It occured to me that if you're not in the US you may never have seen, let alone be aware of, the MacGyver Season's Greeting Adverts they used to do here so:

Sorry it's such a crummy screencap.

You’re forgiven.
Thank you for thinking of us nymphy.
I've seen the season greetings clips Rocky has on this site. Is it a screen cap from something like those but with the crew in it too?
Over here shows don’t seem to do that. Is this a common thing for shows in America to do? Are they clips that get played before/after episodes of the show or do they slot in the commercial breaks or upcoming show preview bits at non-MacGyver times?

So cool!!! Thank you for posting the screencap.

Sure! Plenty of shows do Christmas greetings when December 25th. rolls around...
It's cool to see some MacGyver ads!

that would definately make my christmas. did most tv shows do these things? xx

Sure- lots of shows did these kind of things, especially for Christmas!

Step By Step did for one, anyway. When I can find the video again, I'll post it here.

And incidentally, here's some kind of unofficial Coca Cola commercial with a MacGyver reference.

And a series of commercials- including one for the "Rush to Judgment" episode of MacGyver. (And a quick promo for "Cop Rock"!!! )
