Dudes, finally. Chapter 8, almost two months in between. It's like it keeps getting harder and harder to get there and then send something in. Anyway while still writing the next or last chapter (depends on what happens in the story) I already started to write a new one. I won't say more, you'll have to do it with that. Now I hope you'll enjoy this because we're going to make one hell of a ride.

(We fade in with tense music as we see the three men standing over each other)
Chapter VIII
Two Against One
Final Fights
Chase Into Space

MacGyver, Murdoc and Piedra were the only ones left in the hangar. Murdoc and Piedra got up taking a look at MacGyver. MacGyver’s eyes darted from Murdoc to Piedra. From time to time he looked around to see what could help him. Not much.
(Here comes up the track Neo vs Smith from The Matrix)
Then Piedra tried to hit MacGyver from out of nowhere. MacGyver grabbed the arm and pulled it. Piedra got pulled towards MacGyver, then he went to the floor. He rolled over a couple of times. Then he hit Murdoc again before he faced Piedra. Murdoc rubbed his painful jaw. MacGyver turned around. Piedra was up again. MacGyver grabbed Piedra’s collar. When he was about to hit him, Murdoc showed up behind MacGyver, he took MacGyver’s shoulder. MacGyver quickly looked over his shoulder and hit Murdoc against the nose with his elbow, then he extended his arm and hit Piedra. Again and again. Three right shots that made their target. Murdoc was bleeding now out of one nostril.
‘Ow, censored.jpg. Son of a censored.jpg!’ he swore when he saw the blood streaming out of his nose.
MacGyver was still hitting Piedra until he went down. A left and last right fist made Piedra hitting the floor. MacGyver turned back to Murdoc who tried hitting him. MacGyver ducked underneath the blows.
‘I got him,’ Piedra said and grabbed MacGyver’s arms making him to hold them behind his back.
Murdoc hit MacGyver straight in the face with lefts and rights. A hard right from Murdoc made his mouth corner bleed. Murdoc also hit him in his stomach several times. Those blows made it difficult to breath for MacGyver.
‘Hehehe!’ MacGyver laughed.
Then wham, his foot connected to Murdoc’s chest sending him away. He tried to break free from Piedra’s grip. Piedra’s grip got loosened a little when he tried to get free. Whack! MacGyver headbutted Piedra against the chin, and again. The third time he felt he hit the nose. Piedra was bleeding from inside his mouth and nose. His chin got covered by the blood. Also Piedra got a taste from MacGyver’s elbow in the face. A left in the face followed by a right uppercut. A kick against the chest made him fall over again. Murdoc tried to attack MacGyver again. He heard him coming and before Murdoc could hit him, he send his left arm against Murdoc’s throat and again. He swung his right fist in Murdoc’s face and hit him down with a left one. Piedra jumped on MacGyver’s back trying to get his arms again. His elbow got in Piedra’s stomach. Piedra didn’t want to let go so MacGyver hit him again with the elbow and once more. He grabbed Piedra’s arm and threw him over his shoulder. When he got back up, MacGyver hit him again with a right fist. Piedra tackled him and started to kick him everywhere he could, Murdoc helped him on this. MacGyver got kicked up pretty good. He felt their boots everywhere over his body. His face got cut from the kicks. He felt a kick against the nose, made tears in his eyes. The blood followed. He got a cut over his left eyebrow and the blood ran down halfway his face. He tried to protect his ribcage with his arms. His arms got bruised. He tried to get away from his attackers and all of a sudden he got up, he grabbed both men’s heads and smashed them against each other. He sold Piedra another overwhelming right hook and Murdoc a left hook. Both men went down. MacGyver did what he could in this very unfair fight to stand his ground. Murdoc and Piedra got up. MacGyver enlarged the space between him and them by taking some steps backwards. (The music slows down here a little bit)
‘Give it up, MacGyver. You can’t win this,’ Murdoc said.
‘Oh no? Then why am I beating the crap out of you guys?’
‘Freak luck,’ Piedra said.
‘Ha!’
‘I think it’s time we turned up the heat,’ Murdoc said and took his good old Rambo knife.
‘I see you still have that knife.’
‘It’s my favourite knife.’
Piedra took his knife with a swift move to open it.
‘Remember this?’ he asked.
‘Oh yeah, in the clock store. You were about to use it on me.’
‘Are you ready for round two?’ Murdoc asked.
MacGyver nodded. ‘Let’s have it.’ (The music changes here into the clock store fight from The Assassin episode)
Murdoc swung his knife towards MacGyver’s face. MacGyver dodged it. The knife came back in his direction. MacGyver grabbed the arm and pushed it away. Murdoc almost hit Piedra with it. MacGyver was taking a few steps backwards. He almost tripped over something and noticed the board he used before in his fight with Axminster. Quickly he picked the board up. Murdoc threw his knife at him. The knife ended up in the board. MacGyver took the knife out of the board and threw to the ground. He swung the board towards Murdoc’s head. Murdoc ducked and hits MacGyver in the stomach with right fist and a left followed to the face. MacGyver stumbled backwards but he didn’t went down. He attacked Murdoc again with the board and hit him on the arm. Murdoc raised his arm to protect his head. The board came down on his arm. MacGyver hit him again with it. Then he pushed the board against Murdoc’s body and forced him to go backwards. He pushed Murdoc against other crates and hit him down with a big right hand. Then he kicked him. Piedra showed up and hit MacGyver with his own right fist. MacGyver and Piedra were standing over each other now. Both parties didn’t know who was going to make the next move. MacGyver tried to hit Piedra, but on the moment MacGyver extended his arm, so did Piedra causing a bad cut in MacGyver’s arm. MacGyver screamed and went for his arm. He received a head butt of Piedra and another blow in the face. Double front kick. MacGyver went down on a crate. He lays there on another broken box. Covered under bits and pieces of the crate. Dazed and hurt he saw Piedra coming towards him, knives ready to kill him off.
