Oh my goodness! I just happened to be looking through IMDB.com and I ran across Robert Sean Leonard's page (star of the current show House, M.D. and also star of a favorite movie of mine from 1989- Dead Poets' Society!)
Someone commented on this in the forum and I have to agree. Look at this picture of Robert Sean Leonard.

Wow- he seriously looks like a young Richard Dean Anderson!!! I still don't want to see anyone but RDA as MacGyver in a new movie, but if the movie producers insist on going with a remake version- this guy might be a good choice!

I always thought Robert Sean Leonard had a few (just a few) Jim Carrey characteristics about him--nothing extreme, though, just his eyes, hair, and a few of his facial expressions. I never associated his appearance with RDA's. He is a good actor, though. He's in Dead Poets Society--one of my favorite films. Oh wait...I see that you already mentioned that.

I am so sorry, but I really (REALLY) don't see the resemblance...

Someone also mentioned this on RDA.com and a lot of people -kind of- agreed, but no matter how hard I try, I can't see it...

I guess to me... well, there's only one RD.

Yeah, sorry- Robert Sean Leonard, ONE of the stars of House, M.D.
Yes, I've seen some of Hugh Laurie's comedy and he's pretty funny.
(Of course, to some people, Robert might be the star to them! I guess it's like calling Henry Winkler the star of Happy Days, when everybody knows it's really Ron Howard and Anson Williams!

)

Anyway, the point was that I just thought that particular picture of Robert looked a bit like Richard Dean....and yeah- having seen him in "Dead Poet's Society" I would never have thought that from that movie- I think it's just that one picture viewed at the right angle...
