I've been thinking about what my all time favorite TV shows are. Almost all them seem to stem from the 80's and 90's.

I found it quite hard to order anything beyond the top 3, but I gave it a go.

This is my list.. whats yours?

1. MacGyver
2. The West Wing
3. Knight Rider
4. StreetHawk
5. Home Improvement
6. Viper
7. Star Trek TNG
8. MythBuster
8. The Apprentice
9. Automan
10. Lois & Clark

Runners up:
Dog - The bounty hunter, Six million dollar man, The Professionals, The Flash, Top Gear

Oh... this IS hard! I like so many shows for so many reasons. This is what I've narrowed it down to:

1. MacGyver
2. Legend
3. Stargate SG-1
4. Nightstalker
5. Firefly
6. Forever Knight
7. Brisco County, Jr.
8. Jeeves & Wooster
9. X-Files/The Lone Gunmen
10. Babylon 5

... and this just scratches the surface! No room for 'Baa Baa Blacksheep' or 'Hogan's Heroes', 'Barretta' and 'Magnum PI', 'Bonanza' and 'Battlestar Galactica', all the CSI's and 'NCIS', '24', 'Angel', 'Due South', 'The Avengers', 'Monty Python's Flying Circus', 'Lord Peter Wimsey', Sherlock Holmes in his every incarnation....

*sigh* so many good shows... so little cooperation from the broadcasting syndicates!

... And I forgot all about 'The Twilight Zone', 'Amazing Stories', 'Tales from the Darkside', 'The Outer Limits', 'Dark Shadows'... these TV shows were the ones that warped my mind into the terrifying thing that it is today! laugh.gif

Oh man, pic a harder question why don't you? if you said like top 3, I could just name those off no problem and in order! lol. But TEN? oy.

OK...I don't watch a whole lot of TV with one station and all, so most of my list is moldy oldies...These are shows I tried/try to never miss:

1. MacGyver
2. GI Joe (Sunbow)
3. Star Trek OS
The rest may or may not be in any particular order...
4. 21 Jump Street
5. Hunter (I think it was on every Friday night at 10 pm, and we couldn't leave Gramma's till it was over...lol)
6. Criminal Minds
7. Fat Albert
8. Dukes of Hazzard
9. Wild Wild West
10. NCIS

Honorable mentions (shows I like a whole lot, but don't remember being as obsessive about):
Knight Rider
The Incredible Hulk
Wonder Woman
Transformers
Remington Steele
Star Trek TNG
JAG
CSI
Everybody Loves Raymond

Ugh that was too hard to do during an afternoon slump!

I cannot possibly answer this, except for the obvious number 1, of course.

I do love

Due South
Transformers (thank you!!!)
21 Jump Street
Full House
CSI Las Vegas
House
Ghost Whisperer
Kommissar Rex (Austrian/German show)
Silas

In random order that was, though I think Due South would be at number 2.

Here's my top ten, and yes, most of the shows are from the 80s and 90s for me, too.

1. MacGyver
2. Stargate SG-1 (okay, that went into the 2000s, but I still love it wink.gif )
3. Seinfeld
4. Northern Exposure
5. Frasier
6. Mythbusters
7. Curb Your Enthusiasm (another more recent one, but I love it--Larry David is hilarious! laugh.gif )
8. The Simpsons
9. Futurama (by the Simpsons creator--I love my sci-fi funny!)
10. A three-way tie between Malcolm in the Middle, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Home Improvement

It was difficult to generate this list at first, but I really got into it once I thought about it a little and realized what shows I do enjoy. smile.gif

Not sure I have ten favourites...
I don't watch a lot of television.

1) MacGyver
2) House, M.D.
3) Penn & Teller's "B.S.!" (not sure if I'm allowed to say the full name)
4) Fawlty Towers

if I had to add more, it'd be the Law and Order shows.

Ooo! I forgot about Law & Order! When I was a kid, I wanted to be a lawyer, so I used to devour episodes of Law & Order! It's an awesome show, and it's run for so long! ohmy.gif Penn and Teller is pretty good, too, as is The Sopranos and other HBO shows. When the rest of TV went mostly wrong after the 90s, cable seemed to pick up the slack and create some quality shows.

1. MacGyver.
2. Magnum PI.
3. 24.
4. Prison Break.
5. Xena Warrior Princess.
6. Lost.
7. The Power Rangers.
8. Boy Meets World.
9. Saved by the Bell.
10. The Wonder Years.

Those are 10 I can think of and 10 that meant a lot to me the past 15 years. Prison Break and Lost not included (too recent). And to be honest when I saw the first season of Magnum he was sure kicking MacGyver's butt in my opinion. Even in some ways, I was starting to think the better of him than MacGyver. However many episodes in the second season and some in the third season weren't that good. Some episode didn't seem to take off, it was like they went about nothing.

I can’t do an all time top ten because it really depends what mood I’m in what show I want to watch but if I had to pick ten shows I could watch now (in sort of order of preference…I think) I’d have
1) MacGyver
2 ) Dr Who
3) Sea of souls
4) NCIS
5) Wire in the Blood
6) Stargate SG1
7) Due South
8) Quantum Leap
9) Taggart
And uhm unsure.gif …Only one more ohno-smiley.gif ! Well then I pick ...
10)Airwolfknightridertopgearcoasttocoastblueplanetmasterchefgoeslargestargateatlantis
xfilesmontypythonsflyingcircus….
huh.gif Nope. I’m not going to succeed at this!

Top Ten. Will try to do mine:

MacGyver
X-Files
Stargate SG1
House
Grey's Anatomy
Criminal Minds
CSI New York
CSI Las Vegas
CSI Miami
Without a Trace

Somehow after the first four, the others seem to very much depend on particular episodes rather than the whole series. Also I am unsure of how much has really been aired in my part of the world and how much I may have been missing. But I agree, this was tough. I may have a different opinion tomorrow...

Uhmmm…
This is not easy…
dry.gif

1. Stargate (SG1 & Atlantis)
2. MacGyver
3. X-Files
4. 7 days
5. Midnight Caller
6. CSI (all of them)
7. Star Trek (all of them)
8. Babylon 5
9. Sliders
10. JAG

And then at least 12 other titles fell below the *magic* ten.

My top 10 in no particular order:

1 MacGyver
2 Stargate
3 X-Files
4 Quantum Leap
5 NCIS
6 Simpsons
7 Northern Exposure
8 Law and Order
9 Cold Case
10 Without a Trace

MASH is also in the top 15. I don't care much for situation comedies, most of them have insipid plot lines and characters to dumb to be remotely believable. I enjoy shows that have lessons and deal with moral, ethical and social issues of the day. I like shows that tell a good story and make me think.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Albert Einstein

The stuff is already here, I just find a different way to use it. MacGyver

I forgot Mystery Science Theater 3000--or MST3K! Has anyone else seen this or like it? It's about goofy, cheesy guys (well, one goofy guy and two cheesy robots to be exact wink.gif ) making fun of even cheesier movies! It's hilarious! laugh.gif

Oh yeah, I remember that. My friends and I used to watch it all the time when I was in college. Pizza, beer, MST3000. Now that brings back some memories..........