‘This is the end of the line,’ he said and got ready to kill MacGyver.
When he started to make his move, MacGyver punched him out cold with a balled up fist against the nose. Piedra was unconscious.
‘One down, one more to go.’
Murdoc got up and went for MacGyver. He grabbed him and both men rolled over the floor. MacGyver ended on top of Murdoc and hit him again. Twice. Murdoc pushed MacGyver away. He tried hitting him again, MacGyver stepped aside and launched his knee against Murdoc’s chest. A left downwards blow followed. Murdoc went down again. He searched for his knife. He saw it a couple of yards away from him. He decided to give it a go and jumped to it. He almost had it until MacGyver elbow dropped him. Murdoc crawled to the knife and grabbed it. Both men got up. Murdoc was trying to stab MacGyver down. He was sick of this game and wanted to kill him right away. During his attempts he cut in MacGyver’s face. Now on the other side of his face. For a moment MacGyver touched the cut and when Murdoc tried to stab him again. He grabbed Murdoc’s wrist and broke it with a sickening crack. Murdoc screamed of pain. (The music slows down here again)
‘Ooh, God.’
‘Begging for God, are we?’ MacGyver taunted him and another right blow struck Murdoc.
‘You broke my f*cking wrist, man!’
‘Complain, complain. You tortured me psychologically and fiscally, tried to make me insane. Now what do you think is worse?’
‘You f*cking trash. Scumbag!!’ Murdoc cursed him.
‘Weakling. Go to the hospital and you’ll be taken care off.’
Murdoc observed his wrist. There was no blood so to fracture seemed to be alright.
‘Oh, right, there aren’t any hospitals here. Just an asylum for the mentally insane. Perhaps there’s enough that can help you with that.’
Murdoc took a few deep breaths and with another sickening sound he placed his wrist back where it’s supposed to be.
‘There! Screw your hospital.’
‘Whatever.’
MacGyver took his fighting position back on. Behind him Piedra slightly came back to his senses and stood up silently. Then on the moment Murdoc threw his knife, MacGyver took a step to his right and the knife ended in Piedra’s chest.
‘Oh,’ Piedra screamed. (The music becomes more tragic)
Murdoc had a brief moment of a oops-look in his eyes.
‘Oops.’
‘You killed me, you censored.jpg.’
‘That’s alright,’ Murdoc said. ‘I never liked you anyway.’
Murdoc pulled his knife out of Piedra’s dying body. Little blood gushed out of the wound as Piedra died. MacGyver observed the whole thing. Murdoc turned back to MacGyver.
‘What? I really didn’t like him.’
‘Throwing knives at me?’ MacGyver asked threatened.
Murdoc smiled evilly and laughed. Then he ran away with MacGyver after him.
(The music speeds up again)
Pete was going through the compound looking for Dr. Zito with his trusty six shooter revolver in his hand. Zito escaped him a few moments earlier when hell broke loose. Even though Pete rammed his fist pretty hard in Zito’s stomach, he managed to get away.
‘Where are you?’ Pete whispered in himself.
He saw another hallway on his right and followed it. When he was about halfway through the hall, he felt a gun against the side of his head. (The music turns creepier)
‘Well, well, Mr. Thornton, how nice to see you again,’ he said when he took away Pete’s gun.
‘Really?’
‘Yeah, honestly.’
‘Give me a break. I remember last time we were together.’
‘Oh, yes, during MacGyver’s so called lesson in evil. Those were the days.’
‘And it’s not even that long ago. So what’s your plan this time?’
‘Killing MacGyver for one thing and you’d be a nice extra.’ (The music speeds up)
‘Take this for an extra, Zito,’ Pete said and grabbed Zito’s wrist, pushed him again the wall. He slammed the wrist several times against the wall until Zito dropped his gun. Another blow when to his stomach. Left one to the face. Zito answered that shot with a left shot of his own. Pete was a bit shaken from the blow. Zito pushed him against the floor and kicked him.
‘Come on, Pete, is that all you got?’ Zito taunted.
‘I have a few tricks of my own.’
‘Oh, yeah. Can’t wait to see them.’
He kicked Pete again in his face this time. Pete was bleeding from his lip now. It dripped down his chin. Zito wanted to kick him again but Pete was faster this time. He grabbed Zito’s leg and rammed his fist in his stomach again. Then he pushed Zito down. Pete practically jumped on Zito and hit him several times in his face. Three times he hit him. Pete took one of the guns on the floor and pressed the barrel hard against Zito’s head. ‘You feel that, Zito? That’s how it feels to have a gun against your temple. I should kill you. If I met you like ten, twenty years earlier during my DXS-time, I would’ve done it. But people like you ain’t worth it. Get up!’
