This is the sort of news item I'd like to see a lot more of.

Has a bit of a MacGyver ring to it... It's certainly nice to see theres still people like this around.

Wellington police would like to hear from two women they have dubbed "guardian angels" who helped a woman who was being indecently assaulted on Friday night.

An unidentified man tried to drag the 24-year-old victim into a driveway. Two female passers-by saw what was happening and shouted at the man, telling him to leave the victim alone.

The attacker then pushed the victim to the ground and ran off.

Wow- that's great to see some people that are concerned about others' welfare and willing to do something about it! MacGyver would certainly be proud!

Oh, and as for Pete's quote, I believe Mac has a nearly pathologic need to 'fix' things that are 'broken'. No matter what they are. This is not a bad thing, but it sure does get him into some trouble.
