I think he did say the same thing. A little rusty.
Mac does talk about one of his languages being rusty in another ep.
Someone want to chime in with the ep name?
Mac who doesn't have a NOTEBOOK, ahem

In "Ghost Ship" - Season 3, Mac is trying to determine Karen Graf's nationality. He discovers she is Russian and tells her "... Now you'll have to put up with my lousy accent..." He then says something in Russian and she laughs - telling him that "... of course I understands English - I am educated..."
Curious I am to know... is English a manditory subject for Russian students, or do you have a choice of languages? - Anybody? - want to to jump right in here...????

I can't tell you anything about what happens after the cameras go off, mostly because I'm usually unconscious by then.

He said it in The Wall, The Ten Percent Solution and I think in GX-1.
I think the poison that was used was applied to this knife, passed to the mutton when it was cut and then activated by the wine. - MacGyver. It's in GX-1 he definitely says that his German's not so good, not that it's rusty.

Ever since I saw MacGyver the show has changed my life. When I was old enough I asked for a swiss army knife for my birthday. I got one for my 13th birthday and since then I've carried it with me. Except when I went to school because I didn't want to get suspended. But other than that I carried it along with a roll of duct tape. I always wore a leather jacket where I kept a small box of strike anywhere matches, a roll of duct tape, and my sak in the pockets. Since the series came out on dvd I've been able to study the espiodes better. A lot of the MacGyverisms I've tried out and they actually work. But I've always had my sak with me and it has come in handy. Cutting things....taking out screws..splinters...cut fish line...etc. The duct tape has also came in real handy...fixing a small hole for a brief time. And my way of thinking has changed a lot. Just like MacGyver I take time to think things through. Able to come up with solutions to problems just like MacGyver did. Just a few weeks ago I was getting on a plane. There was a little girl who was scared and didn't want to get on. I remembered the the espiode where Mac made a doll-type for the little girl on the train. So I did the same thing for the little girl. Mac would have been proud.

Thanks to MacGyver, I was able to fix a race car motor with a strip of aluminum foil and my handy SAK. If I hadn't seen Mac do something like that there is no way I would have thought to use the foil. Anyway once the car was fixed the peace was restored to the house. I never thought that when I had a child I would have to be a plumber, an electrician, a diplomat, a referee, a doctor, and a miracle worker, let alone that I would have to be all these things at once!

The stuff is already here, I just find a different way to use it. MacGyver
How has MacGyver inpacted my life? as a kid I used to expore all the time even today I love to expore old places and caves and such. My childhood wasn't a good one and MacGyver was the only safe place i could come to in my mind and get away from the pain I went through, it has pushed me into the person I am now. If there was a real phoenix foundation like the onle Pete and MacGyver worked at i would of joined a long time ago, but sadly there isn't.

well as a boy I always had a good time playing outside and Danger was my best friend. I never could be too happy If I didn't have a knife or something that I could pretend as if was a real one.... As I got Older I saw the TV Show and all the Adventures , it was like to see me doing that kind stuff. My Mother used to say that " HE " give me " Bad Ideas " Yes , EXPLOSIONS !!! IT is EASY to buy FIREWORKS and even a kid CAN BUY ( and save LOTS of GUN POWDER ) for a bigger BUMMMMMM!
Ohhhh yes I did. I've made a BUBBLE GUM BOMB . that's True. But I will tell some other day.
LOVE SWISS ARMY KNIVES and I keep buying more and more. and other knives too..
And I keep trying to find solutions to problems the MacGyver ways as much is possible.
I guess Im not 100 % like him because I like Fire arms too. well somethimes the REAL LIFE don't give you a chance to scape or use a SAK to be safe all the time....

Well growing up I was very adventurous, exploring anything and everything, very big on sports. I read alot, The famous five by Enid Blyton were my obbsession for years! Moving onto Star Trek and then finally finding MacGyver when RDA stopped working on SG. I was always on random paths, not sure what I was doing, what I wanted to do with my life. And Mac summed up the person I would love to be even half like.
I was in a very dark place and feeling trapped etc, the show was great for me to escape at the time, I feel very influenced by the morals, as I was a year or so ago very troubled/angry/lost teenager. Now I have passified learning from episodes like The Challenge, that there are other ways of doing thing. Bought my first SAK and carry it everywhere it's SO USEFUL! Duct tape usually too. Being a uni student right now, the alcohol lessons from Mac haven't made me give up drinking quite yet, but I do have it a LOT more in check than previously.
The enviromental aspect of the show has really inspired me and I have so much travelling I want to do.
Sorry I've only just noticed this, but I only joined Feb 09, and I'm married to a Russian.

Yes, I'd say English is compulsory for Russians - it's my wife's second language, and she once told me she'd learnt English in school, but it was a particular version of it (I think British/International English rather than American English).
My sister-in-law is an English teacher over there (and guess who she asks about using the English language when I'm visiting my in-laws? )
Some days, you wonder why you got out of bed... Watching and enjoying Season 7 on Region 2 DVD!
I first saw the trail for MacGyver on BBC1 back in the late 80's (1987 I think), and I was hooked!
I always liked the fact that Mac didn't like guns (okay, he fires one in the pilot or uses them to create a distraction) and that he uses his head instead of a weapon.
As to how he's impacted me: well, I've still got a deep interest in reading, travelling and I have a whole lot of facts (useless or otherwise) in my head somewhere that I can use.
I also studied physics and chemistry at school, as well as technical drawing (drafting if you will), and I have an interest in electronics and electrical stuff too.
I also always liked the fact that Mac rarely swears more than a "damn", although I'm not that well controlled, I'm trying to get back there again.
Hey, I'm not perfect either - yet

Well, when i first time saw MacGyver from TV, i was about 5 or something, i was so amazed that MacGyver could do all those thing from diffrent things and save the day. So few years ago i saw Mac again, and then i realized that i love him! First i bought some Seasons and then i got SAK. I carry my SAK always in my pocket... just like MacGyver did. I like to adventure around diffrent places, mostly nature. Someday, when im older i'll go to little hiking trip somewhere... just like Mac did! Im really into chemistry and physics, i like to study new stuff about them in school.
After all, Im very impacted by Mac, i like to help people, do stuff with my SAK and hike, i really wasnt that kinda person before.