Pete pulled Zito up.
‘Against the wall.’
He pushed Zito against the wall.
‘Like MacGyver brings along ductape, I bring along rope,’ he said while he took some rope from out of his jacket pocket. He tied Zito’s hands together with the rope firmly.
‘There!’
Pete had his prisoner now and decided to take him to MacGyver’s jeep.
(The music turns darker here)
Jack Dalton was on the run for Deborah in the mentally insane part of the compound. He had his run-ins with this girl before just like MacGyver. Last time he saw her, he and Pete were captured by her. She captured him to lure MacGyver to her, so that she could kill him. Instead she founded her own near-death. Jack ran into a door the led to a sort of big conference room. There was no light. He crawled under the table. From underneath the table he noticed another door that might lead him to safety. The door he just went in through opened again and Deborah appeared, now there was a little more light inside from the hallway.
‘I know what you’re trying to do,’ she said. ‘Don’t make it so hard on yourself and give up.’
Jack listened to her voice and watched her legs to see which way she would go.
‘Stalling won’t help you nor it would help MacGyver.’
Jack carefully and silently crawled towards the other side of the table.
‘You know what I asked MacGyver when I blinded him? I asked him if I was a sight for sore eyes, or what. I never got an answer to that question. I should’ve asked him again when we took off those goggles that made his eyes bleed.’
Deborah slowly walked around and then suddenly she looked under the table.
Busted! (Tense music comes up here)
Jack got caught.
‘Get from under there.’
‘No, I’m well under here.’
Deborah cocked her gun.
‘OK, ok. I’m coming,’ Jack said suddenly in a hurry.
Jack crawled from underneath the table. Then he shoulder tackles Deborah against the wall. She dropped her gun, Jack pushed the gun away. Deborah unfolds a knife and sliced in Jack’s face. She got up as did Jack.
‘We don’t need to do this,’ Jack said.
‘That’s right,’ she said. ‘Give yourself up and you’ll be spared.’
‘Hehe, funny.’
Then she tried to stab him again. Out of reflex, Jack grabbed her wrist and took the knife away from her.
‘Thank you, what a nice knife. Come on, lady, fun’s over. You’re ours now.’
Jack took the gun Deborah dropped and held her under shot.
‘Now, raise those hands, dear.’
Deborah raised her hands as Jack carried her away also to the car.
(The music turns into the music from the harbour scene of Nightmares)
MacGyver was still running after Murdoc throughout the building.
‘Murdoc!!!’ he screamed.
‘MacGyver!!!’ Murdoc screamed back.
Murdoc was nearby since they were able to hear each other, but they couldn’t see each other. ‘Why do you keep following me around for? You can never catch me.’
‘The same goes for you too, Murdoc. Why do you do it?’
‘No reason, it’s all a game.’
‘Game, my butt.’
‘Yeah, don’t you think we should finish this thing after eleven years?’
‘I intend too.’
‘How?’
‘I’ll think of something.’
‘As always, but you’ll never take me alive!’
‘Probably not, but if I witness you dying, I come to look for your body myself.’
‘Oh, I’m shaking now. If you want me, come and get me.’
‘You got it, pal!’ (The music becomes more tense)
MacGyver increased his running speed but Murdoc was still a little bit faster. Murdoc ran through a door with MacGyver after him. MacGyver banged the door in and noticed they were back in the hangar. He saw that Murdoc ran outside. As fast as he could he followed in his tracks but when he got out Murdoc was out of sight. MacGyver carefully looked around, letting his eyes going in every possible direction. Murdoc was gone. Or not? (Slowly the track The Hunt from The Lost World comes up here) The sound of a starting engine. Suddenly from behind the compound Murdoc passed by MacGyver at high speed in a jeep. Vroom, in a flash he went into the jungle. MacGyver didn’t waste anytime and hotwired another jeep from inside the hangar. As fast as he could he tried to gain in on Murdoc who was now going at high speed throughout the jungles. MacGyver tried to catch up on him. The jeep was set in fifth gear. He got up to some speed as he saw Murdoc’s jeep in the distance coming closer. Murdoc looked in his rear-view mirror. He angrily knocked on his steering wheel when he saw MacGyver coming. The ride was bumpy especially at the speed they were going. They were trying to push it from 90 miles per hour to a hundred miles. MacGyver gained up on Murdoc fast. MacGyver was straight behind him now. He tried to drive next to him. That worked but not easily. MacGyver and Murdoc shared a look for a moment. Then Murdoc rammed MacGyver. MacGyver was hit but not too bad. He will and must get to Murdoc. Both cars had to dodge trees, so it wasn’t going to be easy. He started to look for things that could help him out. He founded a pipe underneath his seat. He looked in the glove compartment. There was rope in it. A light bulb went on in his head. The idea he got, he used it six years ago when he tried to escape from San Sebastian to the Mexican border. He used to pipe on the accelerator, so that the car would keep on driving. He used the ropes on the steering wheel to tie it down. Alright so that was ready. Murdoc looked questioned at what MacGyver was trying to pull off. Then MacGyver stood up in his car. You see, his car was roofless and door-less, compared to Murdoc’s car. When Murdoc found out what MacGyver was up to it was already too late. MacGyver jumped on Murdoc’s jeep from the passenger’s