I absolutely love this episode! It's one of my favorite Mac and Jack episodes. I don't know how realistic all the brainwashing methods they used in the episode are, but it was still very suspenseful and entertaining. The African leaders were realistic and did a pretty good job acting, too. Jack's lines are funny in this one:
"MacGyver? Is it really you? Is it really me?"
MacGyver had some funny lines, too:
"Jack, what's going on?" (He's just so deadpan here!)
"Come on, Jack, let's get you changed" (as if he were a baby! lol!)
"Sleep in your shoes." (When Jack's paranoid about sleepwalking again)
Pete's stare from the coffin in Jack's dream strikes me as kind of funny, too.
I love how this episode opened with Jack being confused about what was happening. The mystery, MacGyver's part in solving it, and the ending, where MacGyver teases Pete and Jack, pretending to be "brainwashed" himself--all of it just worked for me. It was a tight, nicely done episode! |

I mainly enjoy "Brainwashed" because it's an episode with MacGyver, Jack and Pete and I really love seeing that combo! The brainwashing thing was pretty cool- added a lot of suspense to the episode, especially as it looked like Jack might really shoot MacGyver at one point. And MacGyver manages to turn it back on the bad guys on the end- and his messing around with Pete and Jack at the end of the episode is pretty funny too- so definitely a great episode! |

"Stick your head in a bucket." With Jack sticking his head in one and keeps standing there. Mac's look on his face is priceless.
So is Pete's in the coffin.
Mrs. Hendrix was alright.
Also funny is when Mac lays down to sleep, he takes out his knife and throws it away.
'MacGyver, wake up. MacGyver wake up.'
'What?!'
'Is it really you this time? Is it really me?'
'Jack you're making no sense.'
'You're telling me. I'm having a problem. Seriously I'm having a problem.'
His nightmare is also really good.
'How did that get there?' and then when he wakes up he's still standing there as if he was holding a gun.
A good fine episode. |

I love the lines in this episode, especially the one with the bucket and the way Jack acts after that. Brilliant.
I loved the part in the ghost house as well, a real freaky place to be... alone.... at night. I love what Mac does with the mirrors, confusing Jack like that.
Oh; and another thing: the way Mac climbs over fences is hot! I first realized when watching "Off the wall", but now I see he has done it more often! |

By the way in High Control he also climbs over a fence and always swinging them legs straight over it, going vertically but still landing on his feet. Hmm... must give him a feeling way of flying. |

I've tried it once, but I had a pretty painful landing: flat on my face. When the kids in school asked me what happened I told him I had been a little rowdy and had gotten into a fight. Sounded cool at the time.
Now it only sounds ridiculous, really... |

yea i liked the way he jumped over the fence and did that spin of the car when they had to get back to the embassy to save presedent Dakkara, he does quite a lot of little extra's like that.
And yes its good to see Mac and Jack interacting. Jack was really having problems' and mac was there for him.

Yeah exactly! I love the way he does that. Makes me wonder if it was really him or a double, but I cannot imagine they'd hire a double to do such a thing.
I doubt they hired a double either. Rick has enough natural althetic talent to probably do that kind of thing without even thinking about it.
Reminds me of a time I saw my guy leap 3 1/2 up in the air, land on a post with one foot... then with a graceful hop, he was on ground. Like it was the most natural thing. You're right... it's incredibly sexy.

*SNERK* Sheepy, you crack me up! If it makes you feel any better, I once... ONCE tried the trick where you crouch down, roll backward onto your back and follow threw to do a handstand and then bring your feet down to stand back up???... can you visualize? I don't know what it's called. Anyway... I pulled it off. But I had so much momentum going that after I popped into the handstand and brought my second foot down... I kinda broke two toes.

I am watching episodes of MacGyver tonight with my 8 year old while the hubby is at work. This is the one my kids picked. She loves Jack Dalton episodes, and I do too. We're at the scene where Jack had been picked up by Mac, after sleepwalking and they are at the houseboat. Great scene! "Does her have a neme?"  Question: Doesn't Jack Dalton have his own place to live? They have him moving from place to place, mostly due to financial woes caused by his bad choices. But they don't explain why he is at Mac's here in this episode or in Ma Dalton. In On a Wing and a Prayer, he seems to be doing ok, and Pete I am guessing help with the repairs to the plane. This is a fun episode. I rated it excellent, just the nurturing side of Mac being shown, again, his protectiveness of Jack no matter how much Jack drives him crazy.

Loved the part where Jack in inside of MacGyvers house boat and he walkes up more then one time, the last one he wakes up MacGyver which Jack is standing just right by him and you have to love theses words. "From the bottom of my heart, I salute you."
