It's been a while since chapter 4 but I finally finished chapter 5. So we know now how Maria Romburg got captured and it's up to MacGyver to get her out of there. This chapter get's a R-rating for a reason. So you're warned.

(We fade in with a shot at the Phoenix Camp and some MacGyverish music on the background)
Chapter V
Rescue Attempt
Captured
Mind Games & Dreamscapes
Sunset/Night

The sun was setting when it became dark orange. MacGyver was standing near the camp a few feet in the jungle and looked up at the sky. There was a hard wind coming up. MacGyver turned around and went back to the tents that were set there by the Phoenix employees. He changed his clothes. Pair of jeans and his white T-shirt. He placed his Swiss Army Knife sak.gif in his pocket with the rest of his stuff. He figured out his plan and refigured it.
‘MacGyver, you in here?’ Willis said.
‘Yeah, Willis, I’m here.’
‘Can I come in?’ (The music fades away here)
‘Yeah.’
‘Got your earphones, here.’
Willis gave MacGyver an earphone.
‘Have you seen Pete or Jack around here?’
‘They’re walking around here. They’ve got their earphones already.’
‘Is it the same frequency for the both of them?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Pete, do you read me, over?’ MacGyver asked while testing the earphone.
‘Yeah, loud and clear, over,’ Pete answered.
‘Excellent, and you, Jack?’
‘Yeah, Mac, I read you too,’ Jack answered.
‘Nice goodies,’ MacGyver smiled.
‘Yeah, they’re cool, I made them myself,’ Willis said proudly.
‘Alright, guys, let’s get together,’ MacGyver said.
A few moments later Pete and Jack in MacGyver’s tent.
‘So what are we going to do?’ Pete asked.
‘We’re going to try and find their hideout location,’ MacGyver explained. ‘We’ll use the jeep for this. We better get moving fast, it’ll be dark within the hour and I want to have it founded by then. Then we can sneak in at night.’
‘You got this all figured out, don’t you?’ Pete asked.
‘Yeah. Get us in get us out.’
‘What a plan, what a team,’ Jack smiled.
‘OK, then let’s move it.’
‘Alright.’
MacGyver knew they were taking a risk by going this near to darkness. He was worried about his friends. Pete wasn’t a big problem, he has years of experience in the field, but then again his reacting ability that’s becoming a problem and his weight. MacGyver was hoping for Pete that he can respond on time in faces of danger. Jack could take care of himself when it comes to it and Mac trusted his friend on this. He knows that Jack wouldn’t let him down. MacGyver drove the car out of the plane.
‘Come let’s go,’ he said.
‘I’ll follow your tracks from out here,’ Willis said.
‘Gotcha.’
‘So where we going?’ Pete said.
‘The Polar star is always North, so we’ll go North-North-East.’
‘But it could be on the other side too,’ Jack said.
‘Alright then, the first thing you see on the compass is the ‘N’ of North, right? So we’ll go North first and follow it the way around.’
‘You do whatever you want, Mac.’
MacGyver shook his head and they began their mission to save Maria and Nikki. Not much was said during the ride. Pete looked outside and saw that sun was setting more and more. The sky was becoming darker and a distant storm was coming closer.
‘It’s getting dark outside,’ he said.
‘Yeah,’ MacGyver replied. ‘That’s the idea. When it’s dark they can’t spot us so easily. Things will be more quiet then.’
‘So when they can’t see us, we have free game, right?’ Jack asked.
‘That’s the plan.’
They drove around for about an hour or so and after like ten hills or something they found what they were looking for. The storm was really getting heavy, big flashes of blue lightning followed by ear deafening thunders.
‘OK, get out but don’t make a noise.’
The three men got out of the jeep, quietly. It was fully dark now in the jungle.
‘Come on,’ MacGyver whispered. ‘Stay low and follow my lead.’
(The music of Obsessed is heard here where MacGyver goes the army base)
MacGyver, Jack and Pete snuck a little closer to the compound but they remained out of sight.
‘Wow! That’s one big compound,’ Pete said.
‘Yeah,’ MacGyver responded.
‘What do you think those two towers are for?’ Jack asked.
‘I don’t know.’
‘How many guards do you see, MacGyver?’ Pete asked.
‘I can’t tell. More then three anyways,’ he said while he saw several individuals going around the compound. ‘Strange. Why would they send so much guards if they’re so far away from the inhabited world?’
‘They must be expecting you!’ Pete said.
‘Yeah, but still. How would they know I’m here? Imagine that I wouldn’t have come at all.’
‘Nah, that’s not you.’
‘I can’t leave something unsolved, I know. Alright, so I know the building is big but we’re going to split up and each of us going to search through the parts of the building. Pete, you take the left I take the middle and Jack, you take the right.’
‘Got it.’
‘When you’ve got a problem or you think you found them, call me through the earphone. In case of any other danger, you do the same and hide then. Clear?’
‘Understood!’ Pete said as Jack acknowledged.
‘Alright. Willis, did you hear me?’ MacGyver asked through the earphone.
‘Yeah. Good luck, MacGyver,’ Willis said.
‘OK, let’s get them out of there.’
(Music becomes more tense something like Murdoc's theme)
They ran down the hill and looked if the coast was clear and then they ran until they were at the building itself. Before going on MacGyver gave Pete and Jack a last look and a sign of good luck. So they slowly crept into the building. MacGyver took the main building to his account. He was now standing in the hallway. He looked above him and saw camera turning in his direction. MacGyver ducked away from the camera.
‘Pete? Jack?’ he whispered in his earphone.
‘Yeah,’ sounded from both ways.
‘There’re camera’s, be careful and don’t get spotted.’
’10-4!’ Pete said.
‘OK,’ Jack replied.
MacGyver looked if the place was secure of the camera and then he took off again to search. He wandered around through the building, checking doors and searching everything. Most of the rooms looked like offices with computers or TV-screens. The strangest thing was that almost everywhere he came, the places were empty. No soldiers were to be seen anywhere. Where is everybody, then? The answer would be, somewhere else in the buildings. He came at a door with a plaque on it that said: control room. (Here we hear the music when he snoops around in Ellen's office of Jerico Games)
‘Control room?’ MacGyver wondered. He grabbed the knob of the door and slowly opened it. His head went through the door and looked behind it. The coast seemed clear. MacGyver entered the room and looked around. Television sets, computers, everything a control room needs. MacGyver shook his head. It looks like they’re prepared for anything. The whole room made him think of Quayle. Almost six years ago, this man once wired up a safe house with camera’s and guns to play a little game with MacGyver as revenge. But you might have guessed that MacGyver saved that day again. MacGyver was intrigued by the installations in the control room. He observed a control panel for one of the camera’s. He pressed a button and the television he looked at changed image to another hall, he pressed another button and it changed again. Then he founded another button.
‘Asylum camera’s?’
A gun clicked besides his head. (The music jumps up here and fades away here)
‘I wouldn’t touch that if were you,’ a voice said.
The fact that the voice didn’t sound like a woman comforted MacGyver a little bit. So it wasn’t Deborah.
‘You’re MacGyver, aren’t you?’
‘No, I’m not, somebody ordered pizza. I’m just a deliverer.’
‘Very amusing,’ the man laughed. ‘Turn around.’