seat. He was now on top of it. MacGyver’s borrowed jeep crashed over a few big branches and tipped over a couple of times, it exploded when it crashed into a tree. MacGyver tried to hold himself on the roof. The car bumped over small branches. MacGyver tried to hold him steady by grabbing the windshield scrapers. Murdoc was trying to get him off the car but MacGyver kept himself firmly on the car. He tried to crawl better back on the roof. He let go of one scraper and tried to place himself better on the roof. With his long arm he tried to reach for the door handle on the passengers side. He almost got it but if he wanted to succeed, he had to let go the other scraper as well. He quickly had to decide how but when Murdoc started shooting on the windshield, he no longer had choice. The windshield did burst but didn’t broke. MacGyver almost slid off the roof. He grabbed with his left hand to right scraper, that made it easier to open the door and with a swift move, MacGyver got in the car. They both shared a look for a moment and then wham, MacGyver’s left fist hit Murdoc’s face hard. Murdoc hit him back with his right. Murdoc struck again and again. MacGyver head butted Murdoc twice and bangs his head against the side window. During their fighting they had to keep the car steady, which wasn’t easy. Dodging trees and looking at what was in front of them. MacGyver took the steering wheel to keep the car straight. With the back of his hand Murdoc hit MacGyver again against the nose. His nose was already bleeding, that last hit just made it worse. MacGyver hit him back with his right fist, he grabbed Murdoc’s neck and smashed his head against the steering wheel, three times.
‘It’s time for me to take over!’ he said.
MacGyver took over the drivers seat forcing Murdoc to switch places. Murdoc hit MacGyver again and he answered that shot with his elbow. Murdoc grabbed his gun. MacGyver grabbed Murdoc’s wrist. He banged it against the windshield, till it partially broke. Murdoc’s hand got cut of the glass splinters but didn’t let go his gun. MacGyver still had a hold on the wrist and he forced Murdoc to shoot out his clip outside. Then slammed the wrist again against the glass. Murdoc dropped the gun then. MacGyver knocked him against the window.
‘You wanted me to get you, so I got you.’
‘That’s right. You got me, but can you keep me?’
‘I guess, we’re going to find out soon. Where were you going anyway?’
‘Doesn’t matter. We’re going to die anyway.’
‘What do you mean?’
Murdoc was driving to a certain direction in order to escape. He knew MacGyver would come after him. The way they were going led out to a big river in the jungle, with of course the necessary waterfalls.
‘You see that?’ Murdoc said pointing out to the river that was coming closer. ‘That’s where we’ll die. You and I together.’
‘Yeah, but you forget one thing.’
‘What is it?’
‘I’ve got the steering wheel in my hands.’
MacGyver suddenly made a sharp right turn right in front of the river.
‘Nooo!!!’ Murdoc screamed and tried to gain back control over the steering wheel. He hit MacGyver first and then made the car turn to his left. The car with both men inside flipped over a couple of times and ended up in the river. They were both shaken but unharmed. The water was coming in from the broken windshield. They looked at each other for a moment. Murdoc knew MacGyver was willing to escape so he had to keep him in. He punched MacGyver in the face. MacGyver banged his elbow twice inside Murdoc’s stomach. Murdoc hit him back. Then MacGyver figured, up yours then and gave Murdoc a severe blow in his liver and that hurt. Painfully Murdoc kept his hand on his liver. MacGyver kicked out the windshield with his feet and escaped through there. He swam back to the edge of the river and climbed out. Murdoc was left behind the car. When the pain was gone for the most part it was already too late. Murdoc saw the edge of the waterfall coming. MacGyver ran to the waterfall and stopped when he was close enough to the edge. The car passed by him and then it fell down the waterfall with Murdoc inside.
‘MACGYVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
(The music changes into the part where Murdoc drives the jeep of the cliff in Obsessed) The car landed on some rocks causing an immensely explosion. MacGyver was devastated of Murdoc’s demise. MacGyver wasn’t ready to leave yet. He had to make sure Murdoc was dead. He had to climb down the rocks to get down below and so he did. It was pretty dangerous to get down there but he managed to climb down. He jumped back in the water and swam a few yards back in the stream to the car wreck. The car’s explosion caused it to break through in half. One side of the car was just gone in the water. Of course when MacGyver searched the car wreck there was no Murdoc. He thought he must’ve been drowned in the other side of the car. MacGyver took a few deep breaths and went under. He swam all the way down to the bottom. There he founded the other half of the car. His worst fear, came true when he swam to it. Also there no Murdoc. MacGyver swam back up for air. He got back up and angrily hit the water. He swam back to the edge of the river and got out.
‘I can’t believe this,’ he said. (The music slows down and becomes more tense)
He started to look around, but Murdoc could’ve gone in any direction. MacGyver went several yards straight ahead and there he founded…
‘Footprints. Though they’re not mine.’
That’s right, there were footprints of about Murdoc’s size and they led deeper into the jungle.
