I really like this episode a lot. I think that it shows just how humble MacGyver is by dressing and mingling with the homeless and being one of them. It also shows how far he will go to find a friend's murderer. I like his statement to Doc about how we're all the same, except for just a little bit of luck (not word for word, but you get my meaning). It's true. People tend to take for granted what they have sometimes, until it's taken away from them.

I found this episode to be very humbling.

If we look around, the things we have that some people just take for granted, the list is so vast that I can't name all that I'm grateful for. A family that loves me, a good home, a great education, Jesus saving me, the fact that the Bible is so readily available to me when it isnt in many parts of the world; there's just so much!

I really like this one.

I like Doc and Danny and the message that we are all the same, except for a little bit of luck. I like Mac acting as a homeless guy (he really is head and shoulders taller than everyone else, isn't he!) and thickening his accent to disguise his voice! I also like how he'll go to any lengths to get justice for his friend.

I was sure I'd seen Scott Bellis in something else, but looking at IMDB suggests not. Can't quite work out who he reminds me of...

I wonder if this was suppose to be the same priest as the guy in the Madonna but they got the name wrong?

Remember Father Lafferty in the Madonna was an old friend of MacGyver who use to play hockey with him. And now this priest (Father Jim) is an old friend who use to also play hockey with him.

Seems a little odd that 2 of his old hockey team mates would become priests doesn't it?

Yes two would seem highly unlikely ... unless he was overly religious and/or spent time in a seminary at some point in his past (that we don't know about).

On the otherhand, there's always been a strong bond between Catholicism and hockey. I remember in high school, the local catholic teams were always very strong and then there are the Flying Fathers which (I suspect) may well have been the inspiration behind this/these character/characters.

Great episode btw, liked Mac's NYC accent to help sell/slide his bum gig.

I don't like this episode at all, too slow not much action, I'm not a fan ... nevertheless I salute the performance of RDA equal to itself ...
