I don't think they have a reverse setting.. and its not going to change anything anyway.. the air (or preserves) still take the same path.. just in the oppersite direction.

Kiddo and I just watched this one yet again, and I had to chuckle...guess i never paid that much attention before....but you have a love an episode where your favorite action hero looks right at home in pink longjohns and suspenders...
This is one of my favorite eps, in spite of Amish Mafia guy... .
"It's amazing what one can do when one doesn't know what one can't do." Garfield the Cat
"Another day, a whole 'nother set of fresh possibilities. I'm a sucker for mornings." MacGyver
I always wondered about when Mac was making himself this crutch. He just took this coat rack apart without asking, or even hesitating.
I mean, how would I feel in the shoes of the sisters if I fed and helped someone and this is the thank I get, him destroying my things?
At least they should have shown a scene at the end where he was repairing it
But seriously, I think there is a difference between Mac using things that just lay around or destroying things that belong to someone and where he can't know what the sentimenal value is for that person. It just didn't feel right for me, seeing him being so thoughtless.
Seems like I found a plot bunny for my first MacGyver-story... as if there were not enough others running around here already! Shoo, go play with someone else!

I've thought about that before too, Astra. I watched Three for the Road today, and he destroyed the old couple's car, but at least he told them the reasons why and that he would replace it.

Check out the coat rack that Mac uses to make his crutch. OK, now go back to season 3's GX-1. Check out the scene when Mac and Nikki arrive at the Aspenhaus. Mac has just driven away and Nikki goes up the steps of the building when she sees Starkoss and the Russian officer in the car. OK, now check behind her. See the coat rack? Look familiar?
Hehehehehehehehehehe!
That which has been established will endure even with time and at a distance.
I can't tell you anything about what happens after the cameras go off, mostly because I'm usually unconscious by then.
Maybe she took it with her and later on sold it to the sisters? At least then my theory that they got it from their grandmother and therefore it has much value for them isn't true
2. It shows that even a guy as observant as Mac can step into a bear trap. I am a klutx I confess and that looks like something that I would do.
I would call him anything but observant in this scene. He had seen and closed the other trap - and then he is taking a step forward, while still looking backwards?!? Just doesn't make much sense. He should have looked where he puts his foot, when knowing of the danger!
Makes for one of the best whump scenes, though (if you are familiar with Jack O'Neill, then you can see a similarity here - Mac also puts his arm over his eyes).
Only problem is, that I already had read in the TV journal about this happening, so I was kinda waiting for it. This could have been a real surprise and shock if I had not known beforehand.
Ok, I figured out the whole vaccuum cleaner thing-- The reason it worked so well is because those women owned one of Phil Sternwise's Vortex Vaccuum Cleaners!! (from "The Visitor") Those are powerful vaccuum cleaners, ya know!
I watched this episode last night on the computer. Speaking of Arsenic and Old Lace wasn't it funny that the name of the house was the Lacey House? I'm surprised that after all that running around he could even put a boot on that foot. And as for the food. I've never seen oatmeal look like that. It look like something that Great grandpa Lacey ate a 100 years ago.
I like the fact that they brought attention to the endangered species act. And that three relatively healthy men couldn't hold their own against two old women and a injured Mac. One question does Mac always go around wearing dirty socks? How come Mac didn't put the end of the coat rack down and use it like a three legged cane? Would've gotten him through the mud a lot faster.
I love the car that Faith and Hope were driving, any one know the make and year? As for the whatever in the stock pot you couldn't have paid me to eat that for a million dollars.

Did it occur to you that the bad guys were erasing their trails and that they placed wooden pannels back?

Another great episode. The pain on Mac's face when he gets his foot caught, I could almost feel it myself! Faith and Hope were funny but they'd drive me nuts if I had to live with them!
I loved that wheelchair that Mac made for himself, and that pink shirt and those braces!!! He looks goooood in braces hehe.
Not sure about the thing with the vacuum cleaner though. Its an electric vacuum, wouldn't it blow up if it had liquid passing through it?

QUOTE (Rockatteer @ 2 January 2007 - 01:31 PM)
Earlier on in the show they tell MacGyver...
"We have pies in the oven".
"Blueberry.. or specialty."
So if you take that quote into account, along with the sheer quantity that's in the vat.
Then you come to a conclusion that it’s probably the blueberry preserves they are using in their pies.
WOW!!

I really liked this episode. It had some serious in it with Mac's injury, but it had lots of comedy to lift the mood. RDA did a fabulous job showing the pain at the beginning of the episode, I cringe and squirm each time I watch it. The reality of the "shocky, weak MacGyver" is really good. I also got a kick out of his reactions to Faith and Hope! He could so tell they were more than they were letting on to be. Not just the sweet little old helpless ladies at the bed and breakfast.
I admit the mob guys were a bit much, but they added to the comedic relief of this episode. Did you notice that the lead mob guy was also the bad guy in "The Lost Amadaeus"? He does a pretty good job with the silly bad guy in both episodes. Kind of bumbling, but with a deadly side.
"I think if you try hard enough and make the best of a situation, the situation won't get the best of you." -MacGyver
...And it's another episode of toes curling inside sneakers as our hero gets battered again! Makes me cringe every time.
Poor Mac, he really is in the wars this season, and he acts it so convincingly. He looks proper rough in this episode and no wonder!
Lots of clever MacGyvering in this one, and Mac having to rein in the surprisingly bloodthirsty sisters from committing even more mayhem. Their enthusiasm for the pounding of the bad guys borders on the macabre!
I wasn't convinced by one or two of the early episodes of season 6, but it does pick up nicely in the middle. The only question is whether Mac finishes the season in one big piece, or lots of little ones (no, don't tell me - I've not seen it all yet!)

I like to call Season 6 the "Mac Whomp" season because of all the abuse he went through. Poor man... lol
Anyone else diggin' Mac's bed-head and salmon colored thermal underwear look? XD I absolutely love this episode. I love the reactions he has when dealing with Faith and Hope. They're like those fussy Aunts that pinch cheeks.
"Walk in love. Walk in service. And you will walk in honor." (Good Knight MacGyver) "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow." - Albert Einstein "What are ferrets made of? Happiness."
I know, he needs body armour and a crash helmet practically every time he steps out of the houseboat!
The pink longjohns and stripy braces amused me too - are they his own (so are there depths to his taste in clothes so far unexplored...?) or did the Lacey sisters find them for him (and was he simply too shocked and woozy to say 'NO!'?) Either way, suddenly his more questionable shirts don't look so bad!

Watching this tonight.
Bed head is adorable, as always
I think he had the pinkish thermals and braces on while he was tracking the wolf; you can see it best when they're pulling him out of the wagon.
Does anyone see the Dexter look when he asks them if there's anything they want to tell him about Leo and why the will is torn in half, when they're tied up? Put the glasses on and bam, there's Dexter