‘OK.’ (Now the music of the first fight in Squeeze Play kicks in)
MacGyver quickly turned around and pushed the man against the wall. He grabbed the wrist and banged it against the wall as well to make the soldier to lose the gun. The soldier lost the gun and MacGyver rammed with all his power a right fist in the soldier’s body. A left swinging hook to the face and ended with a right uppercut against the nose. The soldier was overblown by MacGyver’s strength and collapsed exhausted on the floor. MacGyver took some ducktape and taped the soldier’s hands under his legs. He also taped the soldiers legs and his mouth.
‘Now stay here and be quiet,’ MacGyver said leaving the soldier behind.
(The music becomes slower and more tense)
He had to look for Maria and Nikki now. After wandering around some more he decided to go to one of the other two buildings. Maybe Jack and Pete had better luck on their search. MacGyver passed a corner into another hall but he ran back when the door on the other end of the hall suddenly got open. He peeked from the corner to look in the hall to see who was coming. It seemed like only another soldier, but another person was behind it. MacGyver opened another door that came out in another closed down office. He went in there and kept the door tiny little bit open. Just enough to see who was coming through. Several moments passed by until he saw… (Murdoc's theme is heard her again)
‘Murdoc!’ he whispered.
Murdoc and the other soldier passed by the door where MacGyver was hiding behind, unaware of his presence. (the music fades away here)
‘You know,’ he heard Murdoc saying, ‘I can feel MacGyver is very close by. He can be hiding behind the door we just passed.’
MacGyver’s fear to get caught just increased.
‘How would he know that I’m even here?’ MacGyver thought.
‘I ain’t stupid, you know,’ Murdoc told the soldier.
‘I know that, señor Murdoc,’ the soldier said.
‘Anyway kid, when MacGyver comes, he will be mine.’
‘I’m sure of that, señor Murdoc.’
‘Good, good.’
Murdoc and the soldier left the hallway and MacGyver could breath again. He peeked through the door again to see if everything was clear and everything was.
‘Hey, Pete, can you hear me, over?’
‘Yeah, I read you, Mac, what’s up?’
‘Can you take a guess, who I just saw passing through in the hallway?’
‘Six letter name?’
‘Yep.’
‘Murdoc.’
‘Murdoc.’
‘My God, he’s in on it.’
‘This is crazy, Pete.’
‘You wanna know, what’s crazy?’ Jack suddenly asked.
‘What is?’ MacGyver asked.
‘The place I’m running through, looks like an institution for the mentally insane.’
‘That would be the perfect place for Murdoc to end up,’ MacGyver said.
‘Weird to have place like this in the middle of nowhere. I can hear peoples screaming and orderlies are running the halls.’
‘Just make sure you don’t get caught, Jack.’
‘I’m careful Mac.’
‘That goes for you too, Pete.’
‘I’m in some sort of a hangar. Jeeps are parked here, there’s even an airplane.’
‘Well, be careful.’
‘Got it.’
(Through the music, military drums is heard in the background)
Pete told MacGyver he was in some sort of hangar and that was true. What were all these peoples up besides kidnapping and/or killing Phoenix employees? Start a local revolution? Maybe, since the place is full of soldiers. Jeeps, a plane and boxes full of weapons. Pete’s been in the field for like thirty years so he knows the drill. He’s been in plenty operations like this one and always succeeded. He tried to find a way to the main building. It wasn’t easy with all those doors. At one point he thought he was going in circles. When he thought he found the door to the main building, he got caught. (The music stops here)
‘Excuse me, señor,’ a soldier said.
Pete turned around.
‘Yes, may I help you?’ Pete said with too much kindness.
‘Mind telling me, what you are doing here?’
‘Yes,’ Pete answered and slugged the man unconscious. ‘Still got it.’
Pete smiled and dragged the man away by pulling his arms. He locked the man inside a room and pretended nothing happened. He went back to the door, he wanted to go in before. He ended up in the main building.
‘I found it. Mac?’
‘Yeah?’
‘I’m in the main building, I think.’
‘Really?’
‘Should I come and look for you?’
Before MacGyver could answer, Jack’s voice went through the earphones.
‘Hey, Mac, Pete. I founded something.’
‘What is it?’ MacGyver asked.
‘I think it’s some sort of list.’
‘What sort of list?’
‘There are names on it. It’s a patient list.’
‘Try to look for Maria Romburg and Nikki Carpenter.’
A silence.
‘Well?’ Pete said.
‘MacGyver, you should come over here.’
‘Are they on it, yes or no?’
‘Carpenter, Nicholle Anne and Romburg Maria. I guess we’re on the right place.’
‘Hopefully not on the wrong time,’ MacGyver said. ‘Jack, wait for us there. Pete and I are on our way. So wait.’
‘Yeah.’

Five to ten minutes later MacGyver and Pete caught up with Jack in the right building.
‘What kept you, guys?’ he said.
‘No jokes, Jack. Got any idea what room’s they’re in?’
‘They’re both on the third floor.’
‘Then that’s were we’ll have to look.’
The three men went up to the third floor to look for Maria and Nikki. It was eerie silent in the hall of that third floor. Through the windows the lightning flashed and thunder rumbled. While they were carefully going through the hall a few soldiers spotted them. MacGyver sensed something was wrong. The sound of the clicking rifles confirmed his feeling. The three men turned around and saw four soldiers keeping them under shot.
‘Call our superiors, they’ve got know who we caught,’ a soldier said.
A soldier nodded and took a walkie-talkie.
‘Colonel Murdoc, major Deborah, general Zito. We’ve got MacGyver!’ he said.
‘What?’ sounded on the other line.
‘We have got MacGyver and his friends.’
‘Thornton and Dalton?’ Murdoc asked. ‘Where are you located?’
‘They were going to the women’s rooms in the institution.’
‘Keep them there, we’re on our way.’
‘Won’t be a problem!’
‘Oh yeah, well, you don’t know who you’re messing with,’ Jack said, trying to be tough.
‘Jack,’ MacGyver said, ‘shush!’
‘It’s three against four, gentlemen,’ the main soldier said.
‘That’s right and you’ve got the guns.’
‘Mr. Thornton, kindly remove your weapons.’
Pete obeyed and dropped his revolver.
‘Is that it?’
‘That’s it!’
A soldier searched Pete just in case. The two others did the same with MacGyver and Jack. They took away his knife sak.gif , matches matchs.JPG and ductape duct.gif . Jack was clean.
‘You know,’ MacGyver said, ‘this is not a very good day to settle this thing. So I guess, we all better go home.’
‘Very funny.’
‘It’s my best joke.’
‘What’s keeping them so long?’ the soldier wondered about Zito, Murdoc and Deborah. (Here the chase music of Humanity kick in where Victor chases MacGyver)
Then suddenly a screaming was heard through the halls of the institution cause a moment of confusion. The soldiers turned around with their guns. Then MacGyver banged his elbow against the back of the main soldier causing him to fall against his comrades.
‘Good job, Mac,’ Jack said.
‘Let’s get out of here!’ he said.
The three men decided to run for their lives. MacGyver and Jack helped Pete out a bit with running down the stairs. Halfway they had to run harder when the alarm sounded off. An intense ringing and a piercing weuh-weuh sound went through the buildings. MacGyver went first when they ran down the stairs. By running down another flight of stairs, MacGyver misplaced his foot causing him to slide and almost fall down the stairs.