(The music fades away here)
Back at the compound, everything turned back calm. Pete was still on the way of bringing Zito to the Jeep. He met Jack and Deborah on the way.
‘Jack?’
‘Pete!’
‘Are you alright?’
‘I can ask you the same thing, but I’m fine. Guess, we got some more passengers, huh?’
‘Yeah, but we got them. Let’s bring them to car.’
They brought Zito and Deborah to the car. Maria was still there.
‘You got them,’ she said.
‘Yeah. Here take this,’ Pete said and handed over a gun. ‘Keep them under shot, if they try anything, you shoot them.’
‘Pete, where’s MacGyver?’
‘I don’t know. I haven’t seen him for a while. I’ll try to call him. MacGyver, do you read me, over? This is Pete.’
‘Doesn’t he answer?’
‘No. Jack, you try to call, MacGyver.’
‘Mac? This is Jack, come on, buddy, answer me, over?’
Again nothing was heard but radio silence.
‘Mac, this isn’t you, not to answer.’
Jack was right, MacGyver always answers his calls.
‘If MacGyver doesn’t answer, something terrible must’ve happened,’ Pete said. ‘I’m going back in there.’
‘Pete, no wait…,’ Jack said.
‘Jack, if something did happen… you just stay here with Maria.’
‘Stay in contact!’ Jack shouted after him.
Pete went back to the compound and called for his men to assemble. Also Nikki Carpenter was still there.
‘Men, listen up. We’ve got most of them. Zito and Deborah are caught and I think if you did your job most men around here are dead. MacGyver and Murdoc both disappeared. The question is where to?’
‘So what’d you had in mind, Pete?’ Nikki asked.
‘We gotta look for them. They could be still in the compound, but the chances are big, that they aren’t. Still we’re going to search building, if he’s not in there, this is not over yet.’
The men searched throughout the whole building looking for MacGyver and Murdoc. Of course both men were gone.
‘MacGyver, where are you?’ Pete wondered.
‘It’s a negative, sir. MacGyver is nowhere to be found,’ one of the guards said through the earphones. ‘It’s like he vanished in thin air.’
‘I don’t wanna hear what I’m hearing. Keep looking.’
‘Yes sir.’
Pete ran across the whole building and ended up in the hangar. He searched through the hangar and noticed the tyre marks on the ground. He followed the marks and led him to the jungle. This must be where MacGyver went off to.
‘Jack, do you read me over?’
‘Yeah, Pete, I hear you,’ Jack acknowledged.
‘There are tyre marks here and they lead into the jungle. I think MacGyver went after Murdoc, or vice-versa.’
‘You want me to come down there?’
‘Um…, actually no. I don’t want that. Take the car back to the camp with Maria and the other two and make sure they end up in a secure lock up there. Willis can help you out.’
‘But what about you and Nikki and those guards?’
‘Jack, don’t worry about. I’ll find my way back with the guards. You just go back and make sure that the necessary means are being done.’
‘Right.’
‘Jack?’
‘What?’
‘I’m counting on you, don’t let me down on this.’
‘Trust me, Pete.’
‘That’s what bothers me, over and out.’
‘Alright,’ Jack said, ‘everybody in the car.’
‘What’s going on?’ Maria asked.
‘We’re going back to the camp,’ Jack replied.
‘What? Without MacGyver? You can’t do that.’
‘Look, it’s Pete’s orders. I gotta make sure you’re safe there and that they get locked up.’
‘But…’
‘Mac’s going to make it, he always does. Don’t worry.’
‘He survived the boat explosion, I caused on him,’ Deborah said somewhat taunting.
‘And he figured out my riddles and saved my psychologist Dr. Skinner after I tried getting him off a clock tower in an old monastery,’ Zito said on his turn.
‘Shut up!!’ Maria bit back at them.
‘He’ll make it,’ Jack said reassuring.
Maria nodded, believing him.
‘Come on, let’s get out of here,’ Jack said.
They all got in the car and Jack drove back to the Phoenix Camp, while Pete called for his men and Nikki Carpenter to notify them about his discovery and MacGyver’s possible whereabouts. Wherever that may be now.
(Now we here the track Jungle Trek from Predator)
MacGyver was wandering through the jungle still following Murdoc’s trail. Even though Murdoc was nowhere to be seen, MacGyver had the idea that following the trail might lead him to Murdoc. He’d been through a lot with this man. Still he doesn’t understand how he always manages to come back. While he kept walking through the jungle, he figured out some theories that might give him the reason. One of them theories was perhaps just luck. But how can a guy have so much luck? That’s what he kept asking himself each time he escaped out of a hopeless situation. There’s always a way. His second theory he came up with, frightened him. What if Murdoc was his darker other self? Murdoc is a master of disguise, clothes, manners, voice and he escapes death like MacGyver does. Another theory is that Murdoc actually doesn’t exist and it’s all in his mind. Probably side effects from last night, but that doesn’t really match with what he’d been through before with him. Murdoc is probably just a human being like any other person, but then with many lives.
‘Stop thinking like that, MacGyver!’ he said to himself. ‘Come on, focus, pal.’
