell rock

What a bright time
It's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell, time
Is a swell time
To go glidin' in a
one horse sleigh
(one horse sleigh)

Jingle bell, jingle bell
Jingle bell rock
Jingle bell swing
And jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin'
Up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

Giddy-up, jingle horse
Pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and mingle
In a jinglin' beat
That's the jingle bell rock

The music had ended and again the whooping and cheering took place. Then when it slowly died out they heard something outside.
‘Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!!!’
MacGyver and Sam looked at each other with a sort of uncomfortable joy. Also on stage and on the dance floor everybody shared surprised looks. Again the cheer was heard.
MacGyver and Sam showed up on stage, everybody else went to the windows. A little shoving and pushing came to it but it remained peaceful, they wanted to see what was going on outside besides snowing.
‘Maybe if we go outside, we can have a better look,’ one of the kids said.
‘Yeah, come on,’ another one said.
Everybody quickly took their coats or jackets and hats, gloves, scarves while going outside. They all looked kinda stuffed up when they got outside.
‘Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas!!!’
The heads went up to look at the dark sky still there was nothing to see until…
‘Look, there he is!’ MacGyver cheered and pointed his finger to something that passed by a building. It looked like a sleigh that was being pulled by reindeers. The back of the sleigh was loaded up with stuff in several coloured papers. A big man in a red suit, glasses and a white beard was driving the thing. He was looking at the crowd below and waved at them.
‘Hi!!’ sounded from the crowd and they waved back.
The sleigh and the reindeers were turned to land in front of them. With an amazing grace and elegancy Santa Claus landed in front of the Challengers Club. He was warmly welcomed by the kids.
‘Merry Christmas!’ Santa laughed.
He got of the sleigh and the children ran up to him to hug him and shake hands.
‘Ho ho ho!’
‘All right, children, give Santa a little bit of room,’ Cynthia said.
The children let him go to give him room.
‘Thank you, Missus Wilson. It’s been a long journey.’
‘Santa, I would like you to meet the organisers of this evening. This is MacGyver and his son Sam.’
‘Ah yes, MacGyver,’ Santa said shaking MacGyver’s hand, ‘you work for that organisation, don’t you? What’s it called again? That foundation.’
‘Phoenix Foundation, yes. I took it over when my friend died earlier this year.’
‘Oh, I’m sorry to hear that about your loss. Well, the Phoenix Foundation has been doing good things, like organising this party for the children.’
‘Thank you.’
‘And have you been a good boy this year?’
‘Haven’t heard any complaints.’
‘And you must be Sam,’ Santa said while shaking his hand.
‘That’s right.’
‘Do you also work for this Foundation?’
‘Freelance, but I get the jobs done,’ he smiled.
‘Have you been a good boy this year?’
‘Yep,’ Sam said firmly assured.
‘That’s what he thinks,’ MacGyver joked.
Laughter occurred.
‘Hey, Santa, may I ask you something?’ Sam asked.
‘Sure, son. What do you want to know?’
‘Can I pull your beard?’
‘Sam!’ MacGyver said rolling his eyes.
‘It’s ok, everybody asks that. Go on, try it.’
Sam pulled the beard a couple of times. Santa’s eyebrows went up and down a few times.
‘They all fall for it,’ he said smiling.
‘Let’s go inside shall we?’ Cynthia said.
‘Yes,’ Santa said and quickly took a bag of presents out of his sleigh.
They all went back inside where everybody received a present and got to sit on Santa’s lap. While the party kept going on a young man suddenly appeared backstage. He seemed in his late teens, early twenties. MacGyver was backstage at the moment.
‘Hello, I’m Jordy,’ the young man introduced himself with a French accent.
‘Ah yes, you were supposed to sing tonight. You can prepare yourself in the office.’
MacGyver notified Cynthia of the special guest and everything got quickly prepared for the second part of the party.
‘Ladies, gentlemen, kids. Now we’ll continue with our dancing party and for the next act we’ve brought a special guest to sing it for you. Here’s Jordy and his song “It’s Christmas, C’est Noël.”’
Jordy came on stage when his song started to play. After a slow start the music kicked really in and the kids started to dance. Everybody started to dance. MacGyver with Cynthia, Sam with a girl. Kids were jumping up and down. All of them were having a good time on this magical evening organised by MacGyver and Sam for the children who needed it the most.

Look
There is a white blanket over us
A fire place, the Christmas tree
Thousand of little lights above us
And I am feeling so so happy

Tonight's the night for us, the children
To get the presents we've been dreamin' of
It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas
It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas

There is something up in the air
A nice feeling of holiness
For all of us it's time to share
With everyone our happiness

Tonight's the night for us, the children
To get the present we've been dreamin' of

It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas
It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas

Come on, everybody
Dancin' under the Christmas tree
Don't you want to party with me

Come on now everyone
Allo maman, c'est Noël
Et tout le monde se réveille
Christmas time
Danse, danse
Oh, c'est Noël

It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas
It's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas

C'est, it's Christmas, c'est Noël
C'est Noël, it's Christmas
C'est Noël...

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.