‘Where are we going?’ Jack asked.
‘To the jeep, the keys are in there,’ MacGyver answered.
They opened the door the came out on ground level. Several soldiers and orderlies were running through.
‘There he is,’ a woman screamed.
‘Jesus, that’s Deborah,’ Pete said.
‘Yeah, Murdoc too,’ MacGyver replied, ‘let’s go!’
They ran to the exit. Jack and Pete got out of the building but one of the soldiers jumped on MacGyver.
‘MacGyver!’ Pete yelled.
‘No, no, no, no, Pete, no,’ Jack said. ‘We gotta go, right now. We’ll come back for him.’
‘I don’t wanna leave him here.’
‘We’re not leaving him, we’ll come back for him. Pete, come on, we have to go now that we have the chance. Come on!’
Jack grabbed Pete’s arm and took him back to the jeep. They drove away, while MacGyver stayed behind. (Now we hear the music of The Challenge where he fights with Larson) He was struggling with the soldiers. MacGyver received a left hand to his face. He kicked the soldier back in his stomach when he got up and knocked his lights out with a right hook to the head. More people were coming his direction. MacGyver ran into one of the doors on ground level. He locked the door tightly with the key that belonged to the door. (The music fades away here) In case they would get it open, he placed a few heavy boxes in front of the door. He seemed to be in a small storage room where cleaning products were kept. Gunshots went through the door lock.
‘MacGyver, open up. We know you’re in there,’ Deborah said. ‘If you don’t open this door, we’ll force it. Within three minutes, we’re in there.’
‘Oh yeah? Well, I will be gone in two,’ he said and then he whispered, ‘if I think quick.’ (The music of The Widowmaker begins where MacGyver placed the SOS)
MacGyver noticed the air vent for the way out. The get out he searched through some bottles and noticed a vacuum cleaner standing in a corner.
‘Cleaning powder? And a vacuum cleaner?’
MacGyver was surprised who’s name was on it. ‘Phil Sternweis, Vortex Vacuum Cleaners? Well I’ll be damned.’
He used the cleaning powder to fill the vacuum cleaner. Climbing on some boxes, he opened the air vent. He placed the vacuum cleaner inside and climbed in there. MacGyver messed with the vacuum cleaner so it would shoot the powder out to make a smokescreen. Bang! The door went open and MacGyver started the vacuum cleaner. A smokescreen of powder filled the room. (The music stops here) MacGyver crawled through the air vent in order to escape. The place was small but he managed to crawl through it and opened to next small door to get out. He ran to the exit of the building and got outside. He was hoping Pete and Jack would’ve waited for him in the car.
Inside the building, Zito was outraged that MacGyver escaped.
‘We had him and you let him escape,’ he yelled at Murdoc.
‘Don’t yell at him, general,’ major Deborah spoke.
‘That’s right,’ Murdoc said. ‘Don’t forget, there are two more outside. We’ll get him, tonight… MacGyver is ours.’
‘You’re right.’
‘Of course I am.’
(Suspenseful music comes up here)
MacGyver ran back up the hill. The soldiers who got outside opened fire on him. MacGyver ran to the place where he left the jeep. The jeep was gone. Pete and Jack left without him. He couldn’t blame them. Lightning struck a tree nearby and thunder crashed immensely loud. He had to get out of there. MacGyver kept running and running until he heard barking in the distance.
‘Dogs?!’
When he was willing to keep running, he suddenly felt something big in his face. MacGyver was down before he knew it. The thing he felt was a gigantic black fist. He saw a big shadow in front of him. Dazed as he was he tried to regain his senses but he didn’t get the chance after he got smacked in the head with the barrel of gun. He lost consciousness. (The music becomes creepier)
‘Give me the radio,’ the big black man said.
The radio was given to him. ‘Yeah, we got him.’
(The music reaches his peak as we fade out here, then we fade in with a shot on the jeep as the music fades away)
Jack was driving as fast as he could. The car jumped over the hill. The adrenaline raced through is body. Pete was sitting next to him breathing heavily and thinking of his best friend.
‘Jack, would you slow it down?’
‘What?’
‘Slow it down!’
‘It’s only one more hill, Pete, then we’re back at the Phoenix camp.’
‘I don’t care, slow it down.’
Jack slowed down a little bit.
‘What in the hell just happened? They got him,’ Pete said.
‘I don’t know, Pete. You know MacGyver, he’ll always finds a way out.’
‘We can’t leave him there, we have to go back.’
‘Yeah, right,’ Jack smirked.
‘Yeah, right,’ Pete said determined.
‘But tomorrow then, right?’
‘Yeah, tomorrow. It’s too dangerous at night. I hope he hangs in there.’
‘Me too.’
Jack parked the jeep in front of the Phoenix camp. Willis was waiting for them there.
‘Where’s MacGyver?’ he asked.
‘They got him,’ Jack replied.
‘We have to get him out of there,’ Pete said.
‘How?’ Willis wanted to know.
‘We’ll figure something out.’
‘It’s just, there are no field ops available here.’
‘Then it’s just going to be me and Jack, but you can help us out planning.’
‘Whatever you say, Mr. Thornton.’

After MacGyver’s ruckus he caused, everything became silent again in and around the compound. Temporary at least and with exception of the lightning storm that was still cruising the skies above on full speed. Deep inside the asylum part everything was deadly silent. The halls were empty, operation rooms too. Everybody else was in their rooms. In one of those operation rooms the bed shackle was moving slowly from one side to the other as if somebody just passed there. The clock was ticking each second. (Slowly music builds up) It was somewhat over twelve. Ten to fifteen minutes passed twelve and silence will be gone within the next few seconds. (Then Rammstein starts playing "Rammstein!" deumdeumdenumdeumdeumdenumdenum)
Bang! The doors got banged open somewhere in the hall. A few soldiers and the big black man, Piedra and Deborah were running like hell to the operation room. A hospital bed was pushed forward. Someone was on it, in a straightjacket. That someone was MacGyver. He was moving like a wild man to get free. His feet were shackled up to the bed.
‘Give it to me,’ the big man ordered.
Deborah gave the big black man a syringe.
‘It’s for your own good, MacGyver,’ she said.
‘MacGyver, you’re going through a psychotic episodic phase,’ he said and pressed the needle in MacGyver’s arm.
MacGyver’s vision became blurry and very unclear. He just hoped he was about to wake up very soon from this nightmare. When he went through the halls, he could’ve sworn he saw Maria passing his bed. She ran a short distance along and yelled: ‘Murderer!’
MacGyver tried to respond but he couldn’t and before he knew it, she was gone. Was it really her or just an illusion?
‘There, in there!’ Piedra said.
Another pair of doors got banged open and they appeared in the operation room. MacGyver was still moving like a mad dog to get free, but it was no use. They forced him from one bed to the other and shackled him up again. Two other men appeared; Murdoc and Zito. (The music stops here and is taken over by apprehensive instrumental music)
‘Well, well, now,’ Zito said. ‘You’ve caught the one who can’t be caught.’
MacGyver began to ease down in the effects of that syringe. His eyes became bloody red.
‘Let’s begin!’