He followed Murdoc’s trail further in the jungle. They led him to a place familiar to him. MacGyver ducked into the bushes and crawled his way further. Did he see that good enough? He was at Trumbo’s old cocoa plantation. The plantation was deserted and dead. He saw Murdoc going in there. But what was Murdoc’s business there than? He had to find out.
‘What are you up to, Murdoc? What’s ya business there?’ (The music stops here)
MacGyver looked around and then ran closer to the plantation. He was at the wall now and slowly worked his way towards the door. At the door, which was standing halfway open, he peeked in to see what there was to see. Nothing. From Trumbo was there no sign. Either he was gone or he was dead. MacGyver entered the inner place of the plantation. He lost Murdoc out of sight again. He was standing now in the middle of the place. He looked very good around to see if there was anyone there. He couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being watched by Murdoc. The silence was deadly and fellable. It was time to breakthrough the silence.
‘Alright, Murdoc!’ MacGyver said in a raised voice. ‘Where are you?’
Walking and turning around, MacGyver tried to find Murdoc. ‘Show yourself.’
Then gunshots were fired right in front of his feet.
‘MacGyver!!!’ Murdoc said from behind a window of the house. ‘I’m honoured.’
‘Really?’
‘Funny how things can work out, eh?’
‘You mean…,’
‘That’s right. At first I was after you, now you’re after me.’
‘Did the tables turned, huh.’
‘Yeah, but it doesn’t matter, if you’re after me or not. You’ll never get to me.’
‘Is that so?’ MacGyver asked while he took some steps towards the house.
‘That’s true. Pete’s been after me for fifteen years till he met you and he never caught me. Except the time in Lisbon, he really got close to me.’
‘He should’ve had more luck back then,’ MacGyver hissed.
‘Guess, you’ll end up having the same thing. You’ll never get me.’
‘Why not? Why should it be different?’
‘Because I have the ultimate escape route.’
‘Do you?’
‘There’s only one place, where they’ll never look for me.’
‘And where’s that?’
‘Let me show you.’ (Tense music comes up)
From behind the window, Murdoc pressed a button on a remote control. Where MacGyver was standing the ground started to shake pretty immensely and heavy rumbling was heard through the area. Then the ground opened up as if there were two doors build underneath it. MacGyver was standing on one of the those doors as it slid away. He took a step back on the solid surface. The doors opened up completely and stopped at a sudden way. Murdoc laughed.
A black hole was now seen in the ground. The daylight poured into the hole. MacGyver gave it a look, but saw nothing special.
‘So? What’s the big idea?’
‘You gotta look better, MacGyver.’
He took a better look at it.
‘Can’t see nothing, Murdoc.’
Murdoc sighed. ‘Gosh.’ He pressed another button on the remote control and then lights went on in the hole. The lights revealed a very special craft. It stood up straight with it’s nose pointed to the sky. MacGyver’s first idea was an airplane but it looked different. Then he got the message.
‘A spacecraft?’ (The music stops here)
‘Correct, MacGyver.’
‘But…’
‘Where did you think I’ve spend those seven years after that building collapsed on me?’
‘Out there.’
‘That’s right!’
‘You’re completely crazy, Murdoc.’
Murdoc laughed on that remark.
‘No, MacGyver. Zito, he’s crazy. He’s a complete psycho, I’m just very smart, like you.’
‘Do you really think, I’m going to let you do this?’
‘I know, you’re going to try and stop me. You’re very welcome to try but you are not going to be able to stop me.’
Murdoc turned around and disappeared out of sight. MacGyver waited for a moment or two and then ran after him. When he reached the door Murdoc shot at him. He missed. Murdoc shot a few more times, then he ran away. MacGyver entered the house. He heard Murdoc running away. He was about to enter the kitchen. Then wham!! He felt Murdoc’s barrel against his head. MacGyver groaned when he went down.
‘Told ya, MacGyver. You’re not going to be able to stop me.’
‘Don’t think, it’s going to be that easy.’
Murdoc kicked him.
‘Oh!!’ MacGyver moaned and coughed. ‘Murdoc, you went through a lot of planning to get me and now you think you’re going to get away with it that easily?’
‘Shut up!’
Another kick.
‘Oh, God.’
MacGyver was in pain. Again. He kept his arms against his hurtful stomach. Murdoc grabbed one his ankles and dragged him into the supplies closet. He locked him up there. With a bar he barricaded the door. Painfully MacGyver tried to get up inside and turned the lights on. He looked through the keyhole and saw Murdoc opening a secret door in the floor. MacGyver’s first thought was to get out of the supplies closet. (The music from Trail of Tears is heard here where in he escapes from the pumphouse) He began looking for things that could help him out. The whole closet was stuffed up with food set on storage holders. When MacGyver looked through the keyhole again, Murdoc was gone already. He observed the lock. MacGyver got up and leaned against the door for a moment. He was thinking as fast as he could. He searched the storage holders and the boxes on the ground. He found a small gas fire. The thing looked like the ones he used occasionally when he went camping and couldn’t make fire when it had rained. MacGyver looked at the door. He got a risky idea. Maybe he should blow up the door after all, despite the fact that it was a heavy wooden door. The whole thing might catch fire. He kept the gas fire in his hand while he kept thinking. He knew how he would do it. Using the gas on the door and with the light bulb smashing it into it. The explosion must be kept as small as possible, just big enough to blow a hole in the door. MacGyver placed the gas down and looked for more things to help him out. A small amount of gas would do so he would need a small jar. There was enough food in the world that was stuffed in small jars and in this supplies closet there well plenty of small jars. He took small jar of pickles. He emptied it in on the storage holder. When he saw those pickles, he couldn’t resist it and ate one.
