Anyone know why the last season only had 14 episodes? All previous seasons had 20 -22.

Just wondering? After buying the 7th season, I was surprised to only see 4 DVDs instead of 6. The box was kinda thin too.

ABC only contracted for 13 episodes of MacGyver for their last season.

I'm not sure why they only wanted 13 episode, my guess would be to make sure the show had finished in time so they could roll out all their new shows together (including what-ever replaced MacGyver)

Its interesting that MacGyver was canceled because of bad ratings, yet ABC was never able to duplicate the ratings MacGyver got in that Monday night time slot paired with Monday Night Football.

It got cancelled because Fresh Priince and Blossom were kicking it's butt on another network. (just an educated guess, can't prove it LOL)

Fresh Prince and Blossum? Man, what does that say about society at that time? I've never watched either of those shows.

Going back to the 13 episode season 7... must have been a lot of reruns that last year. After watching the last episode, I felt incomplete about the last season. I was wanting more closure I guess.

Another question...are the two made for tv movies of MacGyver available on DVD or tape? I think I may have taped them, but have to search through some boxes.

There's talk that they will be available in the upcoming "full season" DVD release... thats if it ever actually goes ahead.

The only other way to get them is to keep an eye on Ebay for people selling recorded from TV copies of the movies.

Before I left on holiday Lost Treasure of Atlantis was to be seen on YouTube. Complete. Apparently it's gone now.

Maybe they had to remove it as it might be coming on DVD?

It kind of sucks, I bought all seasons seperately, which means my set is complete except for the movies. So if I'd want the original DVD's of the movies I'd have to buy the entire set again??

I know! Why can't they just release the movies as separate DVDs? Maybe they will....

Maybe like Sheepy, they heard a lot of pootinky from people who had already bought all seven seasons and were more than a little irritated they'd have to buy again to get the movies so the pulled the project to re-orgainize it.

If you've never watched them how can you comment negatively about them?

I personally find Fresh Prince very funny and entertaining. Blossom on the other hand I found too much like Lisa Woodman - in other words she annoyed the *censored* out of me and so I only watched a hand full of episodes.

"Fresh Prince of Bel Air" was good, I usually watched it if I was home.

"Blossum" on the other hand, while I never got into it, I did have a crush on Six, Blossum's best friend, played by Jenna Van Oy.

I've seen too many reruns of the Fresh Prince on television, that's why I haven't bought the dvd's yet. I never saw Blossom though. If 'Lisa Woodman' annoyed everyone it's probably because she looked much like the character being around the same age she was on MacGyver.