Murdoc already took a few snapshots for his employers of Homicide International Trust. MacGyver recognised the voices around him but couldn’t place them, whatever they shot him with, it was working fast. (The music fades away here)
‘Who’s going to begin?’ Murdoc asked.
‘We gotta brainwash him. He has to believe he killed Romburg and Carpenter,’ Deborah said.
‘How?’ Piedra asked.
‘I have a few idea’s,’ she said.
‘Do what you gotta do,’ Zito said, ‘as sooner he finishes off those two, the sooner we get to kill him.’
‘What about his friends, aren’t we going to kill them to?’ the big black guy asked.
‘Soon!’ Zito said. ‘Valhalla awaits them.’
‘Knowing Dalton and Thornton, they will come back to get MacGyver,’ Murdoc said.
‘You better count on that,’ MacGyver said. ‘If they don’t come back…, you know. I’m the master in escaping.’
‘We’re your masters, now, MacGyver,’ Zito said. (Here the music of Lesson in Evil comes up where Zito tells Evil is never predictable)
‘And I’m your mistress,’ Deborah said.
‘You’ll never get away with this, never!’ MacGyver screamed.
‘But we already started,’ Zito said with a little boredom. ‘You’re a liability to us and a thread to do our jobs.’
‘And you’re a thread to the society.’
‘Really? Without you I could’ve killed Lt. Murphy and doctor Skinner.’
By mentioning these two names, MacGyver recognised the voice of Zito.
‘How long have you been out?’
‘Not long after they locked me up last time. You struck me up to a bell in the clock tower where you rescued Dr. Skinner. About two weeks later I got out. Anyway, we’re not to talk here about the past. You’ll meet the past in Valhalla.’
Zito went to a locker in the operation room and Deborah took a small sets of syringes. (The Bad Dreams track of the Aliens score is heard here)
‘What the hell are you, people up to?’ MacGyver asked in fear.
‘Hohoho,’ Zito laughed and opened the locker to take something out.
‘What are you doing?’
MacGyver’s vision was still blurry and unclear. ‘You’re holding something, what is that?’
‘Perhaps, you don’t recognise it because of your blurry vision. So that’s why I shall explain it to you. This device was used to calm the patients down, the clamp in the mouthpiece makes sure that they don’t bite off their tongues. Very humane.’
‘You used that thing on Pete, didn’t you?’
‘And now, I will use it on you.’
‘No! Noooooo!’
‘Hold him down!’ Zito ordered.
MacGyver tried a useless effort not to get that thing on his head, but it was too late. They strapped the thing tight on his head. Just enough for him to breath.
‘Alright, use those syringes to flatten him out.’
‘We got out watch with these, we don’t want to overdose him or he’s useless.’ Deborah said.
‘Those three,’ Murdoc said, picking the syringes out.
‘Each goes for one hour.’
Deborah syringed MacGyver this time. MacGyver still tried to fight it but it was too late. The needle went through his skin. She shot him in the leg.
‘Where shall I put the other one?’ she asked sadistic. ‘In one of your eyes, or under it?’ MacGyver didn’t bother to answer, the effects were worrying him now. Bloody tears were running down from his eyes, now. Everything changed in front of him. The colours, the rooms, even the people around him. The colours changed in something greenish and then changed in an apocalyptic reddish like sky. Murdoc transformed in a snake like demon. His eye white turned yellow, snake teeth appeared in his mouth and a forked tongue. Zito began to look like Satan the devil himself and laughed out loud. What were they doing to him? Deborah, the b*tch began to look like a real one and I mean a dog. A rabid dog. Blood soaked eyes, a foaming mouth and a dangerous bunch of teeth. He couldn’t see Piedra or the big black guy nor the other soldiers, but they must’ve been hideously deformed. He heard them growl behind them. Suddenly Piedra comes in front of him, he had a demonic head crossed with a bat mouth, he made such an eerie screeching sound. The big black guy had a half blind blood smeared clown face and yellow iron teeth. Deborah pressed the second needle under MacGyver’s right eye skin, the third one in his lip. (The music stops here)
‘Now, what are the effects of that syringe again?’ Piedra wanted to know.
‘If it runs up to his brain…,’ Deborah got interrupted.
‘…it’ll brainwash him, right?’ Piedra guessed.
‘Sort of. He’ll go through several states of stadiums before he’s completely messed up and then he’s ours.’
‘How long will this take?’ Zito demanded.
‘About three hours so.’
‘That’s too long,’ Murdoc said.
‘No, Murdoc,’ Deborah said, ‘it’s just long enough.’
‘It’s half past midnight. We have to execute our plan tonight. By dawn they will be dead.’
‘What about Dalton and Thornton?’
‘We’ll kill them too, just don’t be impatient.’
‘When they’re dead, I’ll be more satisfied, then just only killing MacGyver.’
‘Alright, so he’s going to be out of his mind within nearly the next three hours,’ Deborah said.
‘OK, that will do,’ Zito said.
‘So what happens now?’ the big black guy asked.
‘Murdoc and I will finish with our doings in the torture rooms. In the meantime we’ll let MacGyver go crazy,’ Zito answered.
‘We’re going to have so much fun,’ Murdoc said cheerfully.
(The Bad Dreams track is heard again)
MacGyver was brought to his own room by Deborah, Piedra and the big black guy. The room was almost fully dark. The only light it had was black light. There were no windows and the room seemed more like a box. MacGyver had spasms of the shots they gave him.
‘We’re going to leave him here like this?’ Piedra asked.
‘No!’ Deborah answered. ‘We’re not. There’s one more thing, we have to do.’
‘What then?’ the big black guy wanted to know.
Deborah didn’t answered, she just left the room.
‘What is she going to do?’
A short time later she came back in with some sort of device on a trolley. The thing on it looked like a radio with a big headphone set.
‘What the hell is that?’ Piedra asked.
‘This machine will cause a massive disorientation during the… who should I call it? His three hour therapy. The machine makes all sorts of annoying sounds. Under the sounds, there’re hidden messages that will make him go crazy, completely loopy as a loon.’
‘Oh, okay,’ Piedra said.
Deborah started the machine and a whizzing sound was heard.
*Whizzzajawuut*
A whole mess of sounds went through the headphone. Deborah placed the headphone on MacGyver’s head. A part of the headphone set covered his eyes. That part was some sort of night goggles. The sudden sound in his ears made him spasm again, painfully this time.
‘That’ll keep him under control,’ Deborah said evilly.
The three peoples left MacGyver at his fate there. The attempt to rescue Maria and Nikki failed miserably. He was left behind on a horrible place. They had him. MacGyver couldn’t think anymore. The sounds through his head were piercingly loud. The thing that Zito strapped on his head hurt his head as if it tried to squash it. The clamp in his mouth prevented him to scream. Only a humming was heard but nobody could hear him. MacGyver’s eyes still hurt from the shots. The blood dripped now from underneath the goggles. Suddenly the goggles jumped on. A blinding white light made his eyes hurt more then they already did. The white light consumed him entirely then whoosh!!!
