So how about that weather, it's pretty warm down here today...

Of all the weather I've ever seen, this is some of it.

So that weather deal......... Hey look, Utah is finally coming out of the deep freeze.

In fact, its warmer at my house than at my Mom's.


Yeah, so............anybody do anything fun over the weekend?

Nothing as yet, I have some bowling to get out of the way...

I sure did . . . I finished my story! It's now in the hands of my eagle-eyed proofreading partner, and I'm going to start posting the first chapters.

Good work. Last w/e as the question originally was, I'm just blind, I watched movies and played ps3. I was raining all day Saturday and Sunday...

It was raining all weekend...

And what a diffeence a day makes..........yesterday it was nice and warm 50!

Today, its back in the Arctic deep freeze with 16 inches of snow in about 5 hours, 70 mph winds and white out conditions.

The company I work for is bidding a contract for some work in Antartica. Guess the weather figured we needed some more practice with living in adverse "high hazard" conditions.

If I haven't mentioned it before, I HATE THE COLD!!!!!!!!!!!


Grrl slinks away to glare at snow and sulk. At least I have an excuse for being late to work in the AM.

I've already been outside taking pictures of the snow tonight. Have to wait for daylight to get some better ones.

Definitely calls for brownies . . . or maybe hot chocolate instead . . . laced with something particularly warming.

And you can curl up with chapter 3 while you're at it . . .

About a week ago it was in the high 50's here in Northern Ohio,last few days have definetley reminded us up here that Old Man Winter is in full effect.Still not as bad as Fargo,ND.

StarWars A New Hope/Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone; synopsis

Luke Skywalker /Harry Potter is an orphan living with his uncle and aunt on the remote wilderness of Tatooine/the suburbs.

He is rescued from aliens /Muggles by wise, bearded Ben Kenobi / Hagrid, who turns out to be a Jedi Knight/ Wizard.

Ben / Hagrid reveals to Luke / Harry that Luke's/ Harry's father was also a Jedi Knight / Wizard, and was the best pilot/ Quidditch Seeker he had ever seen.

Luke/ Harry is also instructed in how to use the Jedi light sabre / Magic Wand and as he too trains to become a Jedi / Wizard.

Luke / Harry has many adventures in the galaxy / Hogwarts and makes new friends such as Han Solo / Ron Weasley and Princess Leia / Hermione Granger.

In the course of these adventures he distinguishes himself as a top X-wing pilot / Seeker in the battle of the Death Star / Hogwart's Quidditch Match, making the direct hit / catch that secures the Rebels'/ Gryffindors' victory against the forces of evil., Slythern

Luke/ Harry also sees off the threat of Darth Vader/ Lord Voldemort, who we know murdered his uncle and aunt / parents.

In the finale, Luke / Harry and his new friends receive medals of valour / the House Cup.

All of this will be set to an orchestral score composed by John Williams.

Well, TPTB have said before that there are no new ideas.........personally I don't believe that. I come up with new ideas on how to do more work in less time every single day.

Oh BTW, there is a positive to the recent blizzard........I now have a 5 day weekend. Monday was a regularly scheduled holiday, and my worksite is closewd because of bad weather.

I work on an Army depot and this is only the third time in 14 years that I remember them closing operations. So, I will be posting some pics of the snow at my house, hanging around here, drinking lovely mochas, and enjoying my day. Heck, I might even get ambitious and work on my fic or do a little jewelry designing.

And of course, watch a little MacGyver...........there's a couple of eppies that should warm me up.

Amazing how similar the stories are

Amazing that nearly all media is the same these days. The music industry is the worst. I must have heard about 4-5 different remixes of a song yesterday. I wouldn't call someone mixing someone elses work a musician. Just someone with too much spare time and someone funding his/her hobby... That's probably why I tend to listen to older music, rather than new stuff.

Hence the saying, everything old is new again.............

I know, have you seen the fashion lately, 80's to the max...

I was going to do that for an 80's party my mate had a few weeks ago. Decided to go as Marty McFly instead...

Ok, as promised, I posted the pics of our latest snowstorm. Look in Galleries, Adventuring MacGyver Style. We didn't really travel anywhere, except from work to home, but that definitely was an adventure.

So am I forgiven for being cranky over the weather?

DAMN that's a lot of snow. I would die, i've only ever been to the snow once as it doesn't snow around my parts.

Yeah and that all fell yesterday! We still have to excavate the mailbox. If we don't, the mailman won't deliver the mail. He was pretty forgiving today and brought us the mail while we were clearing snow from the driveway.

My husband's truck got stuck in the driveway and its 4 wheel drive!

Not looking forward to the mailbox excavation. We have 30 ft by 15ft of snow to move to clear the path for the mail truck. Anybody who wants a little exercise and some great food (I'll make chili) are welcome to come over and play.

Thanks. All I can say is, I think we will have plenty of water for the summer, especially since we have a good 7 more weeks of potential snowfall here.