‘Hmm!’
The pickle was delicious and he ate few more. He couldn’t remember the last time he ate. Must’ve been since he left home. There was no time to lose. He poured the gas in the jar and closed it tightly. Then he went back to the door. He took his SAK and with the screw driver, he unscrewed the keyhole and took it out of the door. The jar was of course too big to fit in. MacGyver had no time to figure out another solution so he simply taped the jar to the hole in the door with some ductape. He took the light with the cable of the ceiling and took a safe distance from the door. Then his eye caught something.
‘Chocolate!’
He quickly grabbed a few bars and putted them in his pants. Alright no more time to lose. (The music becomes more tense)
He swung the light back and forth a few times and then wham. He slammed the light against the gas jar. The light bulb clashed against the jar as it splintered up in many pieces. The sparks of the light touched the gas causing a small but powerful explosion in the door. The flame expanded blowing a hole in the door. Then the dry wood caught fire. Not exactly what MacGyver had in mind. The door should’ve blown open. The fire enlightened the whole room. The smoke made MacGyver’s eyes tear. He started to look for water or something to extinguish the fire. While looking he knocked a bottle over. He picked up.
‘Sparkling water?’
He opened the bottle, putted his thumb on top of it, shook it really hard to make the bubbles come up and when he released his thumb the water gushed out of the bottle. He used it as a fire extinguisher. The fire got out and MacGyver kicked away the rest of the door to crawl back out. He coughed from the smoke but he got free again. (Uplifting music is comes up here) He lay down on the floor for a moment to regain some breath and then he also got into the secret door in the floor where Murdoc went in before. (The music becomes more adventureous)
In there was a long ladder down. MacGyver started to climb his way down. The room underneath floor was actually the starting point of the humungous spacecraft. The daylight shone in the hole in the ground. MacGyver climbed the entire way down and started to look for a way in. The real entrance door was locked There must be some hatch below or a door. Perhaps through the exhaust outlet. But if Murdoc was already in it and started the engine, he would be toasted. There was no other way in. MacGyver had to go through the outlet.
‘I can’t believe, I’m actually doing this,’ MacGyver said and crawled in the exhaust pipe. (The music fades away here)
It was hard to work his way up in the filthy pipe but he succeeded that way to get in the shuttle. He was all dirty from the filth inside the pipe. His face got black marks and also his clothes were stained. The climb wore him out as he was breathing heavy when he opened another hatch that came out in an area of the spacecraft. The engine room. It didn’t seem more unusual than any other engine room. MacGyver left the engine room and came in another open place of the craft. The craft seemed more like a freighter craft. Boxes and material stuffed up in a cargo hold. The cargo hold seemed at least four or five storages high.
‘Wow!’ MacGyver exclaimed as he looked up and around.
Then the whole craft suddenly started to shake. MacGyver was thrown to one of the boxes. He landed on top of one and rolled to the other side to fall off again. MacGyver felt more movement of the craft. It was like it was going up. A moment passed as it seemed the craft was just hovering and then whoosh at an incredible speed the craft left the starting point and flew up into space. MacGyver hoped that someone saw that but those were fragile hopes, since he went deeper into the jungle. Still, Pete had to be around there somewhere and should’ve seen it. MacGyver’s concern was where Murdoc was going to. Outer space that’s for sure. But where in outer space?
(The track Jungle Trek from Predator is heard here again)
Pete and his men followed the trails into the jungle. The marks of the tyres were fresh and easy to follow. The men surrounded, Pete a little to make sure he was safe. They pointed their guns in every direction.
‘Come on, let’s keep moving,’ Pete said.
‘Mr. Thornton!’ one of the men said.
‘What?’
‘Over there!’ he said pointing to something in the distance.
‘Come on!’
Pete and the men ran closer to what seemed to be a left over from a car that was on fire. It was the jeep MacGyver wrecked to get into Murdoc’s jeep.
‘It’s a car,’ another one said.
‘Yeah, a car, but no MacGyver,’ Pete said.
Pete looked around for blood but there was nothing to be seen. And MacGyver was also nowhere in sight.
‘One car is down but there are still marks going deeper into the jungle,’ the third man said.
‘Come on. We have to find MacGyver.’
They followed the trail down to the river where the trail had ended.
‘The trail ends here,’ Pete said. ‘Check this area out, now!’
The men spread out to check things out. Pete was determined to find MacGyver. He would not let him down and he knew MacGyver knew that.
One of the men came to get Pete.
‘Mr. Thornton, there’s something down there, below the waterfalls,’ one of the men said.
‘What is it?’
‘It’s the second car, sir.’
‘Any sign of MacGyver yet?’
‘No. Unfortunately not, sir.’
‘Damn it,’ Pete swore
They climbed down the rocks. Then Pete noticed something about the car. ‘Hey, where’s the other half?’