(A whooshing sound is heard and then silence)
MacGyver woke up as he opened his eyes. The white light around him slowly disappeared. He couldn’t move yet, it was too painful. The only thing he could do was to look at the bright clear blue sky. Distantly he heard a bird’s sound. An eagle he thought. Though the sound of the bird seemed distantly, he saw it fly right above him. For several moments he couldn’t do nothing else but looking at the bird flying above. His breathing became normal and when he thought he could get up, he tried. He groaned a little when he got up. What a headache, he had. He rubbed over his face and head with his hand. He looked around to see where he was. He saw nothing familiar, except the clothes he was wearing. He also wore his black jacket with the American flag on. The only thing he saw where fields, green grass, flowers. The wind blew through his hair. MacGyver was alone. The only things that were with him, was that single bird, the flowers, green grass, wind and the sun that was shining on a beautiful spring morning. He began to think that he was dead. It all seemed like paradise. But he couldn’t be dead, could he? Last thing he remembered was…Murdoc among things. Did the hitter finally succeeded in killing him? He must be dreaming. MacGyver figured it was useless to think about that. He wanted to get out of there, go home. He decided in which direction he wanted to go and that would be his right. (Here we hear the music of the first scene of Bitter Harvest where he drives the car) He walked for a few hours straight ahead, until he was too tired to move. He crossed two gigantic fields into the distant horizon and got very, very tired. (The music stops here) He sat down again for several minutes and then at some point he heard something familiar. It had the sound of clattering rain. He tried to figure out what it was and ran to the sound. He ran through some woods and ended up in a open spot, where water was running. (Now we here the music of Ghost Ship when MacGyver wakes up)
MacGyver founded a small waterfall which seemed like the beginning of river. He followed the way of the waterfall all the way up. There was a rocky way all the way to the top of the cliffs, perhaps if he could get there, he might be a step closer to home. MacGyver took a few drinks of the water, to regain his energy. It was time for him to move on, as he begin to climb up the rocks all the way to the top. He climbed several mountains in his time. He conquered the Widowmaker, so he surely can conquer this one. He reached the top in the end, when he got up, something struck him to the ground as if he’s been hit with lightning. (Now we hear the Montana track of Jurassic Park III) This couldn’t be. He looked so astonished that…it just couldn’t be true. He was looking at a prehistoric world, as in the time of the dinosaurs. He looked behind him where he climbed up the rocks, but that was gone now. Did he just travelled through a rip in the space time continuum or entered another dimension? This world died a long time ago. MacGyver hit the sides of his head, but he was awake. He was standing there as the only human being in the world of prehistoric creatures. Some dinosaurs were eating or drinking from rivers, in the distance a volcano was breathing smoke in the air. He looked at the sky, which was turning red in the evening. His feet began to move again, in the directions the few dinosaurs were drinking. He had to see this up close. He tried to come as close as possible and not to startle the animals. (Now the music comes up of the Lost World when we hear the first roar of the T-Rex) Suddenly one of the dinosaurs, lifts his head up as if it noticed something. He looked around, scanning down the area for possible dangers. MacGyver was intrigued. But intriguing feeling made place for a sudden fear when he heard an ear deafening roar from in the woods and a thunderous thumping sound. (Then we hear the track where they're rescuing Sarah in the Lost World) The dinosaurs that were at the river disappeared in a flash. The thumping sound came closer and closer while another roar sounded throughout the entire area. The roar gave MacGyver goose bumps and an intense fear. Out of the woods something was coming closer and in the setting sun a big shadow appears on the ground. (Now we hear the music change in the moment when the Rexes appear in the Lost World) The shadow matches the body of a Tyrannosaurs Rex. MacGyver’s mouth fell open of astonishment. He froze immediately. According to the books the Rex his vision’s based on movement. The Rex roared again with his head outback and releasing the roar in the sky. A frightened bunch of dinosaurs passed by the T-Rex. The Rex angrily and hungry thundered down on them, with a tremendous roar, he quickly bend down, opened his big mouth with razor sharp teeth and grabbed one of the dinosaur in his beak. He lifted the victim of the ground and threw it through the air, catching it again between his teeth. The Rex growled with his food in his mouth and shook powerful his head to break all the bones. The dinosaur in the Rex’s mouth died with the sound of a hurting dog. Then the Rex disappeared with his food back into the woods. Everything became calm again. (the music stops here) MacGyver was shocked of what he just saw, but these were the laws of the nature. Only the strongest survives. (The track Escape from the City of War of the Worlds begins playing) Well, if he was willing to get out there alive, he didn’t had any time to waste. He began to ran as fast as he could. The dangers he has to face are greater then he ever imagined. Walking with dinosaurs was something he didn’t count on and he had to get out of there. But how? If he travelled through time how was he going to get back, if he didn’t had a time machine? Running was the only option MacGyver had and so he did. He kept running and running, over open places and into the woods. He thought it was the safest place for now. MacGyver breathed heavily and tried to come back to normal breathing. A few moments passed when he relaxed again. What was he to do? There was nothing he could do. He was trapped in time. He’s been locked up in several situations and always knew how to escape. But escaping out of time was something he never been through before. He never saw this during science class, unless he missed a few classes. MacGyver tried to think but in this world there was nothing to think about. For the time being he could do nothing else then to stay low for as long it was needed. The sky still had the end of the world colour. Something came out of the sky, some sort of shooting star. MacGyver noticed it. (The music changes into the Tiny Pecking Pteranodons of Jurassic Park III) Then the screeching of petrified Pteranodons went through MacGyver’s body as razor sharp knifes. Yet again the terrifying roars of the Tyrannosaurs Rex went through the entire area again. MacGyver ran again, this time out of the woods into the open. There he saw the flying dinosaurs clapping with their wings. A few trees were thrown over and once more the outrageous T-Rex boomed out of the woods. He started snapping at the Pteranodons above him. His jaws made an awful snapping sound. He almost got hold of one but missed with only half an inch. Angrily he roared out loud. Two other fliers started to peck at his eyes. One of the three or four fliers pecked at the skin underneath the Rex’s eye. He yanked a piece of skin of the Rex his face. The Rex got even more angrier and roared ear deafening loud. While the Pteranodon prepared for another attack then Rex opened his mouth and the Pteranodon flew straight in. That’s the end of one. Another one went down at the Rex. The Rex bit in the wing of it, biting it off. The other ones flew away scared. The Rex roared again in the open. MacGyver got desperate. (the music fades away here) An explosion was heard in the woods. But what on this world can cause an explosion? Maybe it was the volcano in the distance. Another explosion. The Rex’s his attention got drawn of the sound. He roared again and with loud shocking footsteps, he went back to the woods. MacGyver got interested in those explosions though. He could see the volcano of where he was standing but besides some little smoke that rose out of the centre, there was nothing he could see that could cause danger. The Rex disappeared into the woods. MacGyver decided to follow him. Bad idea, he figured but he was too curious. While he followed the animal, he could feel something was just not right. It wasn’t because of the other dinosaurs around. (Here we hear the jungle music of Predator) There was another presence in the neighbourhood and for some reason it wasn’t a dinosaur, nor human. It was something bad and perhaps it came from out of the sky. In the trees something was moving. You needed sharp eyes to see it because it was camouflaged in the colours of nature. This thing was called a Predator. The Predators were a race of aliens trained hunters for honour and sports. Climbing trees was easy for them and training or hunting in a prehistoric world was the perfect place for them to do it. The Rex kept thumping up in the woods, it was the Predator’s next victim after he killed the other two dinosaurs. Predators usually fight with those who has the weapons, but with dinosaurs the situation