7 Got a web site named after MacGyver and use to have a cat called MacGyver.

Use to be 6 (Tech Support for big R&D company, which required a lot of MacGyver like problem solving)

I used to be involved in an organization that cleaned up the local river, it was only one day a year but we'd do things like pull hundreds of tires out of the water, clear trash out, etc.

Ha, you all know me- I literally own 20+ knives and if you catch me without a SAK, I'm asleep or showering In fact, I have some custom SAK tool configurations in my collection, and I usually have two on me at any given time- an Executive on my keys (always) and then a larger model in my pocket, a Sportsman, Small Tinker, or a Mechanic.

A couple of jobs, one involved me being a troubleshooter for assembly processes on signs, and also being a driver for the company, they just dropped this whole account on me and let me run the show, I had to map routes, take feedback from customers and improve our processes and designs, etc. It felt Mac-esque at the time, I remember

Wow, I'm really an underachiever, here! I watch the show everyday (or at least try to), but that's about it.

I watched my 1-year old daughter the other day playing with a toy gun, picked from the youngest brother, and the thought flashed through my head - she's a MacGyver .

She was holding the barrel and banging it on the floor .
Even after several attempts from the brother to make her hold the gun, as it's supposed to be held , she kept turning it in her hand, holding the barrel and using it as a hammer .

Okay so here are my answers. I'm not very mac-ish according to this survey.

Only when hiking or camping. I do have one in the glove box in my van next to the first aid kit though.

No - but I do own several down vests and wear a lot of flannel shirts, when camping. Can't wear them at work even though I'd love to.

Just wanted to share my big news. After a year and a month of being unemployeed, Monday I start a job at the Childrens Social Service as a Troubleshooter/teachers Aide helping kids who come from a troubled home. Part of my background that helped me got the job was being part of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and it was all from being influenced by RDA on MacGyver to not just get by but to make an active difference in the world. I told him in my birthday message to him on his site:)

#2 - Yes. Carry a Victorinox Spartan in my left front pocket and have a second Spartan in my car.

#3 - Yes. Have a Naked Biker Jacket identical to Mac's, a The North face brand big blue parka, identical to Mac's, a navy blue and a black MA-1, a Schott brand G2 Raider leather jacket (almost identical to the mac's chevignon) and a MacGyver crew jacket. I owned a black biker jacket similar to Mac's, but sold it a few years ago.

#5 - Yes. Have started to watch at least one DVD a week, while at work (don't tell my boss).

#7 - No - While I have things like duct tape, pocket knives, etc. I haven't given them names. I do however always think of MacGyver when I use duct tape, my SAK or try to create a MacGyverism.

#8 - Owned a 1987 Jeep Wrangler Laredo in the summer 0f 1990. It was silver w/ a black hardtop, was a 5 spd., and did not have the fog lamps nor the winch on the front bumper. Mac's was all grey (distressed), automatic and had the CAT brand fog lamps and the winch on the front bumper.

#9 - DO NOT drink but do swear . . . when needed . . . which is subjective I know.

A combination of #1 & #6 - I work for a security company that has a contract with the Army Corps of Engineers, who are responsible for cleaning up the Former Lowry Bombing and Gunnery Range used during WWII (I'm assigned to this specific site).

2, 3 and 5 for me, plus although I don't do environmental volunteering, I do volunteer with disadvantaged people, so a half of a 1 because I think Mac would approve

I volunteer for a low-cost complementary therapies clinic for people who wouldn't be able to afford treatment otherwise. It's all good.

I just got a first letter and drawing from my little guy several weeks ago. He has a birthday on the 25th and is turning 6!

That rocks!

I'm so excited and happy! Sent off a letter and package back to him today.