‘I don’t know, sir.’
‘Well, go and look.’
‘You want me to dive in there?’
‘Yeah, you too,’ Pete said pointing to the fourth man. ‘We’ll cover you.’
‘Alright, hold on, take this.’
The two men took off their jackets and dived into the water. They only found the other half of the car in the water. They came back up.
‘And, find anything?’ Pete asked.
‘Negative, sir. Only the other half of the car.’
‘MacGyver?’
‘No, sir.’
‘Murdoc?’
‘He’s not down there.’
‘So, they’re still alive. That’s good. But where the hell are they?’
Pete touched his forehead, while he figured out his next step.
‘Right, you two swim across the river and search over there. We’ll meet you there. We’re going behind the waterfall.’
‘Yes, sir.’
The two men in the waters swam to the other side, while Pete and the others took the path behind the waterfalls. They noticed the footprints and followed them to where they lead. They ended up at Trumbo’s deserted cocoa plantation. (The music fades away here)
‘This must be the plantation, MacGyver was talking about,’ Pete said.
They noticed the hole in the ground.
‘Can you see what’s down there?’
‘No sir,’ one of the men said. ‘What do you think it is?’
‘I don’t know. MacGyver, are you down there? MacGyver, can you hear me? MacGyver?!’
No response.
‘Check the house!’
They checked the house from the inside out. Pete noticed the smoke in the kitchen. He ran into the kitchen. He saw all the mess in there. The hole in the supplies door.
‘This is MacGyver’s handy work.’
‘What’s that, sir?’
The first man of the group entered the kitchen as well.
‘This is MacGyver’s handy work. Look! MacGyver knows everything when it comes to blowing up doors. This also happened not so long ago. Only fifteen, twenty minutes ago.’
‘Then they are still fifteen, twenty minutes ahead of us?’
‘Could be.’
‘Sir?’ another man said.
‘What?’
‘Look,’ he said pointing his gun to the secret door in the floor.
Pete opened up the door and saw the ladder.
‘I’m going down there!!’ he said determined.
Before the others could say something, Pete was already descending the ladder. So everybody descended the ladder. They came down there only to discover an empty place underground. MacGyver wasn’t there and neither was Murdoc.
‘Dead end!’
Pete looked up at the gap above. Sunlight hit him and as he looked down again he noticed big black marks on the ground.
‘Something was definitely down here.’
‘What than, sir?’
‘I don’t know. A plane perhaps or some sort of escape vehicle.’
‘What do we do now, sir?’
‘I’m running out of idea’s. What can we do? The tracks led us to a dead end. Who knows where they are.’
Then Jack called Pete through his earphone.
‘Pete, can you hear me, over?’
‘Yeah, Jack, I read you.’
‘Where are you? What’s going on?’
‘I followed the tracks into the jungle. We’re now on an old plantation or something. It’s a dead end and there’s no trace of MacGyver or Murdoc.’
‘What?!’ a voice screamed on the background. ‘Pete, where is MacGyver?’
‘I don’t know, Maria. It’s like MacGyver and Murdoc just disappeared into thin air.’
‘No, no. You can’t mean that.’
‘I’m afraid it’s the truth, Maria. The chances MacGyver is alive is very big. You just don’t kill him, he’s too good in his line of work for that.’
‘You have to get him back, Pete.’
‘Look, maybe he’s still around. I don’t know, we’ll keep looking for him. But if we don’t find him, then he’s on his own.’
Then the connection went out.
‘MacGyver, where are you?’
(Tense music rises again when we see MacGyver in the cargo hold)
MacGyver was still in the cargo hold of the spacecraft. The pressure at his ears hurt like hell. He made chewing signs to make the pain go away. He grabbed something; a few chains to have a hold for himself. Slowly but surely the craft left the Earth’s atmosphere and went into deep space. MacGyver was no longer on Earth.
(The music reaches it's peak as we fade out here)

Whoa! This is pretty crazy! So, is Murdoc a Gou'ald?

I like it--it's very different, and Mac and Pete get to kick some butt! Awesome!

Excellent! I love all the little extra information you give your readers to heighten their reading experience such as the background music. It totally works although there’s a few where I don’t know the music you mean but I can imagine what sort of music it is.
Your story certainly is a wild ride – Lots of baddies doing lots of evil things, lots of fights and all my favourite characters all in one story! Its very action packed and now MacGyver and Murdoc are off in to orbit! How will Mac get back to earth? I wonder if Mac has some zero gravity Macgyverisms up his sleeves? Please don’t keep us in suspense for too long MacGyverGod! I’ll definitely be looking out for your new story you mentioned too!

With the background music I can figure it more like a movie that I'm watching. Sometimes I write the name of the track along with the movie. Maybe you should try and download it. Sometimes I just write (Tense music comes up) then it's like figure something out yourself. It ain't always easy to find the proper music for the scene.
Zerogravity MacGyverisms? Hmm, they might be cool, but describing an ism ain't that simple let alone thinking of one.
Currently I'm thinking of what to do with chapter 9. I already wrote several lines. Hopefully I can send it in as soon as possible.
The other story would be also a different look on MacGyver.