is slightly more different. They’ve got prehistoric rage as weapon and a strong body. The Predator looked at the Rex who was coming closer to him. Predator’s had a blue vision in their four visibility masks. They had sort of infrared vision which caused them to see everything in blue. Whatever was warm would he see in red. The Predator climbed higher in the trees and let the beast come closer. The Rex was perfect in range of the Predators destructive weapons. (Now we hear The Fight track of the Predator score) In the Predators point of view three red sides of a triangle appeared. They moved in front of his eyes and formed a triangle. His shoulder cannon released a red laser to aim and than a blue/white fireball got fired away. The Rex was a tad faster to dodge the fireball and roared angry at the trees. MacGyver looked up in the trees as well to see where it came from but, he couldn’t see anything at all. The Rex couldn’t see nothing at all either and started to sniff loud. Another fireball was released and it was a direct hit but the Rex wasn’t out yet. He roared again. The place the Rex got hurt was bleeding now. The pain was terrible but the king of dinosaurs remained on his feet. He roared through the entire woods and began looking were the Predator was. Something dripped on MacGyver’s cheek. He wiped it off with his hand and noticed it was blood. He looked above him and saw two dinosaurs hung up in the trees, skinned and their heads missing. Dinosaurs didn’t kill that way, but Predator’s always did it that way. It was tradition that they skinned their victims, hung them up in trees and takes their head as a trophy. MacGyver was shocked by this sight. (Then we hear the track Blain gets Killed) The Rex angrily roared again because he couldn’t find his attacker. He banged his massive head against one of the trees. Then on another tree. The Predator founded it amusing to see his victim like this. He jumped out of the tree, when he landed, you could hear him. MacGyver looked in the direction of the sound. He saw something camouflaged moving. The eyes of the mask lit up yellow for a moment. MacGyver was startled. The Predator turned his attention back to the Rex. The Rex saw movement and roared again. But in a flash the movement was gone. Dinosaurs are colour blind and that makes it harder to see for them. The Predator’s wrist blade appeared. The Rex reacted on the sound again and went with his head to the ground, but when he suddenly felt pain in his face, he growled. The Predator pushed some buttons on his wrist computer to make himself visible. If he was going to kill him, he wanted to be visible. Electrical surges were heard when he became visible. MacGyver was shocked of what he saw. Not only shocked but surprised as well. (The music becomes slower)
‘Incredible. A whole new life form,’ he whispered.
This life form surely wasn’t the one he saw a few months ago when he was working at the hot springs near Elm Creek.
(The track Anytime kicks in)
The Predator taunted the Rex once more and then started to run. The Rex roared and chased the Predator down. MacGyver ran after them on a short distance. The Predator jumped in some trees and became invisible again. The Rex was confused by all this. He was confused and irritated by this trick. (Then The Hunt is on track starts playing again) Then the Predator reappeared again in the trees, shooting with his cannon at the Rex. Most of them were missed. The Predator took another weapon, he shot something out of it. It opened up and a gigantic net was thrown over the Rex. The net wrapped itself around the Rex. The Rex fell against some trees. He roared painfully when the grip of the net tightens and started to cut in his skin. Out of the rest of his arsenal, the Predator took a staff with a sharp point above and stabbed it in the Rex. The Rex roared of the sharp pain in his massive body. The net cut deeper and deeper in his skin. Then suddenly one last death roar, emerged out of the Rex’s throat and with a heavy thud he fell lifeless on the ground. The Predator took the staff out of the Rex’s body swung it neatly around his own body from one hand in the other and growls victorious with one arm in the air. He looked at the lifeless T-Rex. He took the net of the Rex’s body. MacGyver looked disturbed but with interest at what the Predator had done. The Predator scanned the dinosaur’s body. (The track Predator's Surgery is heard here) He stepped over the body and with his retractable wrist blade, he opened the T-Rex’s back. Blood was poured over the ground mixing it with the dirt. With his hand, he was looking for the Rex’s spine. The creature was gigantic and heavy. The Predator yanked out the spine and pulled on it. The entire spine was coming out and with a hard pull, he tore off the Rex’s head. The skull of the head was bloody but still attached on the spine. MacGyver wanted to puke. The Predator had his trophy, he cleaned of the skull with something frosty. Like the stuff we use in fire extinguishers. (The track Predator Unmasked is heard here) The Predator started to take off his mask. He pulled of a few tubes, a hissing sound was heard and smoke was released and took it off. Everything was looking red. He turned around to meet MacGyver’s eyes.
‘You’re one ugly mother**censored.jpg**er,’ MacGyver said astounded of the creature's ugliness.
The Predator’s face had a mouth that seemed folded up by four teeth. It’s almost seemed that he didn’t had any lips. Rasta like hair. He placed the Rex’s skull on the ground and noticed MacGyver standing a little what away from the leftovers of the T-Rex. The Predator pushed some buttons on his wrist computer, his eyes cooled down and everything looked blue again. He stepped up to MacGyver. MacGyver was too stunned to run away as he looked up to the taller human like creature. The Predator must’ve been seven feet tall. He grabbed MacGyver by the throat and lifted him off the ground. He scanned him down on any weapons or whatever seemed dangerous. He pushed the buttons again on his computer wrist. The red triangle appeared in his point of view again. Without his mask, he needs to do it manually. He’s retractable blade appeared again and with it he slowly went passed MacGyver’s face. The Predator scanned him down, he noticed something in MacGyver’s pants. He took it out. It was his Swiss Army Knife sak.gif . The Predator dropped MacGyver without any subtlety. MacGyver looked scared, angry and confused at the creature in front of him. The Predator observed the thing he had in his hands. The red triangle appeared again in his point of view. He opened the Swiss Army Knife sak.gif . He looked at the blade and compared it with his retractable one. He shook his head and tossed the knife back in front of MacGyver’s feet. MacGyver looked at the knife in front of him and back up to the creature. He tried to think of what the Predator is wanting. The Predator looked back at MacGyver and spoke slowly with a deep distorted voice.
‘No weapons, no sports!’
‘Who or what the hell are you?’
The Predator took the T-Rex’s skull.
‘Follow the red dying sun.’
Having said that, the Predator disappeared again in his camouflaged invisibility, never to be seen again. (The music disappears here)
‘The red dying sun?’
MacGyver looked at the more and more setting sun. He gets up and walks towards it. He walked in one straight line to it and stayed away from the most dangers around him. By the time he reached the horizon to sun was setting, darkness covered the earth. A humungous flash of lightning cuts through the heavens and is followed by an unholy crash of thunder. MacGyver covered his ears of the thunder strike. A bunch of scared flying dinosaurs flew in all directions. Lightning struck again and the thunder followed even more louder. (The track of Clash of Extinction of Jurassic Park III comes up) Then a tremendous roar sounded from somewhere. If this was a T-Rex it must have a been another one, because the Predator killed one. There was danger, MacGyver sensed it. He started to run again, until he couldn’t anymore. He stopped at a cliff, below there was water, but below, was way down of where he was standing. Then the earth started to shake under the power of pounding footsteps. An Allosaur came towards MacGyver roaring again. MacGyver got trapped, when the Allosaur reached to him with his beak. MacGyver closed his eyes for several seconds but nothing happened to him. A little too early MacGyver opened his eyes again when he heard another roar of the Allosaur. Then the big creature grabbed another dinosaur that was about to attack MacGyver. The Allosaur used the same method to kill his victim like the T-Rex does. He shook his powerful head to break all the bones. MacGyver thought he could breath again but when the Allosaur went away, he swung his heavy tail against MacGyver’s head. The Allosaur never really noticed MacGyver. MacGyver was send flying away, latterly, down the cliff. On his way down, he saw the Allosaur roaring once more, then he hit the water. MacGyver was unconscious and sinking to the bottom of the lake. He opened his eyes under water after a few moments and tried to swim back to surface. When he almost reached the surface, something pulled him back down. He was running out of air, then he faded out in the ice cold water and remained there for what seemed like ages.
