Have you ever noticed when you use your computer first thing in the morning, the icons appear to be in a different place than when you left? Have you sensed that something goes on if you leave your computer on overnight or even if you just leave the room for a while?

Now for the first time, someone has captured what takes place after you leave the room.

i always know my computer was up to something!!!

but i always thought that it was plotting against me.....

every time i walk away from it for more than 5 minutes, it resets it's self!!! and i loose all my work!! .....
i have to sit with it...
waiting for the little box to come up....
i have to click reset later....
can't sleep....
must click the button....
loose work...
fail uni....

I supose icons get bored too... Mine seem fairly content to hang in their little dock on the right side of my screen (it's a Mac - OS 10.4.9) - but I suspect that they talk to each other when I'm not there... deciding if I'm worthy to be in their presence, and what, if any mischief to work on me. My printer connection has been rather touchy lately. Actually, I need to update my drivers, and I've been putting it off, so they're probably angry with me.

That which has been established will endure even with time and at a distance.

I can't tell you anything about what happens after the cameras go off, mostly because I'm usually unconscious by then.

Mine destroyed themselves and my hard drive. Seriously.

When you turn on the computer and it says Windows could not start, the following file is missing or corrupt

windows system config32 system.......... This is not a good thing.

I had to reformat my hard drive and re-install all of my software. Spent 8 hours doing that on tuesday. The good news is, the computer runs great. The bad news, I lost a bunch of pictures, my application for the arts festival, the artist statement I wrote for a publication entry and a bunch of powerpoints for my job. The job stuff isn't too bad, I have them backed up at my office, but the 500 pictures from my California trip last year, well its a good thing I didn't erase them from the digital flash cards.

But I am so proud of myself. I fixed my computer ALL BY MYSELF!!! I know, I know I'm not supposed to shout but since I am not really very good at fixing computers and installing software, can you please forgive me?

My icons are all arranged in nice little rows. They had better behave themselves or they are getting a big timeout!