(Another whooshing sound is heard and then silence)
MacGyver woke up again. The sky had a light morning colour. He gets up and looked around. Another open spot to wake up in. But this time it was different. This time he wasn’t in a field with flowers, green grass and all that stuff. The place he was at now, he’d seen before. He wandered around a little and founded a camp fire with the ashes still warm. So he was no longer in the world of the dinosaurs. He searched the small campsite and noticed hooves in the sands.
‘Oh, my God. I’m in the Wild West now.’
He was at the prairie. All alone of course, nothing to be seen in miles and miles ahead. His gut told him he should go up north. (Here we here the main theme of Serenity) After a walk of hours and hours he ended up in something very familiar.
‘This can’t be!’
MacGyver passed by a ranch which had a plaque saying: Big Springs Ranch.
‘Big Springs Ranch? But that’s impossible.’
Or is it? (the music becomes more tense)
The whole ranch seemed deserted and it was. MacGyver entered the main house of the farm but everything was deserted or empty. He entered the bedroom, the bed’s linen seemed to folded up only minutes ago. This was getting weird. Then he founded a picture near the bed. On that picture, he saw a person he knew very well. A man in an old cowboy outfit and a big brown moustache. It was the inhabitant of the ranch. On another picture, he saw the same man again standing between two other men. There was some description on the frame.
‘The best pals a guy could ever have! Andrew Jackson Dalton, MacGyver and Peter Thornton. May 7th 1879.’
Like dreams that comes true, MacGyver must’ve entered a previous life where in he lived in the good Old Wild West. Though there was something not right in this place. He could feel it. (Music fades away) Back outside, there was this creepy silence. It was as if MacGyver was the only person in the world, now. He passed by the cemetery on the ranch.
‘Here lies resting in peace, Billy Colton & Lee Sing.’
MacGyver went to the horse stables but also there was no horse to be seen. When he entered the stable he heard some sort of creaking sound. The sound gave him the chills, but he had to know what that was. *Creak, creak*. (Tense creepy Wild West music comes up) The sound was getting louder, the closer he came to the end of the stable. There was a ladder leading to another floor. MacGyver climbed up the ladder to the hay supplies up there. Then he saw a man hanging, there. A man was hung up at the ceiling, going around in circles. A piece of paper was pinned on his body with the knife sticking in it. MacGyver tried to read it.
‘Rest in peace, MacGyver. May 7th 1879.’
MacGyver touched the hand of his… well himself. He wasn’t even cold yet. Shocked he was.
‘This can’t be happening. No, this is not true,’ MacGyver said depressed. ‘I can’t be dead.’ (The music becomes more tense)
Suddenly the dead hand grabbed MacGyver’s wrist and the eyes of his dead other self opened. MacGyver freaked out like hell. He was so startled that he fell through the hole where he climbed through before. He landed not soft on his back. MacGyver jumped up immediately no matter the pain and ran away from Big Springs Ranch. He couldn’t believe it. He woke up in the day he dies in the 1800’s. A picture was taken with his friends on the day he died. This was just all mind game of Murdoc or a real bad dream. Maybe he was losing his mind after all.
‘It’s just a dream, MacGyver. Just a dream, you’ll wake up in a few moments,’ he said reassuring to himself. (Music slows down)
MacGyver passed the Fire Eagle Ranch on his way to the nearest town. He was nearing the town, which also had this creepy silence and desolate feeling.
‘Serenity!’ (Now we here the track Miracle of the Ark of Raiders of the Lost Ark)
The town looked like something really bad happened. A revolutionary war or a mutiny. Everywhere windows were broken, still MacGyver couldn’t shake to feeling of being watched. He entered the Red Dog Saloon. There were only skeletons of the civilians inside. Whatever killed them, it was quick. They all were still sitting at their tables. MacGyver ran back outside across the street and looked in more buildings, it was the same there. Whole of Serenity was infested with the skeletons of it’s inhabitants. MacGyver didn’t understand.
‘What the hell is going on around here?’
‘MacGyver!! Here I am!!’
That voice. Where’d it come from? MacGyver looked around, but there was nothing around. Again he looked in the sky, he saw something. This time it wasn’t no shooting star or whatever the thing was the Predator came in, this seemed more like an angel. MacGyver saw an angel hovering above Serenity. It all was peaceful but yet creepy enough to make sure it wasn’t right. The angel was dressed in a white dress, long blond hair. MacGyver heard wings clapping nearby.
‘MacGyver!!’
Then from behind the houses of Serenity, black skeleton like creatures with tails and wings started to fly around. These were dryads, known from the Greek Mythology.
‘Dryads?’
Soon Serenity was infested with dryads. The angel was still hovering around the place on a spooky way calling MacGyver’s name. The angel stopped in front of MacGyver’s face. She looked like Maria Romburg. Her face was bloody from tears.
‘You killed me!’ she screamed and grabbed tightly MacGyver’s arms.
Her eyes popped open in streams of blood! MacGyver pinched his eyes closed. He pushed her away, in the sand. She turned into a skeleton and then vanished. (The music becomes more tense here)
MacGyver ran away, the dryads were attacking him. They made screeching sounds. He tried to hide but one of the dryads grabbed his shoulder and pulled him up. He held himself at the dryad’s bones. MacGyver started to struggle to get free. He managed the break off the foot of the creature. The creature screeched and he and MacGyver fell down from a pretty height. The swarm of dryads, landed near their fallen comrade. Another swarm flew towards MacGyver. He ran out of Serenity back on the prairie. They flew in front of him. MacGyver turned his back at them, closed his eyes and put all his power to his will to make them go way. He clenched his fists and screams the lungs out of his body.
‘AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!’
The swarm crumbles into a pile of bones and they break up and fades away in thin air. (The music comes to a sudden stop here) MacGyver looked back at where they were, he noticed that he was all alone again. He sighed of the test he went through. How much more could there be for him? Not too much hopefully or else he will really goes nuts.
‘Did I really killed her?’ MacGyver began to wonder. ‘I killed her.’
He started to wander around on the prairie, in hope to find something to can get him to home. It wasn’t easy and it took a long time but in the end, he founded a railway.
‘Great! A railway. It’s a step closer to home, I hope.’
MacGyver walked on the railway for quite some time. Always straight ahead. Nothing but miles and miles of prairie and railway in front of him. He was hoping to get near a station soon, but then where would he end up? Is there actually a way of escaping out of an other century, besides using a time machine? Maybe not. Then again, how did he got from the time of dinosaurs, into the Wild West, through water? That was something what kept MacGyver wondering. From one time into the other, but he ended up like a hundred years to soon. Behind him, a big object on the rails, came closer to him. Smoke came out of the front part of the object. A train was coming through. MacGyver stepped off the tracks and ran besides the train when it passed by, he grabbed the train and jumped on it. Things took a turn in the good direction. MacGyver relaxed a bit on the train, but not for long. He wanted to see people and climbed up on the train to go to the passengers wagons.
‘Empty,’ MacGyver said disappointed.
He knocked on the seat of anger. The other wagons they were all the same, the entire train was just plain empty.
‘How can this train just be empty?’
It just is. Will he ever get back home?
MacGyver went to the locomotive, nothing was there. He sat down on the chair, defeated, desperate, not knowing what to do. The best thing he could think of was to stay on the train as long as possible and to see where it’ll stop. He took the machinist’s log, but there was no destination filled in. He looked in front of him to see what was coming. Nothing apparently. About two hours passed and MacGyver still hadn’t seen anything, nothing but desert and prairies. MacGyver took the binoculars that was laying there in the locomotives cabin. He searched down the entire area.
‘Nothing, nothing and once more nothing.’
It really looked like he was the only person on the planet left. A sole survivor. Then he looked in front of him again, with the binoculars. He saw something, but did he saw that well? He climbed up the cabin and looked again.
‘Oh, no.’ (Tense music comes up here)
MacGyver saw he was going down to a dead end track. He went back into the cabin and tried to brake the train. He tried too hard and broke of the brakes. The dead end was coming closer and he had to jump. MacGyver waited till the last possible second, as usual and jumped of the train, landing hard in the sand. When he finally stopped rolling over and over, he saw the train crashing against the barricade that was set. The train exploded with one big bang, the explosion blew MacGyver away, latterly. Then he ended up in one big blackness.
(The music stops and another whooshing sound is heard)
Once more he woke up. He wasn’t looking to a bright sky this time. There was now a ceiling above him and a very familiar one too. He was finally at home, back on the houseboat. He slowly stood up. He looked around to see if everything was fine. It looked like it at first sight. MacGyver sensed there was something wrong even though he was finally home. There was just this weird darkness around. MacGyver went to the terrace.
‘No!! This cannot be!! Damn it!!’ he swore. (Dark music comes up)
MacGyver looked over the most horrible place on this Earth. His houseboat was drifting over what seemed as a smoking black boiling river of tar in Hell. Reddish darkness as he was used to by now covered the whole area. Lava pools everywhere, black screeching birds of death flying around and many familiar faces of world history and other scum were getting tortured. MacGyver heard terrifying screaming everywhere. (The music fades away here)
‘They’re only ghosts,’ he said.
‘Interesting place isn’t it?’ a voice said.
MacGyver looked to his right and saw a person standing there. If it was a person anyway. The person that was standing there, had a red skin, a black tail and bat wings, horns. A three fingered fork and bad teeth. This person was the devil himself.
‘Who the devil are you?’ MacGyver asked strangely without fear.
‘As you said yourself, I’m the devil and you’re MacGyver.’
MacGyver looked somewhat surprised that the devil knew his name.
‘Yes, I know your name. Does that frighten you?’
MacGyver remembered hearing that phrase before. The voice of Satan sounded familiar.
‘No,’ MacGyver answered.
‘Does it surprise you then?’
‘Nothing surprises me anymore. What the hell am I doing here, anyway?’
‘You don’t know?’
‘Apparently not.’
‘You don’t recall anything? Can’t remember what happened before this?’
‘Look, all I know, is that I was trying to save the ones I love, then I got captured and drugged. Since then I’ve been in the weirdest places I can think of. I’ve been in the world of the dinosaurs, I’ve been in a deserted Wild West world and now I’m in hell. This is terrific.’
‘Yes, it is. This is a terrific place. You should now, what sorts of fun you can have here. Did you ever see Hellraiser?’
‘Yes I have.’
‘Here it’s the same thing, you can have pleasure and pain. It’s a pleasure to have pain.’
‘I’ve been dead before and things where slightly different then.’
‘Really?’
‘I don’t belong here and in fact I’m not even dead.’
‘You’ve taken this,’ Satan said, showing him a tube.
‘What is that?’
‘After you killed those two women, you killed yourself. Killing is unforgivable and irreversible.’
‘That can’t be, I can’t be dead.’
‘Remember the train explosion?’
‘Yes, but that just blew me away, the flames didn’t touch me.’
‘Still you’re here because of the contents of th

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.

‘Where are you taking me?’
‘Where you belong.’
‘Where’s Pete and Jack?’
‘They’re somewhere else, with your grandfather Harry.’
‘If you ever come near my grandfather, I’ll swear to God, I’m going to…’
‘What? Kill me?’
MacGyver bit his tongue at the last minute. The devil was right, he saw himself in that binocular, killing Maria and Nikki.
‘You cannot even hurt me, MacGyver. In this place you will do as I say.’
‘Never.’ (Here we hear the track where Tommy is kidnapped in The Battle of Tommy Giordano)
MacGyver pushed Satan aside and ran inside the houseboat. He ran up the spiral staircase and climbed onto the roof looking in every direction to find away of escape.
‘Where to? Where to, where to?’
Satan appeared on the roof as well. (The music becomes more tense)
‘Forget it, MacGyver, there’s no way of escape.’
‘I don’t care what you say.’
‘That’s fine but you will stay here, the evidences are hard. The gun had your fingerprints on it, you were founded guilty of assassination. There’s no way of clearing your name.’
The devil was right again. MacGyver killed his loved ones and that’s that.
‘They must’ve gave you a real good reason in doing so.’
‘I’m not to be bribed, nor forced. I can be very stubborn.’
‘You weren’t forced, you did it out of free will. Remember this phrase? From the bottom of my heart, I salute you.’
MacGyver remembered the phrase all too well.
‘Is that what they used against me? Or was it this one: Respect and gratitude for my people?’
‘You have a interesting memory, MacGyver.’
MacGyver snickered at the remark.
‘You’ll never take me alive or dead.’
‘But I already got you.’
‘Not if I jump.’
‘You wouldn’t.’
‘By falling of a waterfall I ended up in the West, an explosion caused me to end up here. I’ll wonder where I’ll end up when I jump in this hot black boiling tar.’
‘Nowhere. Your skin becomes entirely blistered, utterly deformed, never to recover again. Your eyeballs will be cooked in their sockets, your mouth burned shut, deafness of the tar in your ears, cooked brains, which will make your skull explode.’
‘Sounds horrible, but if I’m really dead, it doesn’t matter anyway.’
MacGyver jumped of the houseboat into tar. (The music reaches a peak when he jumps)
‘Nnnnnnnooooooooo!!!’ Satan screamed.
MacGyver plunged in the tar, it was boiling hot, he came back up screaming of pain and then he sank underneath never to come up again.

MacGyver still had spasms and tried to get free but it was hopeless.
(The music reaches another peak as we fade out here)

I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver.

Wow, good chapter, that whole crying blood thing was an interesting mental picture, I really feel bad for him. You know what that means, you have to continue really soon....by the way the part were he started to hallucinate was really trippy, in a creppy way. Good Job!
